2024 Toyota Tacomas MADE entirely in MEXICO... Here's WHY that's a PROBLEM!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 22 май 2024
- Toyota is paying pennies on the dollar for labor in Mexico... Moving production of their iconic Toyota Tacoma entirely from America to Mexico isn't a good thing. It'd be less painful if Toyota actually passed on the savings to the consumer. But instead they hiked prices even more. New 2024 Toyota Tacoma prices are through the roof. Killing off the reliable naturally aspirated V6 and shoving a tiny turbocharged 4 cylinder in there as the ONLY option is a huge miss. Toyota flopped on the new Tacoma, we, the consumer NEED to be critical of it. Positive changes won't ever be made if we just roll over and accept this 4 banger Tacoma as it is. Asking over $50K for their non-iForce Max version is ludicrous too...
It's not surprise that we see soooo many brand new 2024 Toyota Tacomas just sitting on dealer lots already. Crazy to see Toyota offer a full new redesign then just have them sit upon arrival. Very little excitement over this little rig, which is a total shame. True Toyota enthusiasts (not fanboy simps), want an affordable pickup that is simplistic and reliable. That's all. That's why we buy Toyota pickups. It's really that simple. But here we are... This is all we get. Meh.

amen bro ...
If people stopped watching trd Jon's channel or any other shill that will send a message.
Exactly. Mexico makes great tacos 🌮 anyway
I live in California . I bought a new Tacoma last week . I had to wait 2 hrs for my car to be prepped so I could take it home . It took a long time bc so many ppl bought cars before me . California is not struggling with buying expensive cars
@craigcliff1586 remember, CA is king of buying with credit. Just because you buy it, doesn't mean you own it, the bank owns it. You own a payment. Congrats.
My big issue is the outrageous pricing. Tacoma was always a value equation and that’s gone now.
Exactly. They forgot who their market was.
Glad I bought my 22 Tacoma Off Road 4x4 with MT & 6 cyl. when I did. The value just keeps increasing.
for sure, definitely a luxury category item now
Yeah that feels like a slap in the face from Toyota… Cuts labor costs by 80%+ then proceeds to upcharge 25-30% smh
50k for a four banger built in Mexico
No thank you
Doesn’t roll off the tongue well huh? lol
@@UntamedMotorsdude, uninstall the tail light of that TRD tundra behind you… the one you’re so proud of; only for you to realize it says MADE IN MEXICO!!! Stop the misinformation
@@bryanttvenegas3878 just cause you don’t agree with it, doesn’t mean it’s misinformation. 😉
Like I said, remove the tail light from your 2021 TRD TUNDRA to find out it was made in Mexico… btw I own a 2015 platinum, in my opinion the best year of the 2nd gen tundra and had to replace the tail light, that’s how I found out and started looking for where parts where made
Making vehicles or parts for Toyota in Mexico is not a new thing, but people don’t take the time to get informed and that’s dangerous man; because other people will believe on what you’re saying without even searching if that’s true or not
@@bryanttvenegas3878 pretty sure it’s common knowledge that many parts have always been made in China and Mexico. But to move production entirely to Mexico or China is a flop.
Answer is simple, don’t buy Toyota!
Yeah- the other brands are SO much better 😂
you will be the first to buy Toyota lool
Sadly, easier said then done, especially in the off-road SUV market. Nothing matches a Toyota. Who else has Torsen, or of equal reliability, center differential?
Nissan Frontier for starters, that’s where my money would go if I bought a mid- sized truck today!! If you want these companies to really to start listening to the customer then we have to use the greatest power we have it’s called our business! It may hurt ur feelings for a while but I promise you It’ll work, I personally wouldn’t ever pay 50 K for any mid- sized truck, especially with a 4 cylinder period end of conversation. You do you boo and I’ll do me. God bless!
