Thanks for helping out at the Hollar's. It's great how the homesteading community reaches out to help one another. It is not an easy lifestyle for sure but so much more fun doing it together with friends. Have a Blessed day.
@@TheKraemerLife Sometimes we are in shorts at Thanksgiving and then it gets cold and again short sleeves at Christmas. NC weather is not a given. Jan on it will be cold.
So glad you met up with the Hollars. I have been following them for quite a while. They reminded me of our family even though we never homesteaded. I found the Mother Earth News in 1972 listening to a radio show when I was working in Santa Cruz. We subscribed to the magazine and started following their adventures. We got married in 73 and decided to hit the road because we didn't want to raise a family in San Francisco. Many miles and many homesteads later we wound up in Washington. I learned how to harvest chickens and pigs, milk goats, build sheds, basic welding, gardening skills all from the many friendly and generous people we stayed with. Good luck on finding your homestead. I subscribed.
Thanks for subscribing. Where in Washington? We are from Portland. Looked for 1 year for property in WA and decided to search on the east coast for a while.
hello Kramer Life l have popped over from the Hollars and am now binge watching your videos after subscribing to your channel ...Be Blessed Beautiful People ...!
Watched you on Hollar Homestead helping them out, so shot over to your blog to get a different view of the day. Loved it……….you showed what goes into the work effort of processing the chickens. You have a new fan.
nate, make sure you look over in tennessee in the appalachian highlands area. it is beautiful, affordable and their are alot of nice size farms where you can raise a family and start your homestead. the people are fantastic and you are close to everything you need
Thanks for helping out the Hollars. North Carolina has become a great community of youTubers - learning and helping each other. Hope your forever home brings the same when you find it. BTW - you’re doing a great job of filming/editing your videos. I enjoyed the one at the Rhodes as well. 😊👍
I just watched your version of the Hollar’s chicken processing. I also just became a subscriber. Now I’m going to check out more of your videos. Good luck from Hidden Meadow Farm!
Love this we just put almost 100 in freezer camp. Side not if you guys have a Water trough they work great for the water bath at the end. We have a 100 gallon one we fill half full of ice then fill with water and cover with a piece of plywood it keeps our birds around 32° even in july. It held 90ish birds.
New to the channel (thank ben& meg), Thanks for helping at the hollars process their birds. Looking forward to watching and getting to know your homestead. Happy Thanksgiving
I came over from the Uploads channel and also saw that you were helping the Rhodes. Your videos are well done. I subscribed and look forward to watching more of your videos. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
You are correct, Little Eden Valley Farm, my first time processing chickens was with Justin Rhodes. I took one of his workshops. Beyond learning how to process chickens, I also met some great people, including "The Modern Yeoman" and "3:19 Farm and Outdoors".
Popping over from the Hollar's as well. Like what I see, think I will stay :)
Thanks, Bernie!
Me too. Xx

Excellent tip. Thank you. How long did it take you to process 100 birds?
@@TheKraemerLife it took around 5 hours for all but that was 5 adults doing it. When my husband and I did it alone it took about 4hrs to do 50 birds.
Excellent, I see the f.o.g.
