My brother worked at Rancho Neuvo one summer with sea turtles. My family and his girl friend at the time (now wife) got to go too. We watched baby sea turtles being released out in the wild. Awesome Dr. Chris got to help with the release.

Starting to live with a pet has the effect of improving the owner's physical health. As a typical example, if walking the dog every day becomes a habit, it will help the owner walk and get rid of the lack of exercise. Also, going outside to walk the dog activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps you relax and have a good day. Furthermore, when you have a pet, not only taking walks but also basic care such as feeding and playing with your pet becomes a habit, which stabilizes the owner's life cycle and is effective in improving a lifestyle that tends to be disordered. It is also thought that keeping pets has the effect of lowering blood cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure.😍😍😍😍😚😚😚😙😙😙😙

@@Michellefkok You can always get a pet you aren’t allergic to. Allergic to dogs and cats? There’s always birds, hamsters, fish (contrary to popular belief, some species do bond with and react to their owners), hairless cats, and many more

Doesn't that tracker and aerial mean that plastic bags, fishing line and seaweed will have a bigger chance of snagging him? I mean, I'm no expert but I've seen many seabirds, swans etc with protruding body parts tangled up in fishing line.

I would certainly think so but the data gained is probably worth the risk idk for sure. Plus they said its not permanent and is supposed to fall off after a year so hopfully they can avoid trouble for that long.

what I don't understand is that - at a sea turtle rescue - they cant let turtles back into the wild because their shell pyramided. A deformed shell keeps them from being released. How is it that they can super glue a huge tracker on these turtles and release them?

Isn't there an issue with CB's tracker that may possibly endanger him? For instance: The tracker accidently or inadvertently getting lodged into a rock, crevice, or other circumstance that may hinder his mobility?

      All about risk/reward.
Sure, there is a chance it will get caught (just like the risk of getting eaten or dying of disease.
On the flip side, the data gained is valuable in helping save hundreds - thousands of turtles.
