your videos make my heart smile. i have been holding myself back from art for so long. lightfastness stuff, or im not good enough, or i am not qualified to express myself the way i want. but i watch your stuff and i say. i want to be like her. so free and making such lovely things. I typically don't get invested into the art videos with just music and no voice. but your videos captivate me. its like we dont need your voice to hear you. And you happen (at least to my ears) to have a good taste in instrumental music. you make me want to try to be creative again.
thank you so much for everything you do; im a dedicated art student and when i find myself struggling to feel motivated, i always come to your videos. Your work is absolutely beautiful please never stop.
I discovered this channel today when I was looking at an intro to oil pastels and wow! I like not only your art but the way your videos are edited and made. Thank you for sharing and teaching and spreading art!
At first I thought you were going to make two versions of the same painting, using different materials, then I was surprised that you used oil pastel over the oil, I always imagined it would be better to do the opposite, doing the details with the paint brush. But anyway, I wanted to say that your videos inspire me a lot! I bought my first box of oil pastels and I can't wait to improve my skills (and to have such a beautiful place to live and paint, like you have!), a big hug, directly from Brazil
God your work is so amazingly breathtaking and awe inspiring. Thank you for sharing and expressing your love of and through art to the world. I must know, how would you go about varnishing this mixed media piece? Would you spray it with a fixative? Or could you use a liquid varnish like gamvar gloss? Thank you!! ❤
Thank you so much😊✨i totally forgot about varnishing this one, I think I'm gonna go with spray fixative for now! And then when oil pastels are completely dry I can hopefully use a liquid varnish🤞
I had a question. On your materials and technique videos you mentioned you used linseed oil for thinning the pastels. How does the pastels thinned with the oil compare to those not thinned? Considering oil pastels are made with non-drying oil i was wondering if youd found there was a point that the drying oil overtook the non-drying and created a different sheen to the standard oil pastel, or if it actually dried down a bit as opposed to remaining smudgeable
Hi Misako, I'm one of your subscribers. It's always great to watch your videos. Have a quick question. Is it ok to mix linseed oil and oil pastels to give a oil painting like look or do I buy oil paints separately ? I'm a beginner to oil pastels so asked
You know you changed my perspective on oil pastels completely and i thank you so much for that. You are what i aspire to be . Quick question: do you use oil pastels or soft pastels Again love your art.
I always get inspired to work on my own drawings and paintings when I watch your videos! Thank you so much for making them!

Again love your art.
thank you! I use oil pastels☺️(Sennelier, Mungyo, Paul Rubens)
Do you have to let the oil paint dry before you start the oil pastels?
Hi Misako, I would like to ask u that after u finished this oil × oil pastels painting, did U use varnish for painting??
Do you paint oil pastels over oils?
Thank you for sharing. How long did you wait for the oil paint to dry before using the oil pastels?
I mixed Gamblin Solvent-Free Fluid to speed up drying time & wainted about a week before using oil pastels👍
@@MisakoFlodinthank you for sharing. Your videos have inspired me to try oil pastels which I had never considered before as a possible medium.
What is the paper brand's name?
Hi! Why did you decide to add pastels on top of oils? Was it for the texture looking? Thank you!
yes! I wanted to incorporate the texture of oil pastels to the painting☺️✨
@@MisakoFlodin That's nice! 🙂 I often feel the urge to do the same with colored pencils on top of my gouache and watercolor paintings.
