    I am on a “diet break” right now in order to reset my metabolism and hormones. (I wasn’t on a special diet , but I was on a deficit for 6 months) My 3rd week just ended, and I lost 3 lbs this week. I wasn’t even tracking. I was super shocked!

    5 lbs in a week seems like a lot, in class my teacher taught only 1-2 lbs or so a week

      She just said it’s most likely 3 pounds of water since she was eating out a lot prior to this 1 week challenge. So she figured she mostly likely lost 1-2pds if not 1 since she is real fit already & knows it’s the water weight she lost.

    The reason you lost that weight is due to pretty much cutting out all complex carbs. It's mostly water weight so will come straight back on as soon as you eat more carbs. It's great for a kick start and for the nutrients but as a qualified nutritionist I wouldn't recommend this diet and if you do then for no more than a week and be prepared to put most back on the following week. It would be useful for people if you do a video on introducing carbs back in. My worry with a diet like this is that its showing carbs as a bad food source and when people eat them again after the first week and put weight on they will then cut them back out again permenately. Remember carbs hold upto 3g's of water per 1g of carbs stored in the body and you need them for energy and building lean muscle. 💪😊

      Katie katiefitbrit Thank you for saying this because as a 44 year old woman who been in this game for a minute, what you are saying is ABSOLUTELY true. It is a short term optical illusion to see that scale drop so quickly from complex carb reduction which causes water weight loss. Nothing wrong with this approach if you need it every blue moon (like I sometimes do for a few days after my cycle ends), but not sustainable by a long shot. Not. At. ALL.

    Hi, apple cider vinegar is really hard on your teeth, you may want to switch to capsules. 1 tablespoon is more than enough mixed in a glass of water for your viewers.

      The straw helps negate teeth damage almost completely as long as you sip it straight down and not into your mouth and then swallow.

      Hi Sydney, I would suggest watching the video first ;) Since it was only posted a minute ago, I'm sure you haven't been able to yet. Also, more than 3 pounds a month is definitely not unhealthy. Healthy weight loss is 1-3 pounds per week on average.

      Totally understand, I just wanted to ask before I watched so I didn’t accidentally expose myself to anything more related to anorexia than healthy weight loss since I recently got over an eating disorder. Thanks for clearing everything up!

    In other videos you said that a pound is a pound, and that muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat... but here you say that you might go up in weight when you do more weight training initially? Can you please explain this part?

    I really don’t think you should drink most of your meals. Your body needs the physical movement of chewing. It’s actually proven.

    Love this! Definitely just bought the slim down plan. I need a reset for my PCOS and getting back on track with eating more veggies, and getting off dairy and gluten. Please do more what you eat in a week :) I really like seeing all of your yummy food!

    So- I have to ask: did you feel like you gained the weight back after? It seems like daily calories were reduced. Hashi runs in my family and I am finally feeling the effects at 35 (slowed metabolism -more than usual, weight gain and difficulty losing, reduced energy) curious if something like this could help me but I am wondering if I will just gain it all back. I have removed gluten bc it tends to be triggering for thyroid issues.

    I don’t have a thyroid due to past cancer but if your having bowel movement problems your likely low on magnesium add it daily

    I love and admire everything about you! I know that you know your body and you know what you're doing, but I noticed in a few videos now that your lips are super dry, are you getting enough water? I know that when I wasn't, that was one of my tell tale signs. I started drinking a bit above the recommended amount for the last 4 months or so and my lips haven't been dry once. Just a concerned virtual "friend" making sure that you're doing well. Keep being your beautiful uplifting self

    I need to get a healthy relationship with food I watch these videos and yea I loose the weight but I loose more than I should I just don’t know how to control food so when I decide to start exercising I sorta starve myself😕

      Sometimes when you work out, eating a big meal may seem like you're going backwards, however, when you're working your body hard, your body needs those nutrients of a good, healthy meal! Don't be afraid to eat a lot of grains, protein, veggies after your workout :) xoxo

    I’ve always heard that caffeine is VERY bad for your thyroid! Also, make sure the milk you use doesn’t have carrageenan in it. That’s a known stomach irritant.

    If you have hypothyroidism you should avoid butter, anything that says MILK on it or contains milk, eggs, and fish
