I WILL be watching the opening eventually, but don't want to spoil myself with any hinted no context spoilers so I'm choosing to wait. Once I do watch the opening at the end of the cour, I plan on making a further video breaking down the opening and comparing my reactions to it!

I was actually quite surprised when you talked about a possible interaction between badi and Ruijerd in the predictions.
A lot of them were quite spot on, though there were a lot of hints to work with.
(I like how you predicted Badigadi was going to show up totally by chance)

- Zenith's family lives in Millis, which was why Paul stayed there while searching for teleportation survivors. During the meantime they had Zenith's family took care of the kids for a while, which is why "Norn's grandmother" was brought up. Since Paul was totally a douchebag back in the days, Norn's grandmother actually doesn't like him, and she will say a lot of stuff insulting Paul in front of the kids, this caused both Norn and Aisha dislike this grandmother a lot, or else letting them staying in Millis with Zenith's family could be a potential option.
- Remember that Lillia said she was pregnant AFTER Roxy left and Rudy befriended Sylphie, which was after Rudy's 5th birthday. Let's say they were born when Rudy was 6 years old. Since Rudeus married Sylphie at age 16, Norn and Aisha should be around 10 years old by this point.
Thanks for some of this information. I went ahead and expanded on some of it in my latest prediction video I just filmed. So many little details I'm interested to see if the anime includes any, but I guess we will have to wait and see!
Crazy how Mushoku Tensei was inspired by ecchi titles and eroge visual novels like Slave Harem Labyrinth (anime) and Rance (eroge)
Did you know the author based off Ranoa University off of classic eroge-style school settings?
You can thank eroge for the reason why Mushoku Tensei has so much emotional drama. The author has a lot of respect for eroge visual novels, although the medium is really niche.
norn is a follower of millis where you only have 1 partner, so she was upset because last time she saw rudy he was with eris. thats what she meant

@@LykesonRose I’m glad I could make myself understood in my comment.I think Japanese is so difficult even though I’m Japanese, but you can acquire Japanese because you’ve listened to a lot of Japanese from anime.
@@user-hn1cm8cs8z That's what I've been told and even attempting to read beginner Kanji or at least understand the difference is challenging. Hopefully my years of watching anime will help!
Beautiful episode, calm but a few things happen to keep track of.
It was good to see our favorite green-haired baldy asking the right questions we all want to know.
If you look at the map, you can see the forested area near the Dragon Kingdom mountain range, which Ruijerd talks about, as I remember, he heard rumors about someone of the demon race being seen in the area but he didn't get anything in 2 years of searching, but he DID find the remains and objects of victims of the mana disaster, when he was bringing those things back to their families, he found then Paul in East Port as we know.
Basically Ruijerd was one of Laplace's lieutenants, and King Badi belonged to one of the factions that opposed him, hence the grudges.
Rudeus is learning to empathize with the problems of the people around him like never before, we saw it in the previous ep with Nanahoshi and now with his little sisters, it is a great progress for him who looked at women as NPC characters in erotic games.
Aisha is so smart! She could be even smarter than him lol, poor Norn, just a normal kid among geniuses.
Oh and remember that they were in Millis, the place where Zenith's family comes from, it's not strange that they met her mother (the grandma).
I don't remember the exact age of the girls, but it is less than 10, in the letter Paul regretted missing Rudy's 15th birthday and that he would miss their 10th as well.
Oops, I haven't made such a long comment in a while, sorry for that but I really enjoyed this ep. and the react.

That makes sense as to how he ran into Paul. I'm curious to see which route Ruijerd decides to take next as he seems to be looking for the Demon Race? I can't remember what he was doing prior to finding Rudeus and Eris on the Demon Continent. Now since the Superd's name has been cleared (nobody fears him except Roxy) Ruijerd can continue to travel and assist those along the way using his strength.
I see, so that's how Ruijerd and Badi know one another. I went on the basis of my prediction due to them being from that era, but that was it.
I wonder if Zenith's side of the family will play any relevance... I may include that within my prediction video.

@@LykesonRose In the LN he tells Rudy he's heading to the woods in the North, because he heard weird rumors that some demons are showing up in there. The reason he's looking for woods is because that seems to be the ideal environment for a clan of Superd race to hide and live.

