Down right facts my man I got a 2017 5.0 f150 and it’s got 196,000 miles and it runs and drives like brand new the transmission is great literally the best truck out there no cap very reliable powerful somewhat efficient and it’s got the perfect amount of technology love seeing your vids man keep it up
Definitely bro. I don’t ever plan to get rid of this truck. Very reliable and powerful as you stated! Appreciate you watching bro 💯
Did you ever change or flush the transmission fluid in your truck I've never changed in any car I owned but I bought a brand new truck 5.0 coyote
@@KeithWilliams-uw9ym I don’t even know I’m the second owner it probably was changed at some point because it was serviced a lot. The oil changes were done every 3-5k miles but yeah the key is to do regularly do maintenance on these 5.0s and they’ll last a lifetime
@@TFBJFord yeah man np, glad you ain’t getting rid of it cuz it’s one of the if not cleanest 2017 f150s on RUclips
I rather have a 10 speed.
I got a 17 5.0 4x4 as well and dude it is my baby. I pray that nothing bad happens to it so I can keep it forever
Same brother lol. I baby that truck
Theres no sound in the world better than the rumble of a V-8 in the night!
Only thing that can compare is hearing diesel turbos
Just bought a 2017 last week. I love this thing. Your video helped convince me brotha
Awesome man. Congrats on the truck 💪🏾💯
Good video. I have a 2017 F-150 with 6 speed and 5.0l. Running perfect.
2017 f150 king ranch 5.0 with the 6 speed. Used for everything, ranch work as well as taking the family to church. Excellent truck
It is an excellent truck for sure!
Great video man and good info! I have a 2018 with 6 inch lift running 35s. I’ve got 99k miles on it and it’s had the rattle/knock since about 65k. Also uses about two quarts between 5k mile interval oil changes. A Ford mechanic told me the rattle is likely the lower intake manifold runners. I could fix but he says it’s not a problem if I don’t. Magnaflow exhaust helps cover up the rattle noise for sure. Cold air intake and exhaust, no program yet. Tons of power and my 10 speed has been bulletproof even when towing and beating on it.
Keep up the great videos 👍
Sound like you got a nice set up man! & appreciate it 💯
I just bought one and after watching 5 videos on it so far I think I made a great choice !
You definitely made the right choice. These are some great trucks ! Congrats as well
2015+ F150s with the 6R80 (6-Speed) Transmission have an adaptive learning system which learns driving patterns and adjusts shift points based on that. You can reset this yourself with OBD2 and free Forscan software to have it relearn shift points.
Is this possible to do on your own? Just bought a used one
I thought this was true on the 10-speed transmissions from 2018+ not on the 6-speed?
@@philwhite9279 yes
@@mannycruz216 applicable to 6r80 aswell. Did it on my 2015 and it’s been great since
got a 2017 f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost with Roush kit, it came with the 10 speed. it is amazing. Def my fav year for styling too.
Nice !! Yeah love the 15-17. 15-20 in general are my favorites
how much?
Great video man and yes agreed. I've got a 17 5.0 V8 6 speed, performance tuned WITH a pedal commander and a Roush intake....let me tell you its so satisfying to gap some of the modern muscle cars on the street and the obnoxiously lifted diesel bois
Taking them to gapple bees 💪🏾💪🏾💯
Great video bro , keep ‘em coming 💯
Appreciate you bro 💯💯
literally wanna build that truck😅🔥 too fire best on youtube
3.5 eco beast 136 gallon lariat max trailer package 2018. 140k drives like a champ change oil every 8k love it ❤
That’s Good man.
Love the shirt brother! Be blessed and keep up the good videos
Appreciate it bro 🙌🏾💯
I have a 2016 but in that color and I’m in love with the way it looks, seeing this video I’m about to finally color match my windows because I’ve had one fucked up for awhile lol don’t ask me why… but now I’m color matching and gettin new exhaust
Can’t go wrong with color matching
Bro I needed this thank youuuuuuuu!!!
No problem man! Glad this video could help!
I drive the 10 speed at work and really love it honestly. Now the oil consumption is some different but true too. I’m just looking to upgrade to a pickup and was looking at the Chevy/gmc 1500 but idk cause of the D.O.D they have and just researching up on these too.
Yeah the 10 speed is nice. I sometimes wish u had a 10 speed. But i enjoy the 6 speed.
Blowing up soon! Keep dropping 🔥 fam🤍
Appreciate you bro 💯🙏🏾
Definitely subscribing to your channel. Keep the content coming!
