Finally got the chance to install these on my '23 Chief Dark Horse. Not only do they look great, but they also sound MEAN. Absolutely love them. Load but not so much that I am annoying. I installed them with the baffles but already took the baffles out 😎and the installation is super simple. Fantastic product @DeanSpeedCustoms!
Just got these on the bike today and absolutely love them!! They sound great with or without the baffles. I'm leaving mine in though since I leave for work at 5am most days and don't want my neighbors cutting my brake lines lol. I've got several accessories from you guys and they're all solid parts. Great work.
They sound great either way, I currently have both baffles installed ..what if you use just one baffle? make it interesting... I'm going to try this out for a few days and see what it's like. had done this on the scout sixty with the V&H oval 4" ones and it sounded just right.
Not Sure Nut I would think that would offset Backend Exhaust Pressure from one of the Cylinder's? Only way to Find out would be to Dyno it. Baffles do affect Exhaust Back pressure and HP slightly Dyno Charts have Proved this Hundreds of times. Just like a Stock Filter to a K&N Intake or Release pressure it all makes a difference in the End. That's why some exhaust on the exact same bike can make different HP Gains.

Are these pipes good for long run? Will it ruin the engine or affects any parts of the motorcycle. Because im buying a Chief bobber by the end of this winter and im buying this motorcycle to keep it to myself. Means I'm not gonna update or sale this motorcycle. So please be honest. I really liked your slip on.
Hello. These mufflers, on the new Chief's factory headpipe, have less affect overall than most slip ons on other bikes. This is because the factory head pipes have the catalytic converter built into them. This not only helps regulate sound and emissions, but also helps equalize the exhaust output. You can install these mufflers without having to flash the ecu or tune the air/fuel mixture. If you implement other performance mods, such as an air cleaner, then you will want to atleast flash the ECU.
Standing too far away and mic not pointing 45 degrees....so hard to tell. If you were 2 to 3 feet away we get a better idea of db levels as checked by the cops in many countries.

We measured about 6ft (~ 2 meters) away at a 45 deg. We went of California standards which are the most strict in the US.