@@theoutdoordad7395 no worse either you buy what you want, if you ain’t got any better sense then to spend 60 k on garbage you go right ahead, I’m sure Toyota will accommodate you 😭
Toyota will find out that their current strategy isn’t sustainable, despite certain very popular RUclips channels consistently swinging on Toyota’s nutsack like Tarzan. Sales won’t meet Toyota’s expectations and reliability won’t meet customers’ expectations….we’ll see what Toyota does then. Great content and perspective, as usual.
Toyota needs to cease ALL 2024 line up production and IMMEDIATELY re-start exact copy 1984 line up production in Texas !
Thanks brother. Yeah they have some committed Yes Men on RUclips… that’s a fact. Hard to be critical of something when you’re getting free trips to 5 star resorts and handed free “First Unveiling” content. 🤦♂️
I always wanted a Tacoma, however with this new truck I think I’m going to get a Frontier Pro 4X instead
Good luck with that
Pro4x sucks
Love the Pro-4X, and the value is what the Taco used to be.
The Frontier is a fantastic truck. Gen 3 Taco is no comparison. Poor seating position, poor drivability, searching all the time transmission. Haven't driven a 4th gen Taco, but the styling, inside and out, 4cyl, and the pricing are big turnoffs
I have a 2014 Tundra I bought new in ‘14. When I was young, I had an ‘88 Nissan 4x4 (4 cylinder) and a ‘95 Nissan 4x4 (6 cylinder). I put over 200k miles on both. Both ran like new when I sold them. I did just basic maintenance stuff. I was very impressed on longevity with those trucks. If I was in the market for a small truck, I’d buy that 6 cylinder Nissan 4x4 they have now. I just wouldn’t tow horse trailers or larger boats with it. Knowing how overkill I am on maintenance, I’d feel confident that Nissan would last me well over 20 years and still run like new. My Tundra now runs better than when I first drove it off the lot 10 years ago. My advice- buy something built to last. Learn to do your own maintenance on it. Park in a garage if you can. Pay it off as quickly as you can. Drive it for at least 10 years after paying it off. Save that imaginary payment monthly for those 10 years for your emergency fund. Invest as much as you can in a retirement plan. You’ll be a happy camper when you get gray hair some day.
I love the new Tacoma, it's making my 2021 Tacoma worth even more than it already is.
Back in Nov '19 I bought a 2 year lease return on a V6 '17 TRD Sport for 28k. A couple months ago I was offered $30k in cash. I said no thank you, I love my taco and plan on keeping it for awhile.
Keep calling them out
Totally!

I will. I like Toyota and want them to make positive changes that people actually want. I owe Toyota nothing. 😉
This engine is BEYOND complicated. Just look at the car care nuts breakdown of just the base turbo 2.4. Now add a electric motor AND a battery... sheesh
Turbo hybrid. Yikes!
Yup you are correct
How does the car care nut know so much about cars? He seems much more educated than your typical mechanic.

Made in Japan. You see this on your Toyota, Honda or Lexus, you know you own a quality built vehicle.
are there any 'made in Japan' vehicles available to us in the USA?
Why are Japanese better workers than Americans?
@michelle-lz8tg yes some of the Mazdas😊 purchased a 2024 Mazda CX-5 all-wheel drive made in Japan quality is 100% first foreign vehicle after buying cars for the last 40 years😊
The 4Runner is still made in Japan and the new 6th gen is supposed to be as well.
I think Toyota 4 cyl with cheap labor costs has begun to backfire. Sad that my generation could afford a Taco, Today no one can.
Yeah it’s become unattainable for most folks… which is a total shame
The dude is straight up lying about the wages at the Toyota assembly plant in Mexico.
Love what you're saying here! Move production away from the states, raise the price , and only offer one powertrain. No thanks
Yeah this was a pretty big misstep by Toyota… =\
Tacomas have been made in Mexico only for years already, and the Toyota plant that makes them is the highest paying factory in the whole region. They make more than 5x per hour what he claims. He's a fraud.
Totally agree. Keep calling them out. Let the new ones sit
Thanks brother. I want Toyota to make some positive changes that enthusiasts actually want. Don’t like the path they’re on atm… it’s a shame.

