1. The light novel told more about the city of Lapan. The city is located on the remains of a hippopotamus' devotion (in the last episode, "The Great White Thing", which took place in the background). He was killed by the God of the North, Kalman 2, and his comrades (the God of the North ranks 7th in the list of 7 world powers).
2. The bodies of the hippopotamus were devoured by large ants, because of this they multiplied greatly and dug many holes, then they died because there was no more food. Because of this, the first levels of the maze look like tunnels.
3. Season 1 Episode 13 Roxy’s dream: “I’ll wait for fate. One day I will be rescued from the depths of the dungeon. He will be a tall and courageous fellow! But at the same time, his face is still quite young...” .
4. In the anime, Rudeus is shorter, but in the light novel he and Paul are the same height.

I suggest a quick rewatch of Season 1 episode 13 at about the 9 minute mark. It's where Roxy describes her dream guy. It's a really interesting bit of foreshadowing for what we just watched.

Roxy's rescue was told from her perspective, she was traped on a cicle
Wake up drink whater eat poisonus monster meat, spend precious mana in detox magic try to escape, get lost in all the teleportation cyrcles, get atacked, repell the wave, retreat, rest to recover mana sleep wake up again and the cicle continues.
She was in a very bad place emotionally mentally and phisicly, she cud bearly get any sleep and lost a bunch of weight her Liffe flashed before her eyes.
Most of what we know about Roxy's past from the novels came from that flashback.

You can just imagine her relief when she was saved by a dashing young mage straight out of her maiden fantasies.

With those details this much better explains how Roxy survived a month in a Labyrinth, which she sure did go through hell to survive.
It sounds like Roxy's wish was almost too good to be true, the way she always imagined it and it actually happened. However, I'm sure she never predicted how horrible the experience leading up to that moment would be.

Elinalise despite using a Sword she does not use any of the 3 sword styles, she uses her own self tought style of rapier and shield.
In mushoku tensei terms she is a "warrior" not a swordsman.
She is arrownd advance lvl in terms of strenght tho.
Paul... hard to say, he is advance in all 3 sword styles and is an experience fighter, he shud be as strong as a North or water saint, but not as strong as a Sword saint... the sword of light is just that broken.

Paul's short-sword cuts things better the harder they are. he got it in a market for dirt cheap because it couldn't cut through dried meat.
Hope you read There is very nice lore the writer had wriiten about the laybrith and how it is formed not like just spawned like other anime you remember the giant beast skeleton and the same beast shown in previous episodes a long time ago one of that beast become berserk and the north god --------- had slain the gigantic beast alone. Once the beast fell the desert ants the monster skipped in anime just c rank monster but numbers in million found the way to the dead body and it become their feeding ground much like real ants they started forming colonies deeper and deeper ants got mutated some new monster migrates to these tunnels hence making them a labrith then a town was build upon them by people who wants to conquer them which resulted in laybrith city called rappan/lappan we know of today
Love the lore and concept behind the Labyrinth City. So labyrinths were formed by these monsters expanding their population when feasting on the great monster and then dug tunnels to form the labyrinths.
I take it those ant like creatures we saw in the anime were the species that feasted on the behemoth.

1. This episode was better than expected absolutely loved the interactions between Paul and Rudy you can really see the positive effects their fight from season 1 had, last time he was in a seemingly hopeless situation he looked way worse so nice growth for Paul
2. I knew Rudy was going too save Roxy from what she said last season but I was still surprised when I heard she got seperated, and the rescue was great can't wait for their romance to blossom Rudy bout too return to sylphy with a 2nd wife hopefully it works out for him but a happy ending for this arc seems far fetched
I like how Paul never scolded Rudeus for leaving Aisha and Norn up in Ranoa and trusted Rudeus had someone watching over them. Paul really treated Rudeus like an adult and is prideful of his son who he respects and can depend on.
Based on the foreshadow it certainly seems love will blossom, but I'm unsure if Rudeus will be willing to cheat on Slyphie seeing how he told the Man-God he doesn't intend to!
@@LykesonRose Sylphy seems ok with Rudy being with other women as long as he doesn't leave her and while Rudy wouldn't do it with random women I can definitely see him make an exception for his goddess Roxy and probably Eris but it's hard to imagine them getting together after what happened
@@profiesx I would say we just need to see how the relationship between Roxy and Rudeus plays out first. Rudeus and Eris will likely be on bad terms with how their departure was
@@LykesonRose well eris does scream on top of her lungs that she loves rudeus when they leave in the final episode on season 1. I'm fairly sure she doesn't know what effect her leaving had on rudy.
Hopefully there will be episode 0 or something focusing on Eris. Some very important characters are with her in the sword sanctum.
11 years and 42 episodes since Rudy has not seen Roxy, a very emotional reunion, if I'm not mistaken Roxy's PoV was about what she went through the whole month she was lost in the labyrinth.

