    those inserts look hard as a rock.

      The weather plays a big part in this, these are really soft 99 percent of the time, and if you watch closely you'll notice there are times where it looks like the tires is "flat" due to the insert being smashed all the way in. I've been working on several new insert designs that I hope to release very soon!! 🍻🍻

    So it seems to me that the scx10 pro bounces more for some reason. I kinda expected the scx to side hill and climb a little better than the VRD which it appears maybe it did or it was nearly the same, hard to tell from observing. The scx did seem to decent better. The biggest benefit of the VRD from what I'm seeing here is the crazy steering angle. Makes me think the scx would be better with f10 straight axles lol. I like that your bodies are all scratched up, makes it clear you drive them often 😁
    I have the VRD, I'm very happy with it.

      Yea it does a bit of bouncing for sure, the fronts have 40 weight, and the rears have 80 weight oil in them. I think the fronts need to be changed too, but it's hard right now due to the cold then hot weather of Kansas messing with me lol.
      The f10 axles are absolutely the best of the best in any type of kit/rtr!! I have actually seriously contemplated putting the plastic f10 houses on the truck... but haven't had the time to pull the trigger on it.
      I run everything I have, and hopefully when I get a ripper v2 or 2 lol I will run it too.
      I agree the vrd is an excellent choice!! 🍻🍻

    Very cool video. 😎 Can you share how you tuned your Lizards? I've all but given up on mine. 😅

      It's a course in North East KC called MCC; you can find them on Facebook, it's at a guys house named Ryan. 🍻🍻

    The scx pro seems to struggle on steep climbs that lean to the right. When you have enough grip, it likes to lift the front drivers tire and flip over on things that the VRD will make it up no problem.

    • @the-ab-outdoors
      @the-ab-outdoors  9 месяцев назад

      This is likely due to drive shaft torque, and could potentially be solved with better tuning in the shocks, or new shocks all together. Neither truck came with the best shocks in the world, but I like the scx shocks more.. 🍻🍻

      @@the-ab-outdoors no doubt there. My vrd shocks leaked a puddle onto my desk within a day of building them. I’ve built a lot of shocks, and never had that happen before.

      @@the-ab-outdoors I got my pro used in a trade, maybe they aren’t leaking because they’re already empty. I’ll need to open them up and check.

    That mixed tire set while trying to compare is a new one for sure.. don't think I've seen that yet.. looks weird just saying.

    • @the-ab-outdoors
      @the-ab-outdoors  9 месяцев назад

      Indeed it's quite strange, but kept the comparison fair. 🍻🍻

    • @ShoddyRC

      That was a really good idea! It’s better than buying two sets of matching tires for one video.

    I think it’s better when you take your time, crawling and go slow and instead of just slamming it through if you can’t make it in a slow crawl, then you can’t make it

    • @the-ab-outdoors
      @the-ab-outdoors  9 месяцев назад +1

      I completely agree, but this time of year, and the moisture levels on the day of the video creation didn't really allow for some of the lines to be low and slow and I didn't want to postpone the video any longer. 🍻🍻
