Hmm. For the pork cooking that exceeded recommended time - have you thawed that before cooking? Or... Silly me may suggest that you have not heated the pan enough for oil to boil - that's optimal temperature for browning, Maillard reaction? Thumbs up and thank you for your videos! edit - for pre-prepping, do they have some artichokes or celery (root celeriac) as an example? Cause these needs quite a lot of pre-prepping ;)

The website was full of pictures of the hardest things to prep but didn't do any of them haha Yes, the heat, cookware, meat temp and quality all impact how long it takes to brown or achieve a true maillard reaction. I didn't brown it for ten hours lol Just longer than what they recommend. All of these services seem to suggest somewhat lower times for things like browning than seen in typical recipes or what those of who've been cooking for years might do for our own preference. I remember one service said to cook onions for 3-5 minutes until caramelized, and the picture they showed was like a French onion soup levels of caramelization. That's not a 5 minute thing 😂. I like to think they do that to leave room for error since a lot of people using these services may not cook on their own so they want to be more conservative with some estimates. I really enjoyed the meals here and hope others try the service out!

I don't remember the review at this point, but I think they said they'd inform you if anything isn't organic, and it's mainly their produce/meat etc. It would've made sense for them to use an organic brand for any little packets they include as well, but maybe they have a deal with that company.
22:44 weird reaction from you. I can't tell if this was an individual reaction to a strong-smelling cheese, OR is it somehow old and out of date, and it's an actual quality issue. Is that possibly the way this Cuban dish should smell? Please take the time to figure this out. What seemed like a good review, now I feel like I have to re-consider. How much of the earlier "spiciness" comments do I also have to chalk up to you individual taste? Please, stick to the facts, this is supposed to be a review, not a reaction video.
Thanks for leaving a comment! I watched what you linked to since it's been too long to remember. I said it was a stinky cheese and that the smell was strong for my taste when it first hit my nose. No objectivity exists beyond that because it's food. Everyone's taste is different, so they're all individual reactions by default. If I thought there was something wrong with the cheese or anything else worth mentioning to explain my reaction, I would have. I didn't watch past that part, but I vaguely recall that being one of my favorite recipes from the review, unless I'm thinking of another one. Your reaction to someone's opinion about the food they're eating sounds like you're looking for something my channel isn't for. But there are tons of other channels you can watch. Choice is the beauty of RUclips, so I'm sure you'll find something you like!

Interesting that the first boxes daisy sour cream is not organic ? So the products I assume are not 100% Organic that's unfortunate