Yeah the plot of this episode was entirely foreshadowed by Roxy's line in S1 ep13 where she tells Elinalise about her ideal man being a handsome guy saving her when she's trapped in a labyrinth... quite the foreshadowing huh. And of course that guy has to be our boy Rudy.
See, even Geese took a couple seconds to recognize Rudeus. Roxy is now in an extremely exhausted mental state, and the last time she saw Rudeus was 11 years ago when he was a pervy 5 year old kid. In no way she is able to recognize who this handsome guy who just saved her life is 😅 Gonna have some fun first interactions between them next episode
I predict she will stumble over and Rudeus will help her to her feet. She will awkwardly stare at the man who just saved her. The first she notices is how "handsome" he is and then notice the rat tail (which will be the give away).
She will be speechless that it's Rudeus!

I think this episode confirms that man god isn’t a good god at all, he wanted Rudy to let all of these people die just to spawn a new kid w the beast girls
Last one. Fun fact the spell Rudy used at the end Roxy thought it was the emporer water spell 'Absolute Zero'! (Last we saw rudy could uae saint level one which is culonombus)
But ill leave it for next week as it may cover that.
10/10 spell! I don't think we've ever seen a point where Rudeus went all out other than the time he fought Orsted.
If I was a betting man I'd say Rudeus is above a saint in terms of magic.
@@LykesonRose I doubt they'll have Roxy mention it next week because this ended a couple of pages before the end of the chapter where she thinks that.
It's the same cut dialogue with the principal. Where only a king level spell and above can hurt demon kings (like badigadi) and Rudy's destroyed the body of Badi, ye he regenerated but still that was emporer level stuff. Rudy asked if he could call himself a earth emporer mags but the principal said technically could but would not be looking good as you have to master the spell at that level to be considered a true mage of that level.
@@LykesonRose rudeus can alter spells unlike most people. He casted frost nova but he extended its range and power by expending a great deal of mana. It basically transformed a simple crowd control spell into instant death ice statue magic. Which as mentioned is imperial tier magic normally.
Imperial tier magic is usually achieved by casting two similar spells and combining them into one. It requires deep understanding of elements to achieve. Which Rudeus can cheat because he got education at a japanese high school.

I think we still have to keep in mind that Man God still told us "Rudy will regret" if he makes this trip. Since he wouldn't lie to us, right?
If any, things are just going too well at this point. Rudy made a 2 year round trip into within 4 months, they safely got to Rapan and meet up with everyone, just happened to bring the exact book that serves as the map to labyrinth they are trying to go through, and at the very last second he successfully saved Roxy from dying in the dungeon.
If any, it looks like if Rudy didn't make the trip, Roxy is already dead by now. Yet there's still something he will regret if he makes the trip? Mind you, according to Man God's word, this "regret" should only happen if Rudy comes and won't happen if he doesn't. What could this regret be?
I have three predictions lined up and this will be one of the talking points. There could a scenario where the Man God lied and there will be no actual regret Rudeus faces after the journey, but instead maybe the Man God wanted Roxy dead?
@@LykesonRose Those are some very interesting directions to think towards! I would like to add on that, if it weren't obvious enough, the Man God can see the future. If he wants to kill someone very badly, the reason behind it may not be something that's directly in front of us, rather something far in the future that will happen due to this person's existence.
Oh and I think it should be obvious, the reason everyone says the opening is full of spoilers is because there's a whole animated action scene of the current squad in the Teleportation Labyrinth. I suppose it should be safe to watch the opening after 2 weeks later to avoid any more spoilers from the opening.