Yeah Toyota is making it difficult for true enthusiasts to actually want their vehicles anymore… pricing, 4 bangers, hybridization of everything, Mexico built… smh
I'm enjoying my 24 canyon built right down the street from me in Missouri
I had a 2011 Tacoma for 13 years. Best vehicle I have ever owned hands down. The yearly repairs from lifting it became too much which was my fault from lifting it in the first place 11 years ago. It was a price to pay which I did not consider. I decided to return the middle finger to Toyota and bought a 2024 Frontier. Naturally aspirated V-6 fully loaded and rides very good. So far I am very pleased with it. Toyota hates the USA because they moved everything to Mexico and raised thier prices on top of that for more $$$. I am glad to know my Frontier is assembled in the USA. This country is failing and a lot of companies want the USA to fail which is why they are giving us the middle finger.
I honestly wish my wife and I got frontier. I like our Mazda but we could’ve bought a Pro-4X for the same money as the Mazda we have and I wanted the Baja Storm color too lol damn
@@Papolucho702 I'm glad you mentioned the Baja Storm color. I was tossed between the Baja and the Pearl Gray but went with the Baja. I am SOOOO glad I did because the Baja just stands out and gives it a more rugged look to it which I like.
I feel like the new Frontier is a modern 2nd gen Taco. Seems like a pretty good truck
Bought a 24 Pro 4X. Love it. The 6 is smooth, quality is incredible. Loaded with every option 47k. Built in Tennessee. I've own a Tacoma and a Tundra. They can keep their new overpriced trucks.
@@juddblaney9320 Yes its pretty old school. Still uses the F-Alpha platform fully boxed frame. Still has hydraulic rack and pinion steering too. Allot of that truck dates back to 2005. The motor is now direct injection but still uses the VQ tech which also dates back to 2005. They did improve the dampening/ride and threw in all the safety stuff with updated center stack/gauge cluster etc.. IMO, Nissan will benefit from Toyota's higher pricing. It should be pretty easy for buyers to see the value. Even the new Ranger is seems cheap in comparison. Which IMO is probably the best mid size in segment.
Nailed it. I’d have no problem with this Mexican Tacoma if a TRD Off-Road was $39,500. Also the way they’re packaging features is a big fuck you to customers.
Yesterday I was servicing my 4Runner at my local dealership my first 5000 Miles on my 2024 TRD Pro, oil change and all kind of required checks. Nearby on the lot was a 2024 Tacoma. A customer turned it on. The engine sound it’s a joke. It’s hilarious. It’s like you turned on a small crossover. It will sound more real and decent on a RAV4.
Thank you for not being a shill. Been eying the frontier and Titan more lately.
Definitely that and the turbo 4 is the reason I avoided them.
Then go buy you an overpriced Ranger or Canyon then….oh wait, turbo 4’s too. People are complaining for no reason. Untamed just salty cause he didn’t get invited to the Taco press events, so he’s doing Toyota hate now for clicks.

I knew I would not be able to afford a 4th gen Tacoma when it was first coming out, so I figured I would wait a few years and get a used one with 50-100k miles on it, until i heard it was going to have a Turbo, now I have absolutely zero plans on ever getting one.
Ford did same with Mavericks but at least they passed along savings to keep price point down. Hence Mavericks sell out instantly and Tacos will not.
I’ve liked, subscribed, and commented on your videos because these type of topics need be talked about more. Too many RUclipsrs are shoving these new Tacomas down our throats because they are gaining some kind of benefit from Toyota. Just happy to find someone who brings these points up. We the American consumers are getting screwed. I test drove a new Tacoma last week and the fan in the driver seat for ventilation was super loud. It was like a leaf blower. The passenger was fine but the drive seat was too loud. It just proves your point about quality. Keep up the good work.
As a Hispanic, I don't trust cars made in Mejico. My mom bought a Bronco a couple of years ago and did not have it 6 months before she had to return it.

