I lost my Ford EDGE key but I just bought a replacement key from Amazon thinking it will come with instructions on how to program this new key but it didn’t come with any instructions. Do I also need to buy an Autel device to program the key or is the programming done at a ford dealership? Thanks again!
u can program the the fob portion yourself but u need to call a locksmith to program the chip and make the car run.
Does the key must have the same number of buttons to program remote
as long as is the same FCCID will be fine
Why did you need to put the 1st working in the ignition turn the ignition on? It’ll go forward with the new cut un programmed key right

I was exspecting a link to the tool your using. or at least the name/model numbers.
the name of the tool I used alot is Autel IM608 pro.

Can it program if all keys lost?
Yes u can with this tool. it's one of the best right now in the market.
I tried to program , but the machine says fail communication. Do you know what relay is this?

can you communicate with the ecu on live data. or it says fail communication while programming a key?

Can this be due to a bad relay? Or fuse?
