I loved the detail of changing to that world's language when Rudeus and Nanahoshi spoke japanese. Like when Rudeus was born and couldn't understand Paul and Zenith
I love that detail, I think they nailed the direction of having fictitious languages be more significant to a world of isekai, Mushoku Tensei is one of them.

@@dalilbaby4238Nanahoshi told Sylphie that both her and Rudy came from the same village that spoke a different language, which is a common trope lie for that sort of thing. However, Sylphie actually knows Rudy from since he was a kid, so she knows it isn't true. Hence "tried"
but rudy doesn't know its slyphie so he doesn't know he shared his childhood basically he self-reported and slyphie didn't elaborate further

You know a show is really good when arguably the best episode of the season takes place in one room with just straight-up diologue and lore and it manages to keep you equally as engaged as the action filled episodes.
Usually those are the best episodes of shows. Mr. Robot's 4x07 is an example of this.
They've all felt 5 minutes long.
Vinland Saga S2 ep 22 was a similar episode. It was a whole conversation between Thorfinn and Canute and every second of it is great.
Monogatari is almost 100 episodes of just dialogue

ya'll gotta remember that, under her alias as Fitz, Sylphie told Rudeus that they were also a victim of the mass teleportation and were even studying it on the day they met up again. So her reaction to hearing that Nanahoshi was responsible for the mass teleportation was normal from Rudeus's point of view.
Nanahoshi must’ve had similar encounters with people like Sylphie. She put those rings on too casually.

It's clueing you into her personality. She's actually very clever, Nanahoshi is arguably one of the smartest characters in the story. Of course she wasn't taking any chances dropping a reveal like that.

There's also the fact that she's traveled with the dragon god who "had alot of enemies" so she's used to being in the background simply protecting herself. Wouldn't help that someone could recognize her walking around with him with the iconic white mask

The teleportation event caused so much death and destruction, ruined so many lives that of course Sylphie reacted that way when Nanahoshi is like, "Yeah, that might have been me."
It definitely wasn't an excessive reaction. Imagine if a dude stood in front of you and said that they were responsible for 9/11. You're probably not just gonna be like "Oh, word?"

If your entire city got nuked, and 5 years later, another person announces "oh yeah I did it" and then another person flipped out, would you instantly assume they were your friend? Think of your city, thousands, or for some, millions of people got affected. Some of you people can't get out of your head that, yes, we the audience is following Rudy but he's not the main character in that world, where everything revolves around him.

By the way, if you go back and watch the first episode, the LITERAL FIRST THING they tell you is that two other people who were supposedly hit by the truck (aside from Rudeus) went missing. So yeah, this was foreshadowed from the very beginning
yeah! rudeus didnt go missing, he died, i assume his body is still in the old world. the two students disappeared though, entierly!
So its either entierly different events ( two teleportations, and one resurrection ) or it had different effects because he was dead when the summoning happened
@@kitsunekaze93 my theory is that the three students (in that same scene you can see a third student who made it out ok) were supposed to be teleported, but Rudeus kind of "pushed them out of the way" and messed up the spell. Maybe that's the same reason they arrived at different times (it took time for Nanahoshi to get back on track) and maybe the other student disappeared entirely. The best analogy I can come up with is Thor and Loki getting lost while using the Bifrost in Thor Ragnarok and arriving on Sakaar at different times. But you're right, since Rudeus got reincarnated and Nanahoshi got teleported, they might be different spells

two of them was summoned intentionly , only Rudeus was not in the summoning list. Rudeus got isekai was because his soul accidnetly sneak in with both of the student when he die on the real world.

Both Rudeus and Syphie reactions were fantastic and completely in character. No kidding both of them have traumatic experiences tied to Nanahoshi.

Well...Shizuka with kanji shouldbe "silent aura/smell" , but "shizu" and "shizuka"also can be spell as silent,so that's also right.
I don't think this is a play on words, but rather that the translation to the new world language didn't convey the original name as it was but as the meaning of the words in the new language.
Like someone named "Hunter" being called "Jaeger" in Germany instead of the original name.
@@MadaraUchihaSecondRikudo it's definitely a play on words. Shizuka couldnt use her name so she just broke it down and translated it to words that exist in the language. It's like if your name was Grayson and you translated it to "Hijo Gris" the spanish words for Gray Son.

Basically you are now experiencing two kinds of isekai in Mushoku Tensei in this episode. One is reincarnation with Rudeus, enjoying that magical fantasy and it's inhabitants. Another is teleportation with Nanahoshi, with nothing and cannot use magic, hated this world and wanted to get out as soon as possible.

Shlphie’s reaction is justified tbh. The teleportation incident was a mass disaster. A Fuckton of ppl died including Sylphiie’s parents. Most ppl would probably attack the girl in that world if they found out she caused it
She lost her mom and dad and lost touch with the boy she liked and his friendly family. Eris would straight up flash step decapitate her if she was there.

Yeah there is nothing in her reaction that is Sylphie specific. Literally all of the country suddenly found their lives flipped 18000 degrees as they were dropped on a random plains, city, battlefield, monster nest or active forest fire somewhere in the world.

