Since I forgot to say this in the video... HAPPY PEAK FICTION SUNDAY!!!
Moving forward I will be electing to NOT watch the new PV trailer that was released due to the increase amount of spoilers shown in them....
However for Turning Point 3 all I can say is that I'm ready for endless possible routes the story can now take with the new direction Rudy's life will be going in! I'll be getting a new prediction video ready within the upcoming week!
Also I'm currently listening to a compilation of all the Season 1 openings songs and I forgot how badly I miss the S1 openings...

This Turning Point may not be as dramatic and thrilling as the previous 2. But this one will definitely be the most impactful one so far.

The previous Turning Points were flashy and really memorable. Though this one may seem tame, some should remember that the TPs give a significant change in Rudeus' life in the episodes after it. Excited to see how the 2nd half of the cour will remind people of why it's peak storytelling.
I can't deny compared to the previous two turning points this one was the least flashy and hard hitting (at least in the episode). Still though, I'm excited to see Rudeus back out in the world of MT since he's been stationary for so long.
@@LykesonRose definitely although the true turning point in this was "trouble rescuing Zenith - requesting support" and it was a emergency quick letter that's way more expensive than the ordinary letter. But it also has to be very short. It gets there quicker than normal but at the cost of few words you have to pick them carefully
I hope you can now see bits of why norn is my favourite character in the story.
1. She is strong willed, she managed to pull herself out of her room, out of there and move on and try again - the thing rudy could not do.
2. Her resilience (i think the word is), she knows she is weak as hell but Shes clumsy and fragile, but yet she still tried to sneak out to go help her dad save her mother, despite the little help she would give, and that's if she would survive she journey.
And so much more that youll see moving in with the story.
Food for thought, the PV DID NOT spoil Turning Point 3. His trip may be a consequence of Turning Point 3, but it isn`t the point itself. Mind you, the Turning Points refer to something in-universe. They do not refer to his story though.

4:25 In S2 ep9 Nanahoshi mentioned that a specific summoning magic expert (Not Orsted) taught her how to draw magic circles.
This person was the person who suggested to her that her summoning was what caused the mana disaster.
On the other hand she needs to keep this person's identity a secret.
Of course we know it won't always be a secret, it really just depends on when Nanahoshi wants to open up with Rudy.
Thanks for this! It saves me time from going back through to try and find the specific scene. So as of now, we have no idea who this person is. I think we can assume the person used summoning magic to bring someone into the MT world and it went wrong which caused the mana disaster (I could be wrong).
I take it, it depends on how Rudeus will respond to finding out who caused the Mana Disaster.

As far as the author is concerned, the "Zenith rescue difficult" mail is the start of Turning Point 3.
Yes, the previous time Man God showed up, he advised Rudy to not save his mom and go to Ranoa instead.
In S2 ep4, Rudy got both info about the location of Zenith (brought by Elinalise) and the admission letter from Ranoa the same time. He initially wanted to go save his mom and ignore the university, but Man God changed his mind. As a result Elinalise went to the university with him. Elinalise was Paul and Zenith's ex party member, by every means she has the most reason to actually go and help them, to the point she is heavily considering to break up with Cliff just for this reason.
Theoretically, if Rudy didn't go to the university, he would arrive at Begaritt around the time when Geese will send out this letter, and miss out everything he's had in this whole season until now.
It really makes you wonder "why the Man God doesn't want Rudy to go there at the first place". I do want to point out, you can't regret on something "you don't know you will miss out" so it makes no sense to say he will regret missing out this school life if he didn't come here.
Elinelise also isn't a fan of Paul, she was only going there without Rudy for his and sylphie sake, if we're up to her shed never want to see Paul again
These will be a few points I will be touching on with my next episode prediction. The biggest question so far is "Why does the Man God NOT want Rudy to go the Begaritt continent?" I will speculate a few theories surrounding that as well as what the next steps are for Rudy's journey.

