If you are watching this as a non-vegan, I hope I will help explain why adopting a vegan lifestyle is necessary. For the wellbeing of the animals tortured and killed for their flesh and secretions. For the protection of the planet and all life that depends on it. For your health. Go to • GARY YOUROFSKY - The G... to hear the listen to the best speech you'll ever hear about animal rights. Go to www.challenge22.com for meal suggestions and nutrition support.
If you are a vegan that doesn’t speak for the animals, I hope I can inspire you to open conversations with non-vegans. As vegans we have woken up to the systemic oppression of farmed animals, after abstaining from contributing to their suffering we must help others align their morals with their actions.

I really like your approach and i can understand adding more assertive methods but tailoring it to the people is important. As these said at the end, sometimes engagement will drop off if people feel victimised, whether that's wrong or not. Outreach is really tough and i applaud you!

15:08 They can say this and still not go vegan. I just finished watching Paul Bashir's Holding Non-Vegans Accountable 2.0. We don't have much data on which outreach style is better. At a minimum, I would try to include some kind of call to action to go vegan. I tend to try to be agreeable during outreach, but I am changing my style more towards a more assertive outreach for 2024.
I read a book called Motivational Methods of Vegan Advocacy: A Clinical Psychology Perspective. It recommended assertive activism where the goal of going vegan is clearly stated and the fact the person is contributing to violence is emphasized. Similar to what Paul Bashir says in the Holding Non-Vegans Accountable 2.0 Workshop. Good job getting out there.

Hey Colburn :) Thanks so much for the feedback I really appreciate it, and I will check out those resources you mentioned. My approach has changed a lot in the few years I've been doing this and I am absolutely trying to become more assertive as I think that is the most effective way. Being agreeable comes naturally to me and I think it has its benefits when communicating but sometimes that extra push can mean the difference between that person committing to going vegan or it remaining a vague possibility.
Again, really appreciate the feedback and good luck with your activism 😊

@@Amber.For.Animals I never claimed to love animals. A rational obligation is a moral, social, or legal requirement. There is no moral, social, or legal requirement to abstain from eating animal foods. You're free to treat animals that are in your care with as much kindness as you like.

@@Carnemexada people with compassion have an intuitive protection of the vulnerable, unless you are speciesist this goes towards non-human animals also. There is currently no legal requirement but does legality equal morality? Many injustices were legal before a law was passed, does that make them moral? Eating flesh has a victim, why chose a diet which tortures and murders unnecessarily?

@@Amber.For.Animals we're all speciesist. There is no moral requirement to abstain from eating animal foods. Torture seems like an animal welfare issue. Murder is exclusive to humans. @@Amber.For.Animals 1080 will kill pest animals if a lethal dose is eaten as it starves calcium and energy from cells. Disruption to the central nervous system then leads to unconsciousness.
1080 must be digested before it becomes toxic and, in a dog or fox, this can between 30 and 180 minutes after the bait is eaten. The time depends on the dosage consumed, digestion rates and body and ambient temperature.
After the toxin takes effect, the dog is initially disorientated and then becomes unconscious and while unconscious it cannot perceive pain.