Appreciate it brother ! New content on the way! 💯💯
I been following you for a while and your truck is sick!!!!!😎💪🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
Appreciate you bro 💯💯
I bought a 2012 w/ 130K 5.0, 6 speed and I get 18+ w/o towing. Everything still working great and the only issue after 5k more miles (towing heavy load across country) was a small oil pan leak at the rear corner. I replaced the gasket (not easy must drop front Diff and all torsion bars etc) but working great now like a new truck
That’s good man! Sound like that was a lot of work but well worth it! Gotta love the 5.0
Great video bro I just got the same truck but my dashboard different. Love the rims
Appreciate it bro 💯💪🏾
Also came to say I used to do a few extra squeezes at the gas pump to top off the tank, but I read an engineer or mechanic said you shouldn’t since it needs a little space or something like that.
Yeah I usually do maybe 1-2 extra squeezes. Normally to get it to an even number or next full dollar
🔥🔥🔥 - welcome back
Appreciate it bro 💯
Damn nice truck! What headlights did you go with? I will subscribe anyway, so maybe it’s in a previous vid, but, your truck is badass!
Appreciate it man. It’s the Alpharex pro series
I got a 2017 that is my baby it’s incredible best truck iv ever owned hands down I was a gm fan for years I found this truck and loved it and bought it I won’t look back ford 5.0 is incredible
Yea man they are awesome. I never plan to get rid of this thing. Been great got my first truck
I just got done watching someone elses youtube video saying the 2018+ 5.0 has high oil consumption issues... I might have to get a 2017
Yeah some people have fixed the issue though Ford issued a TSB for those trucks to help resolve that issue. I’ve saw some people say it worked and helped.
I have a 2016 supercrew 4x4 5.0 just about at 100,000 miles, I love it! Leveled the front, chrome deleted the exterior, Method racing 316 wheels and Yokohama Geolandar X-AT 33X12.5 tires. I clocked my MPH at 70mph at 24.8, better than my dad's 3.5 ecoboost
That’s good man! 100k they just getting a good break in ! 💪🏾
Earned a sub from me and my 2017 f150 love this truck
Appreciate the sub 💯💯
First time here, but I like the video.
Just a quick tip, don't top off that much! If you go too high, the gasoline can flow back through the evap system to the charcoal canister and flood it, which will ruin it and cause fuel and evap issues/lights.
Appreciate it that Man! Yeah somebody came in and commented that. I appreciate people making me aware of that! 💯
Was gonna say the same thing😂
thanks man
the 21+ does have more power and the newer body style looks more redefined than previous years. My annoyance with my awesome 2021 5.0 is the noisy IMRC intake runners make a lot of clacking noise around the 2500-3500 rpm (little plastic baffles inside intake that open and shut really fast though out RPM) also the direct injected injectors sound like a diesel running lol! It's normal, and mabybe how Ford was able to squeeze 400hp out the little yote engine. Great Review!
That’s awesome to hear from someone perspective with a 21. The body style and front end of the 21+ have been growing on me. At first I didn’t like it but now I do. Thanks for the input 💯
2019 ...they came out with mustang cams that year💪
I couldn’t agree more! The 15-17 5.0 is the way to go!
Yesssirr 💯
I have a 2014 f150 and I love it. No real trouble I just keep the oil change and regular maintenance. But alot of the new trucks are mostly eco boost v6 😓.
Yeah a lot of ‘em are eco boost these days. Seem like they are pushing it more and more
I had a 2015 F150 4x4 5.0 with no issues at all Sold it it with 198k. I then bought a 2019 F150 4x4 5.0 10R80 and issues after issues. Burning oil, clunky transmission etc. So I went back to a 2017.
Dang man. Yeah a lot of folks say the 10 speeds of 18-22 models are very clunky
Love the video
Appreciate it 🙏🏾
I really like your truck, bro! Looks beautiful! Are you riding on Kings? I ordered my truck in January 2016; a F 150 regular cab XLT loaded with 5.0 and FX4. It only has 12,700 miles on it. A heart attack, etc kept it in the garage! I’m going to upgrade to Kings or Fox in the near future. LORD willing.
Thanks man. But no I’m on a FTS lift. I wish I was riding in king shocks though lol. Heard they are great and smooth. Same as fox. I’m planning to order some fox rear shocks though
tnx for the vid nice truck
Appreciate it man
I have a 2015 5.0 and has no issues so far. Cold air intake, Magnaflow cat back exhaust & bully dog tune.