As far as the author is concerned, not exactly, but I can't really say why or what is, until REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED happens.
This is a very interesting Turning Point because it's not over. Imagine turning point 3 is a turning point spanning this episode to the end of the cour (the 4th will be even longer).
This makes me both excited and nervous being how TP3 definitely shifted the story with Rudeus leaving his family, but wasn't as flashy or impactful as the other two.
Now I feel like I will need to be on the edge of my seat for every episode!
1:26 Ruijerd can gain the trust of those around him by shaving his head, but the fear of green-haired demons is still rooted worldwide. Remember how Sylpfie was bullied when she was a kid? and she wasn't even a Superd.
It's still not safe to watch the OP, but at least you can hear the music if you want, when Norn hugged Rudy in the last ep. a very beautiful OST of the OP piano version was played.

10:05 Yeah, in cour 1 Hitogami told Rudeus that he would regret going to Begaritt, instead he should go to Ranoa where he would cure his manhood right after he met with Elinalise and gave him the news about Roxy and Paul.
I can't help but feel sorry for Elinalise, she feels 'dirty' and unworthy of someone as virtuous as Cliff.

The real TP is to ignore Man-God for the first time.
We'll see what's going to happen, the uncertainty persists. Unfortunately next week there is no episode, but one suspects a reason for it, just let them cook (Bind).

To be transparent I did listen to full song when it came out and I am a fan. I think I prefer this one over Spiral Longman.

That letter was the turning point. What was written on the letter was the last words of the turning point 3 chapter.
Its different but i cant believe how spot on you were in one of your predictions.
I feel like the story in the anime built up to a shifting moment, but also the small spoiler I got in the PV also hinted at Zenith's rescue being difficult so I also had that image in my mind when making them.
For these upcoming predictions I'll be avoiding the PV's!
Yes it is a turning point to receive that letter, just as in the second ... Orsted defeating everyone, triggered the future events that led Eris to rethink that she is not at Rudeus' level and if she does not become stronger she will see him die again, likewise this starting point of taking action with this letter, changed the quiet life that everyone in the school was leading up to that moment. No more bros, no more mentor, no more research partner, no more pack leader, no more loving brother, no more husband and father, until he can solve that big problem.
I think the thing that could disappoint some people from this TP is that they may have misunderstood what they really are.
To my understanding the Turning Points are trigger events which leds to drastic changes to Rudy's life and MT's world but the interesting part story-wise are not this trigger events themselves but everything around them. It's not about how astonishingis the event but how much you have to change the path of your life because of that event.
Rudeus was reincarneted as the son of two S-rank adventurers in a magic world, thanks to his previous knowledge from his past life he showed talent from an early age which led to meet his teacher (crush #1) Roxy. Roxy then would suggest him to go to Ranoa Univesity and when he met Sylphie (crush #2) he made to go there with Sylphie as his objective. To pursue this objective he started to work under Eris (crush #3) and moved away from the hometown village to a bigger city, most generic isekai thing ever.
If this went on Rudy would have made enough money to go to Ranoa University and he would have to choose whether stay with Eris or go back to Sylphie. That's how his life was going but then TP1 happened.
The trigger of TP1 was Nanaoshi's summoning (if we take her theory as certain) but that's not what shocked everyone and what changed Rudy's life, the conseguences were the
climax of the story: being teletransported to the Demon Continent with Eris, meeting the Man-God, meeting Rujerd, his family situation and so on that's what really moved the story forward, made Rudy actually grow as a person and changed his life to a whole different direction.
The same was with TP2, the trigger was the encounter and death against Orsted but again what moved the story forward were the consequences. Rudy in the end still survived and accomplished his objective to return home, or what's left of it, with Eris but if not for the TP2 Rudy would be full of confidence and Eris probably wouldn't have left him and all of S2 would have happened in a total different way.
In this TP3 the trigger i guess is Geese's letter forcing Rudy to choose if staying with his wife or going to save his mother and while it may not be astonishing as event everything
that it will cause down the line probably will be. Rudy at this point was focusing on having a simple married life and be a good father and yet his life path took a totally different turn, we just have to wait to see how it changes.
Honestly Id be happy if they delayed the release of s2 by 6 months just to reimplement the s1 openings. They did such a good job of doing "subtle" world building from the novels / new details implemented for the anime.
What don't ppl get how do you world build when we're in the same place it made sense in S1 cause we were moving around alot
I understand why they changed it to this style, this way people get to listen to the OP and not get huge spoilers like s2 part 1. That way it can get more attention