Prices will never be in the high 20s again. Inflation of the dollar is the main reason for that
You saying what I'm trying to say. Keep doing what you're doing.
I work at the Texas plant & the biggest reason was because of long hours we were working to build both Tacomas & Tundras. We were working 10-12 hours per day 5 days a week & when your shift was on days you had to work Saturdays so the work life balance was terrible! Now we work 8-9 hours with rare Saturdays. The plant in Mexico was built to make Corollas but changed to Tacoma
Loved the tour I had at your plant. Also Momma Margies. SA is awesome.
Very solid points. Thanks for highlighting it and bringing it to our attention!
I agreed with you 💯!!!
Have a new trd sport tacoma been over it with a fine tooth comb as I detailed it. No issues, no squeaks, no rattles, body panel lines are good. Huge improvement over 3rd gen.
Agreed. My 24 is nothing but amazing over that relic 3rd gen that hurt to drive.
Jeezus Toyota really pays Mexico workers $2.70/hr??? Damn…
No, no they don't. Toyota Baja plant is one of the highest paying factories in the whole region. They pay more than 5x that per hour. The equivelent pay in the US is close to $25 per hour. He's a fraudster.
I traded my 2020 Tacoma for a 2021 Tundra since I needed the room. Boy did I feel stupid not getting the Tundra in the first place. Love yours, my friend. Keep that thing forever.
ugliest truck out there sorry
Excellent analysis. Thank you
You’ve been on a roll lately! Once again, I couldn’t agree more. I was excited to see the 4th Gen, but knew I wasn’t going to buy one. My 2017 TRD OR 4x4 had an MSRP $33K. Even with more tech and advanced features, I couldn’t imagine paying nearly $10K more for a 4th Gen. I’m looking to add a late 5th Gen T4R or one of the last GX’s to my stable. Not going for either of the new generation models. Keep up the videos; I’m sure Toyota would wish you didn’t, but you’re doing great work in my book!
I don't know.., my 23 4runner was made in japan and it had a bad headlight seal the day after it left the lot. Also from new a bad front differential the dealer said was tire noise. Long story short 14 thousand miles the whole front differential had to be replaced by a second dealership because it was "full of metal in the fluid." Toyota skimped out on the sound deadening with the windshield cowl which resulted in sounds as if the windshield would split in two at any minute. I had to fix that myself. Thank goodness for the 4runner forums and their ideas where to add insulation. I think toyota has been cutting corners and it's all coming to fruition. I will not be buying any of their new products because the prices have just gotten insane.
OK, OK you’re a Nissan fanboy posing as a 4Runner owner. We know who you are, and we’re watching.
After talking with some people in the industry I’m not as worried about the new turbo 2.4L. Toyota’s actually been testing the engine for over six years now and there’s a lot of complicated science that goes behind the design to make it reliable. The new combustion burn efficiency rates are straight up magic and all the major components like rod bearings have been beefed up to meet their reliability standards. For example it has two less cylinders than the V6 but the rod bearings are 30% bigger which actually equals out to less total stress. The 2.4L is going into THREE of Toyotas flagship vehicles. They’re not going to do that with an engine that doesn’t live up to their reputation. It’s not the 1980’s anymore you can build a reliable turbo 4 it’s just really expensive to do right which is reflected in the prices unfortunately.
I hate that I have to switch brands now I love my tacoma and I really wanted the new one but looks like I'm switching after 30 years truly sad. I never thought I would see this day.
Don't let this smooth brained fraudster disuade you. Go drive one yourself. They're pretty dang nice.
The Toyota plant is Baja California Mexico was producing some of the components for the Tacoma for many years before the entire Tacoma production was moved. There are onsite Japanese QC engineers living in Baja Mexico to monitor their productive and quality. Toyota also sells the Toyota Hilux in Mexico where both the Hilux in Mexico, especially in the Northern States of Mexico. The Hilux and Tacoma are very popular trucks there. They . have a huge fan base and loyal following in Mexico just as there is in US. I’ve gone to dealerships in 4 different cities and their Tacomas are much more expensive there to include the OEM parts. I’ve priced parts for Toyota and Honda in Mexico and they are 50-60% more retail than prices here in the US.