Sylphie's reaction was normal. She just found out the person she was talking to was the responsible for thousands of disappearances and deaths, including her parents. People even spawned in the sky or underwater 💀Mask girl is like a magical Oppenheimer or something
Yeah... like, for instance Eris's parents who as I recall got tortured to death or something like that by a hostile country? I forgot how that went down. Then there's the confirmed slavery and what that could imply for fate (confirmed when we meet Paul trying to save enslaved people from the village). And lots of death in general, lots of pain in every regard. And, to top it all of her own parents died because of it too. Clever Nanahoshi for putting on the rings before saying it but, at the same time if she saw it coming should've known to say it in a better way you would think.
It's literally like if a guy who lived in Hiroshima in the 1940s met Oppenheimer face to face.
Rudeus knows that "Fitz" lost people in the teleportation event, they talked about it when they started researching it. That's why he didn't question "his" reaction.
Sylphy's reaction was perfectly reasonable to me. Plus, there were a lot of victim of the disaster so Rudeus wouldn't suspect her.
I love how casually nanahoshi was putting on her ring set as she explained since she already knew how one of them would react

In the manga it was more noticeable but the anime had you so absorbed into their convo that when she did it you were like wait what
Sylphie tried to attack Nanahoshi like that because her parents both died as a result of the teleportation incident, makes sense she was mad as hell at the person who says they caused it
I agree. I am watching a lot of different reactions and channels. I am surprised that many reactors are laughing during this scene.. I don´t understand why... it is very sad because she lost everything (family, friends, home...).

I am suprised that some people have got BIG problems with S2 (E6 and E7). Come on... if you saw S1 you must know that this anime isn´t just comedy but is also dark...
Sylphie's voice actress really went off this episode. That was awesome. And the animation of Nanahoshi blocking Sylphie's attacks were great.
Rudy didn't question Sylphys reaction because she mentioned in the episode 4 or 5 that she lost someone in the mana disaster too.

Those two names that she had on the paper were actually foreshadowed all the way back in episode one.
A news reporter says “1 man is in critical condition, and 2 high school students thought to been hit have gone missing.”
We also see one of the highschool students be completely unaffected. So one of the names she wrote wasn't isekai'd at all and is just straight up left out

Imagine hearing that the person you love suddenly start conversing in a language you've never heard of and suddenly another woman who just suddenly appears, speaks a language that somehow Rudy knows, then say that "Treat it like a hometown language". which doesn't make sense since she is growing up with Rudy all this time, and when she ask both of them to speak the language she understand, they ignore her....
and then this happens 10:18, of course she will burst with all the confusion and emotion flooding make her not think rasionally and made her act the way she did.
this was one of my most anticipated episodes of the season after reading the Light Novel, they handled it really well, i remember freaking out reading it for the first time
I want to see when Rudy goes to the basement at night then meets and talks with the oldman

It was a *_mass_* teleportation disaster. It makes sense that Rudeus wouldn't question Fitz' reaction. There's easily many thousands of other people that were affected that Rudeus will never know. Rudeus is probably thinking that Fitz is just another victim that he only found out about recently, and as all the other comments point out, with an understandable amount of trauma.
I remember Roshi saying in one of the earlier episodes that what Rudy was eating looked like karage, and it turns out it really is karage because Nanahoshi made changes to the school's food menu to suit her tastes more.
fun fact: there was was some Japanese rice dish rudeus ate back in season one that was called nanahoshi style
She set the University menu and uniforms. She 'invented' black boards. She's independently wealthy from a bunch of stuff like that she created to improve her life there.
The name 'Silent Sevenstar' is a bit of a pun too, because it's literally her name in the Human God language.

Asian cultures sure love the boastful names. My Chines is name can be read as Hero who is better than perfect of the kingdom of Zhu. or Hero who is better than perfect and of vermillion. My wife's something about the purity of the color red/vermillion as well. A friend is something about infinitely tranquil and wise, she is a loud tsundere.
Fun fact, nanaoshi asks rudeus if hes européen or mixed because of his New appearance (White with green eyes and blond haïr) and the fact he speaks fluent japanese. She assumed that was His original appearance back on Earth too since she didnt know réincarnation was a thing
This episode was so dope gave us a little exposition about the mass teleportation and the fact there are more isekai people besides Rudy was awesome to find out 💯🔥

Heck, Rudeus and Eris literally got transported to the other side of the world on the most lethal continent ever. They'd have died in days without Best Dad.
Sylphie lost her parents too I believe. Because they didn't explain it properly far as she understood Nanahoshi just confessed to being responsible for the deaths of her parents and tens of thousands of others. Not to mention the number of people who'd die from having their houses destroyed.
Nanahoshi is literally that guy that starts flame wars and blocks everyone right after🤣