This was one of the main reasons I enjoyed watching MT so much (world building aspect). Since Rudeus has been in the same place for so long I can see why the studio stopped doing it, however I feel like they could have implemented the old school intro styles for at least 2 episodes showing the school of Ranoa and the surrounding area.
@@LykesonRose there's not much in the surrounding area tbh, just the forest where Rudy and sylphie unraveled the fits secret.
And then it's just the school which you see the most of while Rudy walks with the principal. They did cut out that the bricks of the school are all magic resistant, so that magic attacks practiced by students or most attackers won't damage the walls. Although when Rudy fought Fitts not only did his rock bullet escape the mana circle that stops magic spells leaving it, but it wedged itself deep into the bricks.
If i remember right the bricks can withstand saint level spells

This turning point is more akin to the first one, as in the first, the mana disaster happened at the end of the episode, and it was only in the following episode that the journey began, and it was the events of that journey that marked turning point 1 as so impactful, not the event itself, as it was with tp 2, with the encounter with Orsted. Enjoy that the next episodes are going to be amazing!
Just an addition to say that turning point 4 is the best and one of the greatest events in all Japanese works, Mushoku just keeps getting better! PEAK.

@@LykesonRose I hope people wouldn't mention about 4 as well it's nice not to know of future ones, but ye can't be helped. I do have stuff ready to say per bit of the story if stuff is cut or not shown fully that's not gonna be shown/not likely to be shown again
Turning point 1 should have been the episode where Rudeus gets kicked out by Paul to teach Eris.
TP 2 should have been the episode where they get teleported.
TP 3 should have been the episode where Eris left.
And this episode should have been TP 4.
That way, the true intentions behind the TP episodes would have been clearer and the viewer would have a clearer understanding of what to expect.

To answer your question, I don't see it likely happening again this point in the story. Now since Rudeus will be down in the Begaritt continent, it will at least be 2 years before he's able to see his family up in Ranoa again. If another Mana Disaster happen and only effected the Ranoa Kingdom, Rudy would hear about it through another traveler or in the adventures guild. There could be a chance one of his family members teleports close to him explaining the situation, but again I don't see it going that route.

@@djmuldrow4376 Depending on the direction Rudeus will now go in, they will focus his time on his travels to Begaritt, but that doesn't mean other things aren't going on in the world of MT.
When the mana disaster happened, we saw Rudeus travel with Eris and Ruijerd and the tone for the most part was exciting and adventurous, filled with some suspense. However for Paul, that was a different story. Every day he diminished further and further down a hopeless path because of amount of effort he put in trying to save those who had been harmed by the Mana Disaster.
If something were to happen in Ranoa we likely won't know about for quite some time, until Rudeus does. If they go that route.
It's a good thought though. I may use that concept in later predictions!

the light novels are more detailed with the strands of hair showing where his rat tail starts, you deffs suit his fringe but!

3:10 unfortunately this didn't translate well. The word Aisha uses here is used pretty exclusively for romantic love (Japanese doesn't really have a good word for familial love in the first place) and that's why Rudy had that reaction.
Yeah Aisha has the habit of normally flirting with Rudeus in daily life because her mother totally taught her to do that.
She actually has several cut lines of that such in the previous two episodes.
In many ways she has a huge brother complex, but Rudeus don't have any interest in her understanding she's his sister.
They even sometimes bathe or sleep together and Rudeus doesn't have any second thought of it, it's really very one sided.

Turning Point 3 is 2 things, one is Sylphie's pregnancy and the major event being Rudy no following Hitogami's order/advice for the first time ever. What follows now is still part of TP 3 and when this next arc concludes we'll be in the aftermath. Essentially this is the prologue or the "Turning Point 3 arc".
I like the idea of a "Turning Point 3 Arc". I never expected for that to be an outcome given the last two were just contained within a single episode.
Now I have to be on the edge of my seat for the entire rest of the cour...

Ye to get more fans they made it into this style as that way people have something to watch rather than getting spoiled with world lore in the old style which spoils where they are in each episode. Although they did a bad and spoiled the show in this opening sequence
I dont know why this anime has no OVA there are so many things missed from manga I don't think the bankruptcy of the company is the reason for not releasing the OVA