I was all sold on getting a 2024 Tacoma TRD pro , but the 4 banger hybrid, the increase in price and made in Mexico, nope not gonna do it. I’m
really looking at the Ranger Raptor now
The main issue isn’t made in Mexico. I had a 2021 Taco made in Mexico and it was fine. The main issue is not the 2.4 turbo four either.
The main issue is the astronomical price increases over the 3rd gen.
Love that I found your channel. Love the honesty and what other people are thinking. Or at least what I am thinking about Toyota. Wanted the Tacoma so much. Was waiting for this new gen but the cost was crazy. The mpg that was rumored to be around 30 mpg for the hybrid was super disappointing. Have 1-2 mpg more than the gas engine sucks. With the million trim levels that Toyota seems to like with their cars I think the options that they could have made with the Tacoma was missed. I feel SUVs and trucks are kinda like the new family “car”. They should have more engine choices, kept a bigger gas tank or at least an option for a bigger gas tank. Could have expanded the back seat about 6 inches to a foot by taking the option of a 6ft bed. Take the 1ft bed, put it in the backseat area and keep the 5ft bed. And yes everyone it would be hard on the line when producing all the trucks but have the option at least. I know it is all about money but slow down and build quality and wipe out your competition. Thanks.
My personal vehicle is a 2017 Tacoma that was made in Mexico and my work truck is a 2016 4Runner that was made in Japan. Both are daily drivers and I can tell the difference in the quality, fit, and finish. The first couple years I had my Tacoma I had plenty problems, in which the vehicle was at the dealership often for warranty repairs. My 4Runner only had one issue, a fog lamp wasn’t working. 🤙🏼
Is most of the sales for Toyota in the United States? Why wouldn’t they build them in the United States?
They were building them in TX years ago alongside the Tundra. But Tundra sales have went up and the TX plant couldn't build more. So they built the Baja plant to build Tacomas and dedicated the TX plant to build Tundras and the Tundra based SUVs. 1 platform. Of note is that when they were builing Tacomas at both locations it was the Baja plant trucks that had few quality issues and warranty related repairs. So they earned it.
My 19 TRDOR Tacoma was built in Mexico. I had no issues with fit and finish. I also never had issues with mechanical stuff as well. So we'll have to see in time if your right.
All Tacomas have been built in Mexico for a while now. This smooth brained fraudster doesn't know what he's talking about. Probably a UAW shill.

Bought a 2023 Tacoma and I love it. Solid truck. Yeah it hunts for gears sometimes and wish the gas mileage was better but I am confident I will have this truck for many years and when I buy something new, it will be handed down to my son to enjoy.
I worked for a Toyota subsidiary in N. Carolina making transmissions for Tacomas. There were also Japanese working the same line. The same hours. Probably were getting paid more than I was. Anyway they didn't mess around. Quality was paramount. I also worked for Aisin Texas making transmissions for Tundra's. Again the technology utilized on the various assembly lines was astounding. Then they had various test cells. They also had specialized repair stations if a transmission failed QC tests.
Buy a Nissan Frontier. It is built in US and has a V6. The quality is not bad either. The price is way way way less expensive!!

Definitely keeping my 2nd gen 2015 trd sport. These new prices are highway robbery especially for a new Platform that doesn’t scream reliability. Keep these videos coming. Good shit!
Was going to buy a 24 trd sport this week till I heard the move and not paying $50 thousand for one. Now I will keep my 2020 Silverado 2500hd.
Here's something that really stands out to me. Every Toyota I've seen for the last 20 years has an emblem on the back that says V6 or V8. How come Toyota doesn't put the I4 emblem on these things? They do put an IForceMax one, but that's to tout the electric assist. It's clear that even Toyota knows that "I4" is not emblem-worthy.
