    Not sure who won as they're both very capable. I have the Pro with a Fusion Pro motor, as I'm allergic to revolver motors;-) As I'm sure you're aware, the rocks change with the pollen, dust and temperatures. One day I can make every pull, the next day I can't make half of them. This was driving me crazy as I was constantly looking for the "best" tire out there, only to finally realize that mother nature was messing with me. I've found that below 60 degrees with a bit of humidity to offer the best grip on the rocks. Anytime after the rain dries up is also a great time to crawl, as the dust has been washed away. Great video and very informative.

      I agree the rocks change daily; which in this format (not 1:1) is really hard because the tires doesn't get "heat" in them like a 1:1 does. So you do really have to rely on compound or inserts or a combination of both (if that even works). Like you stated sometimes it's just mother nature, and there is really no "right" tire. I did the same search lol. Thanks for the insight and watching!! 🍻🍻

    Just a heads up. About your comment about painting. If you use a product called Bulldog on your body first any automotive paint will stick to the poly body. It opens up your options on colors.

    Both are good trucks but if you're trying to compare them maybe take the heavy wheels from one and put on both fronts then put the other set on rears to kind of match new an old tires up for more comparable setups.

      @the-ab-outdoors  Год назад +4

      i will weight both sets of wheels for part 2, and do exactly what you've requested here to keep it fair!! 🍻🍻

    If your airbrush paint is looking dusty it means your oaints drying before it hits the surfsce. Simply try a bit closer snd of course vary the smount of paint. Its relatively easy

    Coming from the smaller scale stuff, I am not a fan of servo on chassis or panhard bars. The VRD for me was more complete, nothing ill need to change when I get it (backorder). Otherwise these both seem great. I'm interested to see what other versions of the kits they come out with maybe a carbon scx10 pro and a titanium VRD.

      Up until recently servo on motor hasn't been super popular as it's less "scale". I'd be willing to bet Axial doesn't make a whole lot of changes, and just add optional upgrades, and Vanquish has already stated they've got more up their sleeve but won't state what. I will however be trying to get ahold of 2 rippers when they finally bring them to market. 🍻🍻

    I have seen alot of these vs's and 1st thing is to take out the fax machines, To shed some weight or aleast the head noise. NO but those cool but huge bodys just kill perfomance..... Do like your channel , Keep up the vids.......

      Fax machines 😂😂. They’re gone, doing esc testing now and one of the scores is noise whine level. The bodies do kill performance but they’re basically the same body so performance should’ve been killed equally 🍻🍻

    When the weights were taken of the Pro, it appears the rear tires were not on the scales all the way. Also, these scales can be deceptive. If your suspension is loaded to one side, it’ll show that side having more weight. If you were to pick up and the front end, then let it go, it would show a different weight. There is too much suspension travel which shifts the weight. I stopped using scales for crawlers. It’s too inconsistent with long travel RC suspension.
    When your tires dig into your body, it will negatively affect the truck. It will cause suspension unloading and inconsistency in the tire.
    Not trying to bash, just trying to give a little constructive criticism.

    • @the-ab-outdoors
      @the-ab-outdoors  Год назад +1

      Good catch, i actually re-weighed both trucks several times (just edited it out because that's boring) and the weight was always the same. I also line up the tires and pick the truck up and drop it back down to let the shocks settle naturally. However for part 2 i will weight the truck as a whole to validate the numbers are the same!! I agree that the body contact will negatively affect the trucks, and plan on fixing it, but since both trucks do it I didn't want to hack up the bodies completely.... yet.... I will do that for part 2.... lastly i don't think you're bashing i appreciate all feedback!!🍻🍻

    Those tires are terrible on those rocks, and your inserts look to stiff. Tusks with any 3d printed insert would be so much better. Just my 2 cents

      The noise is indeed terrible, it’s the motor whining because of the ESC. This has been fixed in future videos! 🍻🍻
