Classic cop who shouldn't have a badge.
He was definitely on a power trip.
@@BruceCross THUG with a badge.
Cops like that guy have a thick file. The guy is stupid and he's dangerous and he should have been fired. He's putting his department at risk.
And tax dollars... When they finally catch a lawsuit, he won't be liable for the money paid out.
He's putting himself and everyone at risk of getting dead. He should be charged with ADW and Armed Robbery.
The cop (and I use that term very loosely) is fortunate he was not killed by someone protecting his community. No uniform, no badge, no credentials. Betting any “reasonable” individual would assume this is an armed robbery.
It WAS an armed robbery basically.
My thoughts exactly!!! Plain clothes guy with a gun, taking the biker’s wallet and bike… 🤦🏼♂️
This guy is a menace to society! He should have been fired.
That cop was insane
I'm a retired big city cop and I don't trust today's law enforcement.
I'm a security officer at a truck stop. Funny enough many truckers who are former LE & changed careers, tell me the same thing.
🧢
Thank you for your service.
wow ...that's a huge statement!
Abolish Qualified Immunity!
Why does this not have all the likes?!
Really? Let’s lump all police officers into the same group. Politicians already don’t back the police. Why would anyone want to be a police officer without any protections.
I would give the footage to a lawyer. The policeman and department should be taught a lesson. This could have been tragic for all involved!
Very sad , but seems ego was way overboard with plain clothes, deputy
That had all the flavor of an assault and robbery, not a traffic stop. IMO that biker would have been totally justified in using force to defend himself.
That’s officer should shows the ID immediately, he risked his life for a traffic violation, thanks God that nothing happened. He could be confused with armed person committing a robbery.
This looked like the videos I’ve seen of Brazil, random dude running up to rob the motorcyclist.
My thoughts exactly!!! Plain clothes guy with a gun, taking the biker’s wallet and bike… 🤦🏼♂️
Bully with a badge
That was completely inappropriate way to handle this as a cop, I hope this cop was fired for endangering this guy's life like this. No reason at all
Likely promoted
Why did they blur out the scary gun?
RUclips. They will strike a channel for the strangest things.
'Cause its triggering. 8>)
They deleted my comment just for mentioning the word
@@DoctorQuackenbush😂
If I would have just been driving by I might have drawn thinking the man standing there with his pew pew out was robbing the guy on the bike.
So many things could have gone wrong.
My thoughts exactly!!! Plain clothes guy with a gun, taking the biker’s wallet and bike… 🤦🏼♂️
The cop was hiding the guy. To me real cops are not afraid to show what they are doing.
That is the guy giving them bad names. He’s a criminal playing cop
There's no way an cop should do anything like that ever.
Image if the guy on the motorcycle was an off duty cop?
Please tell me there were repercussions to the deputy?
He received a 5 day suspension.
@BirdDogey1 thanks. He should have been fired.
@BirdDogey1 how do you know?
@@kurlis Google it. Sheriff had a press conference.
There are also a few local news articles available. The detective was suspended 5 days, the motorcyclist received a $65k settlement, and there was a change to that department's policy regarding pointing a firearm as a use of force.
I have heard from people who have spent time in prison that home invaders will yell “police” when they enter a victim’s house. The Sheriff’s Deputy could have died, and it would have been the deputy’s fault.
Wow, that "cop" needs to be fired, immediately.
He looks like a total lawsuit magnet, he must be WELL-insulated by his union.
The only thing that could even remotely identify him as a cop was the blue lights.
That cop opened the door wide for someone to shoot him thinking he was a mugger.
That guy needs to be fired! He is more dangerous to the public than the idiot speeding.
Bad Cop: “Because I’m the police”. Yeah, so was the Gestapo.
I am SHOCKED that he was an actual cop. He absolutely has NO business in law enforcement whatsoever. None.
Good advice. Know.
Earning the hate!
That was a scary thing
He should be suspended and sued for not Showing proper ID
He was suspended for 5 days and the motorcyclist received a $65k settlement.
That cop should be fired and have his certification revoked
Ed has the greatest voice!
File a complaint with his department. This kind of thing is totally illegal and unsafe. He should be suspended immediately and fired.
