the house that charity shops built 🏡 my full (half-finished) flat tour ft. 4 years of diy progress

- Join me on a tour around my partly-finished, 2 bedroom Victorian flat. I've spent the last four years slowly renovating, decorating and turning this space into a dreamy little hole where I feel safe and inspired. Even though it's slightly chaotic and not quite finished, I love my home and hopefully you'll like at least some part of it too... if you do or if you don't let me know in the comments!
Featuring footage from a terrible tour I filmed in 2020, I'll be talking about the DIY progress I've made so far and the future projects you can expect to see on this channel. I'll be showing off some of my favourite secondhand trinkets along the way, chatting about interior design and generally just enjoying my home. Please like, comment and subscribe if you enjoy this, it really helps me out!

Not many people can say their mum wanted to be a clown 😊 love it ❤🎉 Beautiful home🤎💛🧡
Wow that apartment was rough! And look at it now! You have done an amazing job. I love that you know when to invest and when just to make things cuter or more interesting. Well done
I’ve just found your channel. Love your projects and style! Your DIY is motivating me. Thanks!
The sink is gorgeous . I like your eclectic arty style. The yellow/pink hall is fab.
For the entryway color I feel like something with yellow or green in it, not too saturated and something quite light, would really reflect and amplify the great light that it’s getting
Loving this channel that was in my recommendations! I do not AT ALL have the same decorating style but I love seeing creative people doing their creative stuff!
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I moved during lockdown and somehow lost my mojo. You have achieved so much, and retained the character of the flat. Standouts are the bathroom sink, kitchen and utility, smarmy lion and the stork lamp. Stealing the storage box/blackboard paint idea. Subscribed.
I love the vibe of your home.
Loved that ! and the lady on your fridge magnet is Anita Dobson she played Angie watts in EastEnders in the eighties 🙂
and another top fact is she's married to Brian May from Queen 👑
How utterly fabulous!
This is so lush!!!! We have a 1912 hot mess in the North that we are slowly but surely pouring love and colour into too. This was such a heartening watch at the end of a long day painting things a green I am no longer sure I love . Gorgeous home and cat, I hope you have much happiness p.s. 26:12 is a highlight x x
thank you for such a lovely comment! 💐I hope you woke up today with renewed confidence in the green - I always find my diy attempts look better after a night’s sleep!
Love love love soo creative ❤
okay i had to pause to comment because as soon as you went into your art room and panned around to the blanket chair, i was like. !!! i watched your art room makeover videos (and all the rest after finding your channel this morning lmao) and fell in love with the blanket chair immediately, and this video just reminded me that i wanted to ask if you would perhaps consider making a video about how you built it? it's SO good, genuinely, i'm floored (or, uh, chaired?) thank you and also your videos are superb x
Thank you! I didn’t mention the chair much in the videos because annoyingly I don’t have many video clips of the process (I made it a few years ago over a solo-lockdown Christmas period). I was very much making it up as I went along so would be quite tricky to explain fully (there’s a broom handle and a lot of old-duvet stuffing in there) - will maybe do a similar project on the channel in the future!
why not mount the coat bar onto the wall on the other side of the bannister (in the open space over the stairs) ? there is so much unused space there. it could even be on a swing arm so that you can pull it over the rail to take coats off it.
Ooh this is a good idea!
I love the yellow walls in that one room! you have lots of unique trinkets, photos and other decor ❤
Well done
Love what you have done to your place, I love it ❤
Love it 💕Your home is beautiful and see you put lots of love in it
thank you so much!! 🎀
You have done well within your budget I hope the damp issues are solved. I think if you apply kickstands to that unicycle you could potentially use it in your kitchen.
I remember those park bins so well ❤
omg haha, it was such an event in our family when we saw one!
So Brighton
I love the speaking out against genocide sign behind you 🥰
I love your style nice flat too.😊
The lady on your fridge magnet looks like Angie off EastEnders. She owned the pub
This is useful information, now I can call her by her name!
That’s defo Angie (Anita Dobson). In real life she’s married to Brian May from the band Queen.
I paused the video and just had to subscribe when you said your Mother went through a phase of wanting to be a clown 😊
Just curious did you buy the flat. I’m confused because in Australia the landlord does the renovations. What you have done is great.
Yes! I’m very lucky to have been able to buy it (even though the bank currently owns double-as-much of it than I do!)
@@beigeflannel Even so when your foot is in you will make money. Also it has so much character, love your style.
If its your style and you're happy...that's all that matters...