My 07 tacoma is made in Mexico. It still runs like a champ. It is the first vehicle I purchased as an apprentice. It made me alot of money and still does
I had a '17 Taco, loud inside, paint scratches if you look at it wrong, can hear the bed cracking when you put something heavy in it. Love (lol) the transmission hunting for gears constantly too. I think Toyota cashed in the last of their chips on this generation Taco. People waking up from a bitch slap with the 50-60k price tag. I am very happy with my '23 Canyon 4x4 with 310/430 power... paid 42k!
I had put down a fully refundable deposit on the 24 tacoma pre pricing release. I canceled it, Toyota has lost their mind and my business!
You got your braces off already well that was quick congratulations 🎉
When was the last quality Tacoma built? I have a 2000 4Runner and was planning on replacing it with a new Tacoma next year. I know this might be subjective, but I'm curious what your thoughts are. Obviously, i hold on to my vehicles for a long time. I even still own my car when i was 16. Lol
When I voiced my concerns about the truck being built in Mexico to the Toyota dealership salesman, before I bought the truck, he informed me that it would be built the same as if it were built in Mexico. Just finished having my 2023 Tacoma recall completed and wondering what's next? FYI I gave my 1995 Tacoma to my grandson with nearly 400,000 miles on it. I told my grandson I don't know but I suspect she will go another 200,000?
You are absolutely correct on everything you said. The top executives and CEO should take a pay cut before they expect people to buy their overpriced trucks.

Never thought assembly line workers in Texas are only making $17 an hour. That’s not enough to even live on should be at least $25 an hour.
My 2019 Toyota Yaris (Mazda 2) was built in Mexico. No problems yet at 70,000, but I have my fingers crossed, and am good with maintenance. I don't like where it was made either, but I only paid $11,000 for it in like new condition in 2020 with 19,xxx miles. My next car will likely be a used Lexus with low miles, and the VIN will start with a J. They're at least reasonably priced (for now).
Regarding country of manufacture, the same can be said about the RAM1500 and RAM2500. The last time I checked, the 1500 is made in US, and the 2500 in Mexico. The 1500 reliability isn't great, so I'm definitely not optimistic about the 2500.
100% wholeheartedly agree with you.
I had 2 Nissan frontiers each one for 10 years with no problems and both built in the USA
Currently have 137k miles on my 2019 ranger with the 2.3 ecoboost. Smaller 2L turbo engines can last you just gotta take proper care of them. But my ranger was built in Wayne, Michigan not Mexico. So idk about the yota yet. Hasn’t been enough time to prove itself.

Great vehicle made in Thailand, no issues.
Quality standards are quantity standards.
Original suggested MSRP for the 4th gen was 28,600. If that was the original base price I think their efforts of moving production would be justified and the savings would be passed on to us. Although my 2015 is built in San Antonio. My buddy's 2018 is built in Tijuana, he is really happy with the build quality of that truck. Back in the 2nd and 3rd gen days the Mexican made models still had the same level of quality control. I think the issue is Toyota overall banking on their past of making good trucks. Cutting corners and raising prices because they think they can get away with it.
Your buddy got lucky, literally nothing hecho en Mexico has anything approaching QC, I agree 28k would be more realistic, but no way I buy a 4 banger pickup even for 30k
Not to defend México because Im mexican that was born in the citty where Tacomas are made, but their quality is pretty good.
When things go bad is when the parts are bad quality or the just the process.
Also, they fire your ass in a heartbeat if you dont perform, unlike in the state's where unioa make it a lot more difficult.
Now, dont get me wrong, TOYOTA is saving a ton of money since an average worker gets paid like $120 a week and yet we are still being over charge by Toyota and the dealerships.
I’d say 15.22 is flipping burgers wage. I’d check your data it’s hard to believe it’s that low…
New here but feels like you just have a grudge against Toyota. All new cars are super complex. The head unit failed in my mom’s outback and the replacement cost was over 5k. The car literally won’t run without it because most of the interior and drivetrain settings use it. I’m looking for a compact truck currently and in east TN you can’t get a Tacoma unless you put down a deposit. Most TRD models are sold as soon as they’re allocated.
