The Corsair was as beautiful as it was savage in the way it cut down enemy aircraft. And those gull wings made it so unmistakable. I love this plane. And that growl from the engine.....
Best looking plane of all time!
You must have never seen a Catalina PBY then.
Pby is nice too
What a sound!
that plane has the coolest Corsair "blue" paint on it because it looks dark green in person and I love it. 🙂
This paint scheme is Gloss Sea Blue, and it was the standard color scheme worn by Navy, and Marine combat aircraft, until the introduction of the Gull Gray over Insignia White color scheme in 1956.
Don't have to watch this to give a thumbs-up! Great sound!! Love the Corsair!!!
Delivered brand new to the RNZAF in 1945 as NZ5612. The RNZAF operated 424 Corsairs during WWII. This aircraft was only ever operated by the RNZAF and was rescued from being scrapped in New Zealand after the war.
You had me at taxiing.
0:12 What a beast! Sounds so good
Lovely aircraft to see fly!! We have one that flies here in the UK as part of The Fighter Collection based at Imperial War Museum Duxford
Beautiful bird
Now that's my kinda music, well played!
Powerful Engine
Thank you for sharing. I was there to see this, but didn't have a way to record it. The Corsair is so badass!!!
I just saw this exact aircraft at last year's Guardians of Freedom Air Show in Licoln, Nebraska, and that aircraft is now the fourth airworthy example that I've seen here in my home state of Nebraska.
Beautiful airplane, and that big radial.
Mustang and that Roll Royce sound vs. Corsair within big radial -- I would hate to pick which was better sounding.
Corsair is absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you for the video.
Nothing sounds better than a radial as it taxi's by. Hard to beat a Merlin at takeoff power.
Soy Venezolano 100.0/0 me gusta.este tipo de avión.de combate de la 2. Guerra mundial F4U Corsair q belleza de avión q línea 👍👍👏👊
Absolutely love it!!
Love hearing the R-2800 idling. Sounds like a big cam in a big block V8...
Sounds like the P51, with a little more bottom end and bass depth and little to no whistle.
As a semi pro musician, I love relating the sounds of engines to musicality.
I love this plane alot
Outstanding!! Whish it was a higher res but maybe that's a YT issue.
As a child I, mes amis, read the memoirs of a chap who Flew one of these in WWII. He Claimed the flight manual said that the glide-characteristics were SO poor, that if the engine stopped, you should bail-out (if high enough) ... OR 'Whistle A Happy Tune and Kiss Your Ass Goodbye '! ... because a 'dead-stick " landing was very iffy.
Sweet! Now all I need is a Sea Fury video and I'll be just fine.
I really enjoyed the video but I would have liked to have seen the actual takeoff, gear retraction, extension and landing. Thank you for sharing this video.
18 cylinders of pure bent wing fun. There is definately something ZEN about this! Volume up please.
Ola tudo bem,/boa noite, obrigado ao envio do video a ser assistido desse canal,/segunda feira,02/01/2023.ok
Who else is here after watching the film Devotion 2022?
BA BA Black Sheep!!!! F4 U
Not me playing war thunder on my spotify over this
I heard lots of music!
Symphony for eighteen cylinders and three propeller blades.
Strictly speaking of course, that's a Goodyear FG-1D 🤓
THEY DIDN’T SHOW THE LANDING. Ybtj. Iwon’t be back to this channel.