@@LykesonRose Oh it's honestly not that crazy regarding anime opening standards. Most anime opening likes to do that, put small bits of what's covering the whole story in the opening. That time I was watching Date a Live Season4 and I saw one frame in the OP that serves as a Season 5 spoilers. Mind boggling. But in most cases they will do it in a way that anime only will not get what they are spoiling.
The issue of the current opening of S2 is that it totally tells you "Rudy and Elinalise are going to the teleportation labyrinth and fight some crazy shit in there with Paul and his gang" which takes away the tension of Rudy deciding if he's saving his mom or not, because the opening totally tells you that's happening.
One reason people thought MT did well with their intros in S1 is that they totally spoil nothing in it. The OP in S2 cour1 (great song BTW) also did a fairly good job to prevent spoilers, as you basically were already shown all the students before you even first see the OP, yet the OP totally shows nothing about Fitz or Sylphie, so you wouldn't know they will get married so soon.
@@LykesonRose Forgot to say, when you actually react to the opening, you will want to stop it frame by frame, they really put a bunch of small details of every episode in this season, but everything just flashes past so fast and so quick. The whole action animation is really good, overall I personally think it's a great opening, the only issue is it's too much spoilers.

So far this is one of my favorite fighting forms (that I've seen).
North God style is the most realistic fighting style
Espada y Daga is a fighting style using a sword and a parrying dagger
@@ricomambozero3811 yeah they literally using anything for their fight. For Sword God Style, and Water God Style is more like Martial Art and they have to adapted to a real fight. Because learning Martial Art it doesn't mean you can fight on the field.
They cut roxy scene. Where a chapter covers how she survived the month. She faught her way to a tp point thwre were 2 on the floor ahead guarded by monsters. She got there and found a safe point where nothing spawns. She rhen rested went through again trgito get back but only ro find more monsters and finding herself back to the safe area. Repeated over and over. Eating monster flesh if i remember. Was such a good chapter.

When said he's very useful and is prife and joy ita because he brought the scrolls for lamplight spirits nanahoshi gave him, before they had ti use flamed torches. And limifed their movements and battle this way they can summon the spirits to see instead. He took them and one of the 2 girls thatvstayed behind made copies of it for them to use. That way they had a lot more on hand.

@@firepix86 doubt it, as they already got to the rescue part. As in the books it cut to her and we didn't know Rudy just looked at a wall. She may mention what spell she thought he used but low chance. But they better not skip that one Line from Paul.

The 2nd sword we saw is Pails original sword in the village the othwr is a new one. He got it off a guy in the town near the labarynth. The guy tried to cut bread with it but it wouldn't cut. But then why can Paul use it to cut down monsters? Its a magical item. Its sharpness changes spending on what it is used on, its a suoer rare and lucky item ti have. You get magic items from labarynths as wheb people die in there the mana flows through the labarynth and goes through items dropped by adventures. The abilities on them are completely random. You can have a sword that when you hit it against something its becomes like rubber. Or a cloak that when you channel mana into jt it sets you on fire. But his sword becomes sharper as the toughness of what its used on goes up. So it's basically a rare and useful one.

Paul just desperate just like last time, but the different he's not drunk and his hair not messy. He learn alot from the last fight with Rudy.
It's like he's resorting back to the time where he failed to save anyone from his family despite extensive efforts and he drank himself into the depths of despair. Luckily Rudeus came when he did. Who knows what may have happened 6 months from now.

He still does look very young, but again he's still 16. I assume when he turns 18 they will change his appearance or at least make him look older.

@@LykesonRose In the LN the changed his appereance in volume 10. So it's super jarring to see them use the child version. We had like 4 different scenes where people basically low key either compliment or hit on him.
Alao some dialogue change for the international version for subtitles. Muse Asia and crunchyroll has different subtitles when paul talked with rudy about wanted to ralk about it in the other translation he says "ive always wanted to talk to him about this" its a lot different to "talk about it the once"
Little difference in language but huge difference in how Paul sees things. Although youll have to use a VPN to watch the episodes on there for alternative translations its more accurate. And paul says "youve done it then" instead of "you've become a man"
Naw those translations aren't good imo, you can compare for reference but on the whole the one he watches is better.
@@dopeman4ever I liked the muse Asia translation myself. It's more accurate to the book if I remember. Plus Paul speaks that way more. He wouldn't hide what he means like that

At the time I never fathomed the thought because I never expected the time skip where Rudeus actually became a man. I'll need to go back and watch that scene!