He did end up receiving a 5 day suspension, there was some department policy change, and the motorcyclist also got a $65k settlement.
I just read King County Sheriff's Department paid $65,000 settlement.
You can legally self defense a cop …look it up.
Irresponsible to say the least. That could have ended differently for any of them.
Holy Crap!
Anyone who has any sense of right & wrong knows the deputy was the most ignorant person ever. Omg.
Contact the civil rights lawyer on his youtube channel about this video, and send him the video on his website
That officer should be fired and sued. He should have immediately identified himself as a police officer.
There did end up being a lawsuit and the motorcyclist received a $65k settlement.
That is the stupidest thing to do pulling out your gun like that.
I'd like to say the officer is outrageous but, previously have had a gun pointed at me by the police during road block searching for robbery suspects. You always cooperate with the guy with the gun.
Whoaaaaaa!.....IF said CCW had witnessed this and drawn on that "police officer" whatever would have happened from there would have been on the "police officers" responsibilities. Just because a person has a badge DOES NOT give them special rights when they FAIL to identify themselves in any matter at all and you both know this as well as I do. This officer should be fired, period, end of story. And the idiot doing "100mph" should be fined and dealt with accordingly, NOT threatened at gun point!
WOW😮
I would have been afraid it was a “Jeremy Dewitt”
Wow you make a good point. The other side if this is the rider would've been while within his rights to defend himself. But sadly he would've went to jail for a long time! A thing called immunity for the cop who clearly was in the wrong! My feelings are torn because I totally see this going way LEFT! AND ANOTHER INNOCENT would've been put in jail! Fyi no ish everyone went home! I'm just saying especially in my state of Florida and Texas. Wow I can see this going way wrong
if that cop got shot that’s on the cop being dumb what if that bike rider was a fast draw & seen his guy coming??
That cops a garbage tyrant
That is a bad look for the law enforcement. That was the wrong way to go about it.
I hope this “officer” gets fired for life. What an idiot.
He ended up being suspended for 5 days and there were changes made to that department's use of force policies.
@usccaofficial 5 days are most definitely not enough.
This kind of cop needs to be fired! If he has been a cop for any length of time he should know better! He is showing a perfect example of why they want to defund the police!
Were there any repercussions? Is there a link to the original video?
The detective was suspended for 5 days, the motorcyclist received a $65k settlement, and there were some policy changes made at the department regarding pointing a firearm as a use of force.
There are a couple news articles about the incident and the original video is still on RUclips.
@@USCCAOfficial Thanks.
Spacial Awareness, Pay attention to your Mirrors Even At a Stop Light. For example, he could have gotten rear-ended. Be aware of your sorounings. This could have been a real robber.
What did the rider do that warranted a LEO to pull his firearm?
This world is getting CRAZY
Best case scenario, if you are not threatened, stay out of it! And as for the motorcycle rider..... Maybe stop playing Evel Knievel, and drive the speed limit,so you don't get a stupid cop to come up on you with a gun,and no badge!!!!
The ONLY injustice to come out of this situation is if that 'COP' is still BREATHING!!!
This insanity IS going to stop, one way or another!
I like this new host
7:30 “… this was the mistake…”, but would you have apologized and have admitted it was a mistake?
Was the cop's name: "Dirty Harry?"
Until he identified himself as police, the biker would be well within his rights to take off.
The cop received a pathetic 5 day suspension without pay. However the biker took jim to court and win a $65k settlement.
Its cops like this with the lack of accountability that fuels distrust with law enforcement.
"You need to know exactly what's going on before you insert yourself into that situation."
With all due respect, sir. That's not possible. If such advice was heeded, no one would ever be able to intervein in the defense of another unless bullets are already flying. By then it's too late, as casualties are near guaranteed once we get to that point.
Did the "cop" get in trouble?
What happened to the knucklehead officer? How did it go?
That LE officer should be reprimanded and/or fired.
He was suspended for 5 days, and the department made a change to their policy regarding pointing a firearm as use of force.
Washington state baby 😂
The officer made the assumption while in plain clothing that the motor cyclist is suppose to know immediately that he saw an officer of the law. Arrogance at it's best..
