I installed the Dean Speed on my 22 Super Chief Limited. I like the sound in general when I'm cruising down the road but I'm growing tired of the popping on decel. Riding it around town today in traffic was real annoying. I've checked and everything is tight, been in touch with Dean Speed as well. I think I may go Indian Stage 2 or try something else.

you need to get it tuned, your engine is running rich if you are getting decel pops

Sounds amazing!! How do you like it 6 months later! Is it obnoxiously loud like V&H or more tolerable and enjoyable.. Im convinced this is the exaust im getting for my scout rogue

Congrats on the Scout Rogue! That's a beautiful bike. I still love this exhaust. I'd say they are right on the edge of being obnoxious. If I'm riding without ear plugs (which I do far too often), they sometimes hurt my ears under hard acceleration. Sometimes, depending on (I'm guessing) the humidity - and probably the position of Jupiter - they just randomly hurt my ears at highway speed, but they are generally tolerable. That said, the sound is still amazing and unique. Definitely get the quiet baffles! I don't want to think about how much it would hurt without them. Mine have held up well, and Dean Speed has further improved the finish lately.

@@urbanmoto-james9854 Thank You for the response. When you mentioned they sometimes hurt your ears under hard acceleration, was that with the quiet baffles on? Sometimes the video doesnt do it justice but would you say the quiet baffles actually help make it a bit more quiet or is that not the case.

@@Stallion3863 Yes. That's WITH the baffles. In my opinion, they are firmly on the obnoxious side without them. Not an issue under regular acceleration, but sometimes when I get a little sporty with the throttle, the Rampage lets me know about it.

Great video! Just picked up a 2022 bobber, and looking for medium loud slip ons with a low rumble. Could you please let me know if these would be too loud for neighbors at 5:30am? Can’t seem to find slip-on pipes that people think are obnoxious. Let me know. Thanks!

They definitely CAN be obnoxious. If you get the quiet baffles (get the baffles!) and take it easy on the throttle in the neighborhood, it's just a nasty, deep snarl. I've taken mine out pretty early in the morning, and it's not too bad. Now, if you goose the throttle as you leave the driveway, your neighbors may sharpen their pitchforks.
