Danny gets well deserved hella-praise for the intricate and unique time signatures of rhythm, but you gotta tip your hat to the guitar and bass that are also insanely tight and locked into the same rhythms. The whole band is just crazy good, to anyone that knows how hard it is to do this stuff.
It never had any credibility to begin with. None of those do, whether it's for sports, music, movies or anything else. All these "accolades" that come from faceless "experts" are just absolute garbage.

Got into tool in '96, when Aenima was released. Never heard anything like it and was hooked immediately. I feel like it was the Dark Side of the Moon of the 90's. In my 40's now and still one of my favorite bands of all-time. Nobody sounds like Tool.

I think you guys have gone a long way to opening a door to people who may have not listen to Tool a lot to really give it a chance. You guys get it to the core!!!!
Saw Tool at Red Rocks in the 90s, only thing I ever experienced in my life with equal power was my wife saying "Yes" when I proposed, and the birth of my child. I swear to God, me and my bro thought the mother ship was going to land at that concert.
My mom, a huge Tool fan, referring to the "Wake up now child..." part: "Each member of the band right here sounds like they wouldn't fit together separately, but when you listen to it all together, they all go together. It's incredible." I'm paraphrasing, but that's the basic point she made.😊 Love you mom.❤

This is their Division Bell. they are tired and old. this is their art. this is their end. they have been warriors, they have blazed their trails. this is their last battle. this is their whole souls poured out before us. They dropped all their whole discography on all platforms... they have never done that... they drop their whole album on ytub for free... this is them.... this is it. There will be no Endless River.... Drink this in Boys... This is the Last TooL you will ever use. I hate to be -that- tool fan.. but... these guys know what they are doing... and.. this is them... this is THEM. This IS TooL.
It’s true though. Invincible is about Tool, and Descending says it for us. This is their swan song. Their epilogue. Danny wants to do one more, but I think they all know, and so do we.
That was very nicely written, but I'm not so sure. I remember Adam Jones AND Maynard saying in announcements that the band had something like 13/15 songs ready to go, and we only have 6 (actual) songs on this album. Tool KNOWS just how badly people have been waiting for this. I'm perfectly content with what we have here on this album, but I would not be at all surprised if out of the blue the band's just like "surprise! We've actually been working on two albums worth of material, here's the rest of it!" next year or sometime to completely catch people off guard. I'm not getting my hopes up... but I wouldn't be surprised if there was another album coming, and soon. Just saying.
I’m a Danny sycophant, but I always say…. Don’t forget about Adam’s lead. He’s floating somewhere between Jimmy Paige and Robert Fripp on this one. Tonally, he paints really pretty pictures.
SouthernBassHunter, his drum solo in Salt Lake this past October honestly was one of the greatest sonic performances that I have ever witnessed. He literally birthed us, raised us, wiped us off the face of the planet like a nuclear bomb, and rebirthed us like a Phoenix. Edit: His vision for sound is unmatched. Edit 2: After writing that, I realized that formula is pretty much what all Tool songs do 😂.
Adam did pro wrestler, Chris Jericho's podcast, and said Danny is so good all over the place, he had trouble remembering his riffs. And Adam is no joke either.
That dude refuses to admit how biased he is towards and against certain genres of music. I might trust his opinion on "pop" music, but that's about it. He's a bit soulless.

Walked into my 10 year old sons room the other day, Tool pneuma is on and he is doing some dance moves, and i never even tried or dared to get him into this music, i watched him and i cried a little. My son!
I would have cried
I cry for you. That’s wonderful
That's just a beautiful moment. Love it!
That’s like when I heard Wu-Tang coming from my 13 yr old girl’s room. I was proud as heck.
YES
Danny gets well deserved hella-praise for the intricate and unique time signatures of rhythm, but you gotta tip your hat to the guitar and bass that are also insanely tight and locked into the same rhythms. The whole band is just crazy good, to anyone that knows how hard it is to do this stuff.
From a guitarists perspective, TOOL’s entire discography is basically a D Minor Pornography. The greatest one ever made.
With some serious bits of D phrygian for some hardcore scenes, lol
Whatsit called???
Oh yeah......AIRTIGHT!!!
Sometimes some A or B Minor to spice it up.
Seriously
My passing grade thru out life.
When it looks like they are smelling old socks, thats when you know they like the song.

