I've always avoided using my oil pastels, afraid that if I mess up I'll just waste them. But seeing how you made such a beautiful masterpiece with them has given me the courage to try and make something! It might not be as gorgeous as yours but it's a start, thank you for the motivation :D
The idea that not trying something ruins it just as much is what has caused me to try new things more :) I thought I’d ruin my canvases by painting on them, but not using them is keeping them from their purpose!
i like that u include how many days it took u to finish the piece. reminds me that i dont always have to be in hurry when making art 😅 i really like ur works btw, the colors are so pretty 😍
That looks absolutely stunning. Love that you show us across several days how you complete this. I always struggle to spend whole days on pieces. I wonder if you could put a shiny gold on the edges / sides of the timber? Kinda like gold leaf / gold frame.
Gold leaf on the edges would look stunning! I never thought of that but it's a great idea. Probably should have been done before she started the painting though, since oil pastels stay kind of sticky (especially the Sennelier ones) and I don't see a way of applying gold leaf that won't end in flecks of gold getting stuck to the painting. 😂 Unless the fixative she used completely seals the surface.
This was so helpful to watch. I always see really sped up oil pastel videos so when I’m doing oil pastel drawings I’m instinctively going really fast and it always gets messed up. Seeing this has reminded me to take it slow and concentrate on the journey and not just the big picture ❤️
I am experimenting with wood panels and oil pastels myself. I very much enjoyed watching your painting of the eyes come to life. Questions: why did you not gesso the panel first? Also, what brand of linseed oil do you like best? Thankyou.
Glas you enjoyed my video! I did 3 gesso coats before applying any oil pastels, I'll include some prepping process next time! And I used Pebeo’s Refine linseed oil✨
I am a Korean who came to see your picture through the RUclips algorithm. It might sound weird using a translator. Your picture is very beautiful and pretty, so I left a comment like this. The eyebrow expression of the character is really good. I've never seen anyone who uses oil pastels so well today. I fell in love with your painting and it is very beautiful. The person in your painting has a very soft atmosphere. I will cheer for your drawings and moves from now on. Thank you for drawing this.
I was today years old when i discovered how oil pastels can actually be used. I only tried them in childhood, avoided them, going only for dry pastels instead, and never saw any tutorials or videos with them so i never though about how they are used and what beaty they can make. Now i really wanna try them, as if for the fisrt time.
that looks so beautiful 🥺 it kind of feels like im looking straight into the details of a master's work... your talent + hard work is just amazing and something i really look up to. i bet if they placed your art in a museum, i could recognize it because of its distinctness i really wanted to praise you for that
fantastic..I am a little fed up with pastel mat and other papers..will try usino wood once again...my only one experiment with gesso on wood and oil pastel did not seem so easy though. The surface was so smooth and slippery, so I did not like it too much...I should have tried some sabling of the surface before painting with my pastels.Congratulations on your excellent work
This looks amazing! You were a huge driving inspiration to get me into oil pastels, and I thank you greatly for that! Also, it would be cool if you did a Q&A sometime!
the colors~ wow this was so amazing to watch. your choices of color really add such a lively feeling to your work, always such a nice process to watch! not drawing along today but i am crocheting while watching and this was so nice and relaxing :)
Thanks to utube algorithm. I really love your works! Especially, the way of using all the colours🎨 drawing skill is also great. Are you self-taught? I wonder many things waching your videos. How did you improve your painting skills?
Beautiful as always. You seem to change your mind about the colour scheme. Do you choose your colours before you start or just dive in? Caran D'Ache do oil pastels I think you would enjoy them. They are in the middle of Paul Reubens and Sennelier. Kitty too cute.
Thank you so much💓 I always just dive in and decide which colour I use as I work on drawing :) I've never tried Caran D'Ache oil pastels, I should give it a try!
@@MisakoFlodin i definitely agree on trying some caran d'ache neopastels! they have some great colors and the consistency of the sticks are my absolute favorite compared to mungyo and sennelier. its just amazing. they have some great light tan/cream/grey/beige/brown tones you should check out. really gorgeous colors to work with
Thank you for sharing. This was surprisingly informative. I have some oil pastels and honestly I have been so scared to start. Little by little I will get there. 😊 and thanks to you I now know how to care for them. 🤗💕
it’s amazing how u do such a small dot for the eye highlight with the oil pastel, it looks tricky to do 🌟
I always get nervous before I add a small highlight with oil pastels! I'm so glad that I didn't mess up🤣👍

Absolute Masterclass. Your colour tone choices are excellent. Really impressive once again!
Thank you so much! 💖
You’ve single handedly made me obsessed with pastels
yay☺️

I love your videos so much, they're always so calming. The process is enjoyable to watch 💕💕
Side note: your kitten is so cute!
I'm so happy that I was able to record some clips with my kitten! these times are so precious!

Pastel on wood is the best!

Wood is such a fine canvas to work with! This looks stunning with a wide variety of color. Maybe I will start painting again on wood.

This was really nice to watch, there's not a lot of oil pastels demo's on RUclips so this was great thank you.
A beautiful painting. I love the variety of colours you chose to use. One of the best qualities of oil pastels. Your kitten is gorgeous too (-: Marion