Not knowing if the guy with a gun is a good guy or bad guy, why would you advise NOT to run? It could have been his only chance to escape....
But the PD will back this officer in the name of brotherhood.....no matter how bad this was. That's the sad part.
Second point is that officers should not be able to do things like this when not on duty. Should be limited to life-or-death situation involvement when not on duty.
BTW, my family is full of LEO...officers, detective, chiefs, sheriff deputies, border patrol. I was the black sheep by going military.
Do you know what happened to the deputy?
He was suspended for 5 days, and there was also a policy change at the department regarding pointing a firearm as use of force.
Where's the video of what the guy did? Thats the question
Was he fired ?
He was suspended for 5 days. The department also made some changes to their use of force policies and the motorcyclist received a $65k settlement.
You got to be able to call stupid cops out when it happens...not gotta be careful cuz u think painting with a broad brush is gonna shjt all over this manz carreer. This happens wayyyyyy more often than you realize. And no i dont hate cops but im neutral about them.
Wtf
This guy was pissed off and road rage not because he was a sheriff's deputy that didn't like the man's driving although that may have been part of it but because he was angry and pissed off and he wanted to confront the guy he's probably a small town sheriff deputy who knows that if there isn't any cameras he would have gotten away with everything Scott free you would have wrote up the report the way he wanted the events to appear
Did the motorcycle rider follow up with a complaint and a law suit? If a citizen had done this to any one he or she would be in Jail so should the ignorant cop.In California a person being accosted on or in their vehicle has a right given to him or her by the state to use deadly force to stop the person or persons hijacking him or her. This ignorant sheriff was very lucky he did not run into a person who was armed and feared for his life we might be looking at a justified shooting where both citizens had the potential to be hurt or killed and even a innocent bystander.I believe this was a road rage incident by cop.The cop should answer to his unlawful action and brought in front of a court.
That cop would never do that to certain bikers.
Yes, there was a civil suit after the fact. The motorcyclist received a $65k settlement and the department made some changes to their use of force policy.
Anyone know what if anything happened to this cop?
He was suspended for 5 days, and the department made some updates/changes to their use of force policies.
@@USCCAOfficial Thanks for the update.. Not suprising, Some say Police should be held to a higher standard, which is true I would just like them to be held to equal punishment. Do that as a civilian and you are going to jail. I bet they use this video in training for what not to do.
So? What happened to the cop?
He was suspended for 5 days, and there were changes made to department policy about pointing firearms as a use of force.
Could be the worst traffic stop ever, but let’s not pretend that the biker cut out the part where he probably was going 100 cutting people off.
Maybe, but there's no actual evidence of that so you're just wildly speculating from a prejudiced position. If there was any evidence, either from the bikers cams or the "deputy's", they would have supoenaed it and used it.
Yo he is lucky dude didn’t have no friends wit a gun with him or he have one hisself
Cause it really looks like a robbery
so if he had another person with him or even a passerby got a gun n looks at that like a armed robbery it would’ve been over for everybody

Cop pulls that on some millatary person with ptsd thats bs cop should be fired
Disrespect constitution rights. Put arms in pants and other. Anybody can say your a policeman. All rong.
A whole lot of talk and no real information of value. This should have been taken care of at a state level so the sheriff’s office wouldn’t be able to sweep it away.
I appreciate the coverage on this, but it wasnt very helpful at all. All you guys did here was make comments on how you felt about it and gave no real tips.
Maybe work on that in the future yeah!?
Like it fealt to me like you saw this and just wanted to getout in front of it and upload a video with no real substance. I can't respect that.
Ed and Kevin did talk about how the motorcyclist handled it about as well as you could in the moment, without turning this into a bigger and more dangerous situation.
They also touched on the dangers of being anyone else in traffic when you see a situation like this and think about intervening to help.
These Guys rock hard with the thin blue line never an honest opinion
Yooo @Squidtips is on USCCA.
In all fairness tho, with the video evidence, if the motorcycle rider pulled out his gun thinking he was getting robbed, could he have a case? The guy didn’t identify himself and just pointed a gun at him unlawfully. 🤷🏻