Stankface!
So freaking on point hahahah
I've watched this reaction 5 times. Wtf happened to my Saturday!
Stanky bass face! 🤘
As a hardcore Tool lover, this reaction made my heart flutter 😍😍😍
mine too 😍
Doesn't hurt that they're hot either!
Watched this video like 5x already
@@metalodyssey5533 thx lol 😉
Same!
If the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has _any_ credibility, which it doesn't, Tool should walk into that place YESTERDAY.
It never had any credibility to begin with. None of those do, whether it's for sports, music, movies or anything else. All these "accolades" that come from faceless "experts" are just absolute garbage.
I'm not going to be like the superfans and say this band is off the chain.
5 SECONDS LATER
GOOOODDDAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN I FEEL LIKE I'M HAVING AN AWAKENING!!!!!
I hate that I have to stay calm when talking about Tool. I don't have any friends that listen to them so I can't just sit down and listen to them with anybody
YES INDEED 😂
@@cameronreyno7175 you are not alone... one day we could make a tool day and at the same time listen to Tool.
Lol!
@@cameronreyno7175 it's okay listening to Tool alone just gives you more time to appreciate it.
7empest, Descending, Culling Voices, Invincible are must listen
My man over here neglecting Chocolate Chip Trip
Invincible tho. Now *THAT* is something.
invincible is my fave... then descending, and 7empest
The whole album is a must listen
So basically the whole album
Danny Carey is the best drummer in modern music.

Love Danny, but I gotta go with Matt Halpern.
Mark Fry damn, that might be an over statement, but he is definitely the best in his style and genre. His creativity and the way he rolls out and into certain parts of songs is undeniably epic.
Got into tool in '96, when Aenima was released. Never heard anything like it and was hooked immediately. I feel like it was the Dark Side of the Moon of the 90's. In my 40's now and still one of my favorite bands of all-time. Nobody sounds like Tool.
I like to think Tool is my generations PF. I'm too in my 40s Spiral out my friend 🤘
You are very right about Tool not sounding like another other band out there. There is only and will only be one Tool and their unique special sound.
When two guys do a 39 minute reaction video to a 13 minute song and make it enjoyable all the way, you know it's Lost In Vegas
Lost. In. Muthufuckin Vegas.
You guys need to experience Tool live! Someone get them some tickets!
Shit. Give me some tickets. They came to Louisville in May and sold out in like am hour
@@kingadalou I went to that Louisville show and it was great, we sang Danny Carey happy birthday! I got my ticket for Cincy Ohio in November
@@honeybadger3655 lucky.
@@kingadalou if you haven't seen them live you have got to get tickets and make it to a show. Being around all the other tool fans and hearing them play its something crazy
@@honeybadger3655 probably never will see them live. I had my chance in May. But sold out way to fast. Who knows.
Never in my 54 years have I ever heard an album so well engineered as Fear Inoculum. This album is on another level. Please let TOOL set the standards for all artists and let's get out of this ridiculous rut of compgen music and get back to the real deal. This is a MASTERPIECE!..
Testify!
kik Urass best production, mixing and mastering I’ve ever heard.
kik Urass I agree although I would include any Radiohead album
It really is...such high level arrangement and composition. It’s hard to separate the instruments when listening because it’s so well arranged, but I’ll keep trying. Nice comment sir👍👍
My stepdad is in your age group but I can't get him to bite! I KNOW he'll love it!
It's been about a year when I saw this and I can honestly say this reaction is aging like wine. It seriously just keeps getting better...just like Tool. The joy any true Tool fan gets by watching these two feel Tool like so many of us have for Decades is something special. I think you guys have gone a long way to opening a door to people who may have not listen to Tool a lot to really give it a chance. You guys get it to the core!!!!
As a die hard Tool fan, I freakin loved the new album!! Totally lived up to the hype, for me! I’d suggest 7empest or Invincible!
I heard three songs off the new tool album on you tube very dissapointed but hey that's only three songs to slow to long and drawn out
Agree 100% 🤟🏻
dana ranstrom Have you ever listened to Tool before?
@@danaranstrom3396 You need to listen to the album as a whole. You always need to do that with Tool. That is partly why they resisted spotify.
@@husker6395 oh yeah seen em in Nampa as well love there first three albums
Saw Tool at Red Rocks in the 90s, only thing I ever experienced in my life with equal power was my wife saying "Yes" when I proposed, and the birth of my child. I swear to God, me and my bro thought the mother ship was going to land at that concert.
I think it's safe to say that George and Ryan are officially part of the Tool army 🤘🤘
My mom, a huge Tool fan, referring to the "Wake up now child..." part: "Each member of the band right here sounds like they wouldn't fit together separately, but when you listen to it all together, they all go together. It's incredible."
I'm paraphrasing, but that's the basic point she made.😊 Love you mom.❤
I'm always shocked that the sound they make comes out of four people. Like how is it possible?! lol
"Together separately"
Your mom is high af 😸
George walking out while Ryan is vibing by himself is the single greatest moment in Lost In Vegas history
*both just throw up their hands*
Don't stop it! Don't stop it!
After George went, you can see the moment on Ryan face where he simply accepted the reality of perfection - his face was like almost crying, just sitting in belief and bowing to it. Best reaction vid ever, Sat Nam 🙏
You basically can’t listen loud enough
The second greatest is when listening to Rittz makes Ryan jump up and bust his leg up because Rittz was so good.
Blackwater Park reaction was hella funny too. It's one of their best moments.
"Better the more we listen to it". Describes Tool whole catalog in a nutshell.
No it doesn't, every Tool album created was good at moments listen. This album is just painful to listen too, sorry.
Trey Charles If you have to be sorry for your opinion, do you really believe it?
@@jonariaofthejonaries1705 I have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. I won't say this is their best by any means, but for me it's far from bad.
@@leviwarner1119 Nice manipulation, but i'm sorry to say such a thing being such a Tool fan, if you want to see through my perspective look at the Needledrops review on the album. Way to much to explain through RUclips comments.