However, I’ve lost two miles to a gallon with 33” Nitto ridge grapplers.
Don’t mind & I won’t get stuck!
Nice ! I had Magnaflow but I sold it. Smiles per gallon more important than miles per gallon anyway lol
Nice truck, can't wait to get mine! Lol
Appreciate it & good luck in your search ! 💯
The problem I ran into with my 2017 150 is the rockers have oxidized pretty bad. The truck came from Canada and now is w me in Michigan. It’s just a little harder to fix aluminum then to weld rust on a steel body.
Dang that tough. When I was in search of a truck. I wanted to stay clear of truck that was up north because of rust issues. But I know you’re in the north so that would be kind of hard for you, as I am in the south.
My 2017 5.0 had a bad engine stutter when driven at a consistent speed. Not till around 70,000 miles. Just got an 18 10 speed. No problems yet. Fingers crossed
I have a 2017 f150 king ranch with the 5.0 and have had 0 problems on almost 2 years. Just regular maintenance. I will day yes, gas is definitely a con, but i can live with that because of all the positives.
Same man. I live with the gas thing. It’s such a good truck
@@TFBJFord I came from sports cars to this. I didn't think I was going to love it as much as I do now, but I live in a area that floods pretty bad and needed something that could get me out of here lol. I couldn't be happier honestly
Great video! I traded my 2015 for a 2020 Platinum 5.0 4X4 in 2021. Thinking this would be my forever truck, I'm hating it! Valve knock, jerky transmission, clunking and whining from the drive train... still under warranty and has been in the shop 4 times. I miss my 2015 5.0, zero issues. 😢
😢
Dang man that suck! That’s a fear of mine but i don’t plan to get rid of it since I haven’t had many issues.
@TFBJFord yeah trying to decide if I'm going to keep or trade. Haven't done any modifications to it yet because of just the frustration of these problems. Just found your channel, great content!
@@SkaggsGarage Well it is a good thing you haven't put any mods into it yet to kind of help with that decision. I can't imagine how frustrating it has been. & Appreciate it man!
This just solidified my decision to keep my 2015 XLT 5.0 4X4. Bought in new and just hit 112k Miles. I’ve had zero issues over the years with the correct maintenance I’ve done. I fish and camp out of my ARE camper and it’s never left me stranded. The newer F150s look great with added bells and whistles I’m just having a difficult time justifying trading in my paid off gem. Cheers from TX
Hey brotha great video man can u tell me more about ur exaust I know u said it's the borla atak in ther what I'm wondering is did u take the cat out? Or did u do anything else it sounds much louder then What I've heard in other videos...do u just have the brola atak cat back with ur catalytic still in? Or is it taken out? Thanks alot man!
What’s up man. So yeah it’s the Borla Atak full exhaust, but I took out the stock y pipe and added the spd catted y pipe. So my stock cats are gone. But I technically still have cats. Just not stock
This makes me want a 2017 now, badass looking truck
Lol appreciate it man
Ive always heard the end of an old technology is better than the beginning of a new. My '16 just turned 60k miles, I did have to replace the engine at 47k miles due to oil consumption but that was done under warranty. I replace the oil religiously between 4-5k miles, trans fluid and filter I have done at 30k then again at 60k. Basically following what Fordtechmakuloco says to do. Mine is the Supercrew with the 6.5' bed, it it has a longer wheelbase by 12 inches than most trucks, but Ford also uses a thicker frame so my cargo capacity is 1881lbs. But the length makes the turning radius so bad.
Cool man. That oil consumption problem is crazy.
In case anyone is interested, I just test drove a 2017 3.5L naturally aspirated (non-turbo) base engine in a crew cab. It was definitely underpowered. I thought it would be fine looking at the weight-to-hp ratio, which is about as good as a lot of 4Runners, but it’s a dog and the 4Runners are not at all. Must be the low torque rating. I definitely wouldn’t get one, and I’d be mostly commuting with some light duty homeowner type work here and there.
Dang that’s really interesting! I did not know they made the 3.5 without the turbo
I have the same engine in my 2016 F150 SuperCrew and the 6 speed automatic… it has plenty of get up and go! Not sure if there was a difference with the 2017. Bought mine new and at 70,000 miles now and love it . This V6 is also referred to as flex fuel….
