As someone who recently picked up Knife making as a hobby, I can tell you that this man is genuinely skillful to be able to get such a consistent and even bevel with a grinder.
I've been watching your videos a while now & they got me on to the whole knife-making thing and I've made a few since then. I've watched plenty of other knife makers videos since. But your skills with minimal hand tools still impress the hell out of me and are by far the best.
Definitely got me inspired to make my own knife. Awesome video!
Nice to have you back! Keep building things!
Thank you for the charcoal setup. Amazing results 👍
Hey Alex, Beautiful knife. I've been binge watching your videos. I believe I can now make a knife. Your simple clear teaching and many little tips makes it all so understandable. Thanks for uploading. 61,239th subscriber.
So glad to see you back!!!!
When I first started making knives in 1992 I heat treated my O1 tool steel knives in charcoal and used a shop vac blower to increase the heat. I used canola oil too. I used a 3x21 belt sander clamped to my picnic table for a lot of my grinding and here's a tip. For grinders use the sanding discs which only go up to 120 grit and glue higher grit sandpaper to them. I used this method with sanding drums too. Use wet dry sandpaper and it lasts for a longer time.
Great video.... Love that karambit... Makes me want to start a blade... also, great to see you back...
I really enjoy the videos you make and I love how informative you are. I'm very interested in trying my hand at blade smithing and your videos are very helpful. Gives me a place to start
Hi, I love the way you don't just make a knife, you tell the story of the knife. It's what makes your vids stand out. As always, take care and stay safe.
You shouldn't play with knives. - The Punisher Great timing on that bit xD
You've convinced me to give it a shot. Great video, as always!
Ok Alex, I missed tour advices and the way you sharpen your knives. Ive being working with a small versión of a kerambit. Thanks for all the good work
I love that knife!!! I love how you do the outdoor work! That came up very nice!
Such a good video. Honestly, I love the heat-treatment instructions.
Ive been watching your videos lately and they are so informative and well done. I am amazed at how you create your own knives. I am more amazed with your patience when you embark on the tedious task of filing the hole. I couldn't do it. Treat yourself to a hole saw. You deserve it!
Vince Offer would approve !