Norn should be a few months older then Aisha but Aisha is built different so she prolly remembers stuff from her mom womb while Norn simply doesn't remember stuff from when she was 3

@@NoImprovement7568 it could be, They might have said it and i dont remember. My logic was that: Paul cheated on Zenith because she was pregnant she couldn't couldn't have sex for 9 months. Paul couldn't contain his dick so he went for Lilia. (thats the oficial reason they mentioned in the novels). If Zenith was already pregnant to the point that they would know, then Lilia gotta have got pregnant a few months after Zenith, thus resulting in Norn being Older then AIsha. But Aisha might have been born premature and be the same age as Norn. its a possibility

BTW Ruijerd quickly left because he felt uncomfortable and lonely Eris wasn't there, even Rudeus felt their relationship with Ruijerd was a bit strained because of this, Ruijerd was also a little cold towards Sylphie at first even though in the end he accepted her. So I find it strange that this part in the anime looks so wholesome but in the LN this part is quite tense
Eh I like the fact that Ruijerd was just happy for Rudy and happy to see the family together.

Fun fact: Aisha totally recognised Big sis Sylphiette before she said anything, unlike a certain someone who took more than a whole year to do that.

The Fitz glasses are a 100% for sure disguise factor that not even the best or brightest can see through.
Honestly it's quite understandable for Norn to become this so far.
She's just a normal kid, separated with her beloved father to live with a relative she doesn't know and actually dislikes.
It's also not better when she's having inferior complex of being compared to her sibling, as Paul totally said Aisha is so genius that he's already afraid how good his genes are.
Then apparently she's also not doing well in school for reasons. Whatever reasons of her not going well with classmates, it's definitely just making this situation even worse.
It's a combination of stressors that are piling up on Norn's shoulders and she's likely at the point where she says "what's the point of trying?"
This is another aspect I can truly appreciate about MT. The mana disaster not only separated people from there loved ones, but this series capitalizes on how one can be affected during child development because of this disaster.
Norm wasn't able to go to school, be able to socialize with people her age, and had to rely on someone to get by. Whereas Aisha was born a genuis and was able to overcome obstacles that Norn couldn't.
I'm interested to see where the next episode drives the story.
@@LykesonRose Within the box of jewel (which is basically Paul's fund for Rudy to take care of the kids) there was a mail from Lillia that got cut. In Lillia's mail she mentioned both girls were sent to elementary school in Millis, so they are somewhere educated, they know how to write and read, and in certain subjects they have got through some basic education. In the same mail Lillia also mentions how much both girls have learned, and noted their personality differences for Rudeus to keep an eye on.
This is also why Aisha says school has nothing to teach her, because that was the case in Millis.
@@hhjan594 Lilia is trying to help and support Rudeus the best she can. I think the anime should have had Rudeus narrate the letter Lilia sent or have her VA read off the letter as Norn and Aisha argue during a scene describing to the viewer how different they are.
Unfortunately they wont explain anything else about Ruijerd and Badigadi. In the Novels it has a full context that you can piece together. Its not all that complicated but all the lore is in the books
The dorms are split for boys and girls. Like when rudy went past the gorls dorm and got attacked by them.
Forgot about that aspect... Elinalise or Nanahoshi should check up on her then!
@@LykesonRose ye, he also has sylphie who has to guard Ariel, Sylphie comes home every 3 days, she comes home to cook then goes back to guard Ariel every evening but the rest of the time she is with Ariel guarding her.
The anime cut this.
This is why Rudy grabbed her and ran the first time she was home.
Every 3rd night sylphie sleeps at home. She still works for Ariel despite what the anime tried to tell us
The episode before covered a few months as well you can't do all of that in a week.
@@benjaminsimpson6254 I guess they excluded those details to save on a few minutes of added dialogue or perhaps showing scenes where Sylphie comes home every three days.
This episode skipped 3 whole chapters one of whoch may appear later .
Fingers crossed they cover those chapters next episode!
@@LykesonRose well one of them I doubt which is why I suggest watching the person I saw each week as they cover it brilliantly. Just don't click on the mushoku Monday stuff as that's light novel. Just the episode stuff
It seems eris story will be an OVA, not spoiling but eris have presence in the LN in this part (remember the blue hair girl in last cour during bagdi arival, she related) because let say she get one heck of glow up
That scene between Ruijerd and Badigadi was kinda tense
You can tell the the studio stepped up the animation for the intense stare down between Badi and Ruijerd.

Ruijerd being an emperor level fighter and Badigadi an immortal demon king
@@FlaccidPlatypus Being completely unbiased... I think Badigadi would win between the two. Ruijerd didn't hold a candle against Orsted and even though I wouldn't put King Badi on the same level, I don't think Ruijerd could damage Badi enough to best his immortality.
I'd say Badi's biggest weakness would be magic, and brute strength wouldn't be the best match against him.