I’ve got a 2016 5.0 supercab with the 6 speed and I’ve only had it for 3 months but I absolutely love it so far, gets better mileage than my 04 5.4 and it feels quicker as well
That’s awesome bro 💯 gotta love the 5.0s
I came from a 5.4 too. Now have a 17 5.0. My God! These 5.0s are fast!
Only 2017s with 10 Speeds are 3.5 EcoBoost. I want the 10 Speed so I'm in looking @ the 18-20 range. If I got a 17 it would have to be 3.73 geared
I have a '17 F150 supercab w/5.0. Never had such a great truck. Had a radiator hose leak which I replaced with mishimoto kit. As much as 24mpg! Coyote engine is #1.
That’s a fact my man! 24mpg I wish I could see that! Lol
I was all 5.0, no way I would buy the EcoBoost but then I just got over it & said I would buy the 3.5 because its faster and we like to run em in Mississippi. BUT THEN! I messed around and heard the Borla Atak on a 5.0 & shoot boy, I got to have a 5.0 now. Get a 5 star tune, ATAK, leveled on 33s and I'm still gonna be runnin while sounding amazing..
Yeah man that Borla atak screams every time you step on it ! Good tune on a 5.0 can go along way!!
Before i bought My 2015 I searched everywhere and could not Find the 3.5 with 100,000 miles without Problems ,Plenty of 5.0 's with 300,000 Miles ? The coke can sized Turbo is not going to last, It is like you have Two Oxen Pulling a plow one dies You use one will not last Lots of Problems .
@@gentrydebbie10402.7 has none of the issues of the 3.5. most underrated engine in trucks

A few months ago I found a gold nugget. An older man passed and I bought his 2015 f150 king ranch 5.0 with 17k miles. I sold my GMC. I’ve always loved GM. But I’m pretty well sold on ford. I’m not too fond on the way it tows. Mainly because of the way it likes to transmission brake and when it down shifts from 5th to 4th it shifts hard AF. But I love the truck otherwise.
That’s awesome man! Good low mile truck you got! Yeah my down shift is a little hard too but thats because it’s tuned. Before it was tuned I didn’t have that issue.
nice truck man. I just picked up a 2021 5.0. I want to do a 6 inch lift with 35s, but I dont want to kill the ride quality. decisions decisions.
Just do away with factory strut and get d move coilover suspension and should be fine. Bds a good one to go with. Always here the ride quality is close to stock
Had a 2014 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi in it. Sold it and bought a 17 F150 with the ecoboost 2.7. Love it and the gas mileage is great with 33s. Its at 110K miles and still running strong.
That’s good man! Love these f150 💯💪🏾
I have the same year just curios I get 17 mpg on highway and 14 in the city. What do you get
@@Mason-kern I’m averaging 16.5 mpg
I have 33s on mine as well but the best I've ever gotten was 23-24. Usually it's around 19. Ain't much eco in my boost. Don't know why
I’ve been looking for some 2018 and up for the 10speed with the 5.0 to build some power
Yeah man the 10 speeds are good once you can get the clunkiness of gear changing out with a good tune.
18-20 has higher compression too not just trans
Got a 2016 f150 lariat 4x4 coyote with 122k and drives like new, no problem except the heater core hose leaked at one point.
That’s not bad at all!
Are you running 5w20 or 5w30 oil?
regarding 10 speed. Pro: The best for applying power when giving it the beans and saves fuel.. The Con: tends to hunt for gears when idling through 35mph main street down town. The pro outweighs the con. I cant imagine ford ever returning to a transmission with less gearing.
Yeah I highly doubt they would return to the 6 speed. I would love to have a 10 speed though.
Got 2013 v8 coyote awsome
Awesome man!
2019 her with 53k miles raced a bit as well so it ain’t babied and the more I mod it the less oil it consumes also 5w50 helps witch is what they put when you have a supercharger
yeah I have read online people say they went with a higher grade oil and that helped a lot
I have a 2015 with the 5.0 and 6speed love it, but just dont have the better infotainment setup which I wish I had.
Which trim level you have ?
Thinking bout getting one of these, as my Ford Edge is on its way out i am just curious what trim level you think would be best as I am spoiled by the luxury of my limited trim but still need the ruggedness of my former jobs truck (2012 F150 XL)
Any advice is appreciated thanks in advance 🙏🏽
I would say a Lariat. Some XLTs have almost everything a lariat would have. If you want to go up I would go King Ranch. The truck in the video is a lariat though. I love it.