TOOL - THE GRUDGE. You will absolutely lose your mind.
Keyvan Azh “loose” yep, maybe accidental, but well put...

Review the whole album. Why stop now? The whole thing is a masterpiece. Can't wait untill you hear 7empest!
Love watching y'all. But we've known this for YEARS!
I'm not exactly Tool's demographic ( 65 yo woman) but Ithink this song is brilliant! I listen over and over. Can't get enough. Loved this reaction. I shared it to my Facebook wall.
You're awesome Linda! #SpiralOut
@Linda, you’re in the right place because this song was written for post menopausals!
The female part of your statement is true, but the band members are all Baby Boomers like me, so yeah...they've been writing songs for my age all along, or very close.
@Luke lol. I guess that does give me away.
you're only 10 years older than most of the band members, you'd be surprised
13 years for an eternal album.. I’ll take that trade
Cameron Campbell couldn’t have said it better.
This has been the best trade deal in the history of trade deals
Any effing time, brother!!

Dude he Nailed “You are the last Dragon” too. I can’t ever remember watching the movie but I do remember hearing that part.
After hearing some tool fans bitch about this album it was nice to see how much you guys enjoyed this track. Its fantastic
There will ALWAYS be some complainers. It's just statistics.

Hell yeah bro, welcome
So glad you guys jumped right on this album. Thank you!!
Your reaction got me emotional. We know exactly what you're feeling in this vid.
I was feeling something the whole time, but when they recapped their earlier songs, and being here since they’ve done those reactions, it made me feel like we’ve come a long ways. This album just holds something very special
For the first time a YT comment made me shiver. Thank you.
It’s true though. Invincible is about Tool, and Descending says it for us. This is their swan song. Their epilogue. Danny wants to do one more, but I think they all know, and so do we.
I hear you bro, I feel like this is the salute and good-bye... They are all over 50...
Girls Need to Eat Something there will still be an encore! Reading what has now come out they certainly have plenty of material for another album
Agreed. Adam is on another level so damn often with his tone. SO important. Gotta have it.
The rhythmic overlapping screams Belew-era KC to me
@@heatherperleberg7816exactly!
"The drumming is crazy" .... it's Danny Carey dudes. Welcome to the octopus.
Danny is the greatest drummer ever. His solos are toned down compare to what he is really capable of.
Legend has it that Danny's penis is a third arm.
Danny carey showed his 58yo ass on this whole album!!! Every track is like a drum solo
We found a new standard of measure: yeah the song is a good, but is it George walk off the set good?
Lol yes!
Gojira - Heaviest Matter of the Universe caused a brief George walkoff. Was hilarious
Gojira The Art of Dying got George walking off the set
George?
Geor- George?

Patiently awaiting this reaction. We ALL know what part they're gonna lose their shit to.🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾😂
Best reaction ive seen so far. Welcome into the tool army!
Adam : Hey Danny do you want to put that sick fill in the beginning, middle, or end of the song?
Danny: Yes
Hahahahaha
This joke was funnier on a different Fear Inoculum song on RUclips
Made me laugh so hard I started crying! Thank you!
Lol
Adam did pro wrestler, Chris Jericho's podcast, and said Danny is so good all over the place, he had trouble remembering his riffs. And Adam is no joke either.
19:52 "I'm gonna make fun of someone who doesn't like this song."
Fantano has left the chat.
That dude refuses to admit how biased he is towards and against certain genres of music. I might trust his opinion on "pop" music, but that's about it. He's a bit soulless.
Eric Chauche well I mean he was accused of being biased against rap albums. He’s probably been accused of being biased about everything, he just doesn’t like it that’s all.

I was stone sober when I first went to see Tool. Never had smoked or drank in my life. That concert put me in a crazy trance that has never really been matched.
Best part is they love this, and they haven't even heard descending, invincible, or 7empest yet.
Right lol
Invincible is on another level
True story!
George is gonna have a damn heart attack when he hears 7empest. Ryan will lose his god damn mind too
Kevin Demers especially with the amazing guitar solo..
Or when he hears the drum sections on Invincible
Hell, I've been accustomed to Tool for over 20 years and lost my mind for 7empest.
I really hope they go through the rest of the album first. I feel 7empest is a track they won’t enjoy as much if taken out of context from the other songs. It’s a build up to a finale of sorts
@@ocat1979 I agree. Simply stating that the stank face they're gonna make when they hear it is gonna be off the charts. It's gonna be 2 empty chairs on the screen and them running outside naked wondering how they got to home Depot.