The thing is the teleportation incident affected a big part of Asura Kingdom. So even with Fitz reaction it will be hard dor Rudeus to get hint from it
Sylphy was using the “I can’t because Princess” as an excuse. She’s afraid he wouldn’t recognize/remember her even if he saw her face and even if she straight up said who she was.
Fitz said before that "he" also lost some people because of the teleportation incident so him flipping out there would have made sense regardless.
What’s really crazy is that the big brain anime onlys probably figured it out in episode 21. Somebody who has a Japanese name is traveling with Orsted, who is supposed to inspire immense fear in everyone around him. We had pretty much everything we needed to figure out she came from Rudeus’s world too back then
Honestly even waay back in like episode 1 or 2 it hinted at it with the reporter saying how "one died with two missing"

Rudeus didn´t find "Fitz" reaction weird because a LOT of people were afected by the teleportation. And the mangod didn't brought Rudeus to that world.
Slyphiette's anger was justified, both her parents were killed because of that mass teleportation, even Eris's parents were teleported in the middle of a war,
I like how character reaction in this anime feels "real".. most anime fails to do this
i just realized the gap between Rudeus and Nanahoshi summoning is exactly 10 years. because the teleporting accident happened after Rudeus 10th birthday party.
Gotta remember the teleportation event effected tons of people so fits flipping out isn't out of pocket rudy could've thought fits was some other random person that got effected too
Sylphie reacting that way to what Nanahoshi said wouldn't be a red flag for Rudy to notice anything weird, he knows that the teleportation incident took many things from people and when Sylphie got emotional there she even said her mom and dad were gone because of it. I would've reacted the same way too

Im so happy this studio is only focusing on adapting this singular series, it truly shows that they take their time and passion to make this as good as they possibly can, this is one of the only animes that made the world in it feel real

@@Ladiusmann apparently multiple animators from alot of different studios merged together into makin the current studio thats adapting mushoku tensei and they've made this studio entirely for adapting this series is what i heard
@LowkeyKsoga Yes while the focus is on MT, it doesn't mean the studio isn't going to make any other anime, which they did with one called Onimai
Im not sure if yall understand Sylphy's reaction to the teleportation thing at all, that reacting was very much in character, especially with everything that has happened. If Rudeus was the one who suddenly got that information prior to hearing Nanahoshi explain her situation he would most definitely react the same way.
Lupa is dead on when he said, "It's on sight." with Orsted and Hitogami. The Dragon God War literally explains it but it's just Lupa borrowing from the Sheeragan. LOL but it adds even more context when Nanahoshi and "Fitz" go at it.
I mean, imagine getting teleported 1-5 km up in the sky and barely surviving, while knowing several other people died or got sent to somewhere horrifying (Demon country for example). That’s traumatic. Obviously she would get angry

Guys, the teleportation incident affected a whole country of people. Rudy already knows from a past episode that Fitz was affected by the incident. It's in no way a hint to him that it is actually Sylphy.
+ She has a lot of bodies under her belt and people know it (this wasn't mentioned in the anime) so she was ready to body Nanahoshi. That's probably why she put on the rings. She knew Fitz is dangerous.
Yup, Fitz has killed a bunch of people as Ariel's bodyguard, thats a big difference between Sylphie and current Rudy, who still hasn't killed anyone yet, which is a big plot point going forward

the "godsend" thing is bc thats not a normal phrase for that world, it's a normal phrase for our world so silent mask was caught by surprise
Everything in this episode was great, the plot, the language change, the ost. I honestly love this anime
I think it makes sense Rudy isn't suspicious, because a wide spectrum of people were effected by the mass teleportation. It wasn't until episodes later after it happened we learned that Eris' family was effected as well.
Basically in Isekai stories there are two methods to get isekaid to another world one is reincarnation and the other is summoning, but the catalyst is still the same which is Truck-kun. As for Nanahoshi's summoner it will only get revealed at the epilogue of Mushoku tensei because Rudy's entire life story is basically a huge prologue to the real hero's story...
Might wanna calm down with potential spoilers, man. Let people enjoy the ride without you ruining the ending or overall plotline.

Im actually kinda shocked at how many people forgot about Nanahoshi😅😂, idk maybe its just me, but I thought her brief apperance was actually quite memorable given the events that unfolded alongside it, regardless though, great reaction yall! ❤❤
If you guys rewatch the first episode the news is saying 2 students are missing. Her and one of the ones she is asking Rudeus. The third one was being treated but was out of danger. So the ones that got isekaid was Rudeus, her and one other student!

Note on last week Rudeus blowing Badigadi's torso off. In the setting everyone had mana, man can use it to cloak their body in a protective shield/battle aura and use it to move with super human speed and strength. It's why women fight on par physically with men. Badigadi can use it like that and is super hard. Few people alive could hurt him with magic or normal weapons. He is immortal with has fast regeneration on top of that. He wanted to experience the attach that scratched Orsted to measure his battle aura against Orsteds. It ripped him apart, Orsted is on another level from Badigadi.

The moment I saw the girls mask I automatically knew who it was! Anyone that heard that she caused the mass disaster would have acted the same; so Shlphie's reaction was perfectly normal.

Edit : One of sylphie parents died in the teleportation accident. I think it was subtly shown when Rudy checked the survivor board at the end of the last season. I don’t know about the mother. That’s another reason why she reacted like that.