@@TFBJFord Thank you im going to look into both and see what's the word 💯
2018 f150 xlt super crew 6.5 bed 5.0 v8 and she’s solid and sounds amazing
awesome man! cant beat the sound of the 5.0
So far so good? Thinking of picking up a 2018 5.0 with 62,000 miles f150 lariat. Was worried about the higher milage
Everything has been great so far just took on a 3000 mile trip , oil change and new spark plugs and all 10 gears shift smooth
Also replaced the windshield wiper as they wouldn’t turn off but that was a $50 repair I did myself
@@taylord9772 I picked up my 17 with 63k miles. That’s not high mileage at all on these trucks.
Hey man since it seems like yk a lot I’m looking at a single cab LB 2018 with a 5.0 it’s got about 130k miles it’s got all the extras in the interior except the calc radio for about $14k is that good ?
What’s up man. I’m no different from you my guy. Tryna figure it all out. I would suggest looking up the cars value to see if it’s really worth it or not.
2015 fl150 5.0 xtr (4x4) 149000 bone stock runs and drives amazing. 532 miles per tank!!

I’m on the fence about trading my Accord on a truck, but these truck prices are out of hand.

How do you like the Borla ATAK? I’m considering it because I want it to be decently loud and enjoy the 5.0 sound but I’m worried about it being too loud to the point it’s a little obnoxious especially inside the cabin? What’s your opinion.
It’s not obnoxiously loud inside until you step on it. Idle is mild. Cruising is the same
My 2014 is pretty good aswell its just steel so its a bit slower and can rust easier probably would only upgrade to a 2017 for that aluminum body
Nicee!
which trim of this truck have you got? I just think about King Ranch or Platium but I don't know.
I have lariat
So the with the lariat trim, you get the digital dash on the truck?
Yeah
Water pumps and plastic parts/seals on cooling system (y pipe and hoses) are my biggest complaints.
Yeah I hate the plastic parts they have on these nice trucks. Wish they didn’t cheap out and do it on some parts. I got an issue right now with my sunroof because of plastic parts.
I found a 2016 with the 5.0 & 4wd. Has 189690 miles. I test drove the truck, and it ran amazing. The interior/exterior no flaws. Price is right, wont be and everyday driver as i have 2 other vehicles. Should i purchase?
Just getting around to this. Did you purchase ?
only thing for me is on my 2016, I have that coyote tick from the bottom end between cold and warmed up around 1300-2600 rpm. Never caused any issues tho
Awesome man
Aluminum body is not as strong as Steel if you are off roading or pulling trailers down dirt roads might not last as long. Nice street truck👍
& of course not. Good quality though. & Appreciate it.
Geeze that's a loud truck..I'm sure your neighbors really appreciate it when you start it up in the morning...or anytime for that matter.
Lol for sure.
I bought a use 2017 f150 whit 94.000 milles and yes need to replace those orings my coolant is leaking. Is a really small leak but it make me refill the coolant every 4 monts. 8:15
Awesome man I’ve only had to do the coolant leak once thankfully
I’m looking for a 2016 or 2017 5.0 supercrew but concerned about the oil consumption issues or the vct solenoid cam phaser issues in these motors anybody have any issues with this?
I haven’t. 2015-2017 didn’t have oil consumption issues. The 2018-2020 did and some of the 21-22 from what I’ve heard. But mainly 18-20
I'd love to know what you are running for a rear gear. I want a 3.73
3.55.
420 miles to E. Let’s go 🤙🏼
🙌🏾 yesssiir!! 💪🏾
The lift is killing your mpg more than the exhaust. Sexy truck thoooo. I'm just short so I could never throw on a lift😂
😂 yeah it is. As well as running e85. But it’s all good. Gotta pay to play lol.
Nice truck, but I'd dump those tires, your needlessly accelerating brake, steering & suspension component wear, throw on something more conservative, but nice. It will ride & handle better, not to mention increased mpg, you'll be glad you did.
appreciate it man, 💯 but I am pretty satisfied with what I have. Really have not had any issues with this set up. Been on 3 years now
@TFBJFord Glad to hear your pumped. Looking at the same truck, yr & specs vs Tundra. Have a 5k Ln boat to tow to a seasonal slip once a yr. Deciding if the Tundra heft & towing stability worth the poor mpg vs the slightly less expensive lighter better riding F150? Tuff call, the towing weight we'll within the Ford.
2015 5.0 xlt just hit 100k earlier this month just one water pump change.
Awesome man! 💯
Just got a 2016 ford f150 xlt any recommendations on best way to go about the exhaust I’ve seen a lot of people say to keep it stock but I like it loud?