Did you sell your 2023 Trd pro?

I have a 2009 Tacoma TRD, long bed V6 with 151,000 miles. I already have the new frame from the recall, suspension, and a bunch of other stuff over the years. I could really go to the mattresses and spend 5k to replace the things that haven't already been and run it for 200,000 more miles. Or spend 60k on the new one and get a 4banger, nah
I own a Scion (Toyota) and a Mitsubishi both are Made in Japan with naturally aspirated engines and non-cvt transmissions. I won't have it any other way.
Toyota starting pay to work on the manufacturing line in Texas is $21.25 an hour, which can be found if you go on Toyotas careers website. From what I read an average factory worker in Mexico has seen their pay rising, $5 an hour wouldn't be out of the ordinary. 21 hours to build the average Toyota automobile. So $446.25 to build a Toyota in Texas. $105 to build that same Toyota in Mexico. Either way, these trucks are WAYYYYY to expensive!!!
Thank you for keeping it completely honest about toyota. How can they charge more for less just because it's new. Toyota is literally not the only one trying to screw the every day American but we need to draw the line and not be ok with stuff like this.
I 100% agree with you
Dude, sorry if I contradict your statement about the car production in Toyota factory located Mexico.
I’ve been inside the mega factory Toyota in Tecate, MX, too close to the US border, every production line is supervised by Japanese engineers qualified. They approve the final stage of every finished pick up, it’s a strict quality control towards US federal vehicle regulations, the 4 cylinder hybrid engine is technology brought from Japan, and fyi the management there is American payroll, so those Mexicans make great money earnings.
I have a Honda accord 2.0t 130k m I never have problems everybody say no good turbos this car never have problems
Your 100 percent correct untamed! Mexico and China have one thing in common their build Quality sucks and most people know it, Thank God the other mid sized truck auto makers are stepping up there game and building some nice rigs-The Chevy colorado ZR2 for 48K and the ford ranger raptor for 57k are a few
Agreed. After seeing that Ranger Raptor in the flesh, I can honestly say that it feels like the better buy in nearly every regard. That ZR2 is sleek too… way more appropriately priced. 💯
@@UntamedMotors forsure!
The cheapest tacoma on the lot I saw was 38k the other day. The interior is nice, but it's definitely too small if you have more than one kid.
The best decision I ever made is, but the jeep gladiator under the killer deals they had.
The build quality and fit and finish of the Lexus and Toyotas that come out of their factories in Japan is really much much better than their vehicles coming out of their North America / Mexico factories.
I've owned a 2003 4runner, 2010 4runner, 2015 Tundra (I still have it) and this newest Tacoma. The fit and finish on this new Tacoma seems as good as any of those. Seems a lot better compared to the Tundra, and about the same as the 2010 4runner.
Not to say the 2024 Taco isn't the 4 banger that costs 65k that nobody wants. But my 09 2nd Gen was built in Mexico and I have owned since new and the only thing that went out was 2x blower motors and 1x washer fluid pump. I still have it.
Fastfood workers in CA get paid $20/hour ....
and i walked in to Macdonalds in Walnut Creek nd the no. 1 value meal big mac meal was $27.50 ,,,, tihs is true what a joke !!! Macdonalds is not a career its a starting point for teens ... evryone knows that
Yes, and a shotgun shack cost over $1 million there too.
That's why your getting overrun by illegal Mexicans. Good work California.
This is why I bought a Frontier
Mechanic here, 2.4 is a big 4 cylinder, direct and tune port injection, can't wait for aftermarket to get a hold of it. Gr coralla cant make 400hp out of 3 cylinder. But get good milage when driven normally. As for manufacturing, labour is not the biggest cost, taking years for approval of a new factory , zoning, environmental, federal, state, county...... then corrupt union leaders, 2 in Canada are under investigation, where in Mexico, you start building tomorrow.
Spot on man…