Borla attack is what most put on their 5.0 F-150
@@davegordon6943 It’s a 3.5 ecoboost
@@yfnyok3r gotcha. I have the 2.7 and it sounds like shit. Fast as hell though. Borla attack is good for ecoboost too. Obviously won't sound as good as a v-8 but sounds pretty good and loud
if it is ecoboost, in my personally opinion keep it stock and just delete resonators, but kickinitwithq have a 3.5 with AWE exhaust system check out some of his videos.
@@TFBJFord yeah I like his sound. I have a 2015 so I can get great turbo whistle. Later models don't do that
You got the little rear axle
My 2015 5.0, 6 spd. gets 16 plus mpg. Shows nearly 700 miles to empty on full tank. The computer says it gets over 17; not true. If it says 15.5 gallons used it takes probably 17 to fill it.. it’s been a good truck knock on wood. Cylinder head temperature sensor went bad sent truck into limp mode. Only about $12 dollar part. It left me on the side of the road until I cleared the code. Then ran like nothing ever happened. I changed the part the next day. A pain to get to but $12.
Yeah I wish mine still showed 700 miles to empty. It did when I was stock but haven’t since I lifted it. Close I’ve gotten was about 550 on premium fuel
I have the 2015 F-150 King Ranch 5.0 and people are really surprised at how much power I can get out of it. Almost 400 horsepower. Enough for me. For now.
I like the for now touch lol. But yeah it definitely surprised me when I first bought the truck. Imagine the power you can get once you really start modding it 😅😮💨
Get mud guards on that truck. Your the reason I have a cracked windshield lol
🤣🤣🤣 daaamn
The original 5.0 had a valve tick. V8's are always gonna be worse on fuel but I have not heard a V6 sound like a V8. Maybe I'm wrong with the 3.5 TT, but I imagine a 2.7 eco boost can't sound that throaty.
Yeah they are worse on fuel. You’re right a v6 will never sound like a v8. The twin turbos are nice though
One thing about the 2015 2.7 is you can get good turbo whistle. They did something after that so you don't get any whistle.
the 3.5 tt had the 10 speed and the 17 had the sec gen 3.5 tt however the 17 is the best it has the adj mood lighting sec gen 3.5
Yeah I love the adju mood lighting
I had a 2015 with the v8 and 6 speed. Got a 2022 now with the v8
Gotta love the 5.0. Very good engine !
I let me 17 sit for 3 weeks. Started it once or twice just to let it run for a bit. Woke up to go to work and it didn’t start. Jumped it and it started took it to a mechanic and after 3 days of test he said he had no idea what was wrong.
Probably just mad cause you haven’t driven it in 3 weeks. 🤣 but nah you still having issues with it ?
@@TFBJFord maybe 😆 I’m starting to think a two year old battery might be why
what do yu think bout 2021 and above 2.7 ecoboost f-150?
I haven’t did too much research on the 2.7 tbh
Pretty sure from a tuning and power aspect the 18+ coyote 5.0 is what you want in the truck. The 15-17 5.0 in the trucks have different cams and heads from the mustangs of the same years so not as good for making power. Clean truck btw!
Appreciate it man! Yeah tuning wise I could see that because of the 10 speed. I can’t imagine the power it put out on a good tune!
Yes but also keep in mind 18+ also got the new 10 speed and they are not particularly reliable as the 15’-17’ 6 speed…. Just my 2 cents… had an 18’ with the 10 speed and had to be rebuilt ar 86k miles 👎 serviced regularly btw … id stick with the 15-17
@@alansanchez-cp5lx I agree it's not as solid as the 6 speed. There is a ton of guy's in the mustang world running big power through them. So I don't think the problems are as widespread as you think.
@@alansanchez-cp5lxagreed....I have a 2017 5.0 4x4 Lariat with a few tricks installed......monster. few buddies of mine have ecoboost and are regretting it...2018+...... plus you can't replace the sound of a screaming 5.0 with a Borla ATAK exhaust
The thing is the 5.0 with 6 speed tyranny is the most reliable combo in many people's opinion.
If you’re all-the-time romping on it, obviously, but I’m gonna guess that it was the lift kit & wheels & tires that really cut the mileage.
yeah it is the wheels and tires that cut mileage as well as me switching to E85
💯
What brand and tune do you use or recommend
I’m using 5star but I’ve heard great thing about OzTuning. I heard They are great with 5.0s
