Wanted to show you guys how to start coding any Color you may want onto a BMW G series. Did this on my 2021 BMW 330i.
Below are the websites you will need:

You're a legend mate! Just finished coding and changing the Bronze to red, and the Lilac to the pink colour you custom made. Never ever coded my E90 or F30, but took a go this afternoon with my G20 and was easy thanks to your instructions. Thanks from LDN, UK

Great video, it does show you the hexadecimal on your color screen just to the right of the color. So you don't need to convert it on a separate page. I can't wait to try this out!! Thanks

Awesome video! I have a F45 and in my idrive I only have 2 colour to select from :( sport white and classic bronze .... is it possible to add more colours here or only replace these existing two? Would like to add more rather than replace

Been waiting on you to share this. I’ll try to code couple this week following your steps. What percentage did you do on that tint by the way? When I got mine couple months ago that was the first thing I did lol. Went with ceramic tint 35% and I like it. Didn’t wanted to be too dark but it definitely helps with the sunny days.

As for the tint, I was going to go with 35% as well but when I went to the shop I made a last minute decision to go with 18% in the back and 50% (or 55%??) in the front. It’s illegal here in California to tint the front windows so tried to keep it less obvious. But overall it definitely helps keep the car cooler.

Thank you for the video, I followed these instructions verbatim on a 2022 M8 Coupe and it didn’t work as described… EXACT same values to change “Bronze” to a “Red” and Lilac to a “Deeper Purple”. Now bronze looks no different, but WHITE is now RED and the B&W Speakers are WHITE even though they’re colored “RED” on iDrive. Lilac looks the Same. ANY color w/ White, the White is now RED. Any help or ideas??

Aren’t you annoyed by this feature? Can it be done with bimmercode and could you post a video of how to do it and the sound the engine naturally makes ?

I got a G30 with the illuminated speakers. they are always white illuminated white. is there a way to change this color as well? in iDrive there is no option.

Very nice video, isn't hard at all. So the middle row of each colour bytes is for the footwell? So you can make the combination of 2 colours.
Yes Exactly! Check out the Ambient lighting video I did before and it gives you step by step instructions to set up two colors.
Where do you get the information about what to look for in bimmercode and what parameters to set? Can you help me somehow? I would like to change not only the basic brown color but replace each color with my own
the hexadecimal is already on the web page you are choosing the color from... it's just below the rgb numbers ... no need to go to a converter
How I know which bytes for which color and what the difference between color profiles and color libraries?
I listed the bytes for different colors in the description. Just follow the exact instructions here to get the results.

So you can change the colors of any of the default options to whatever you want but sadly no one has figured out how to change the name of them in Idrive. So when i changed Bronze to equal Red, it still says bronze.

Only the ambient lighting can be changed. Unfortunately the lights on the buttons can’t be changed from Orange.

So what happens when you click pink (which was default bronze) but you click bronze with white? Does it turn to pink and white or does that one need to be coded too?
It will turn to pink with white.

This is one I personally left alone because of the IDrives default color combos of orange/white, blue/white ,lilac/white ect. and didnt want to cause any issues with the color combos ive already coded.

after changing the stock blue to a lighter blue it undid the change from bronze to red. only one color can be changed???
You can change multiple colors, i just only changed bronze because i liked the other colors i had.
@@rearwheeled8147 so changing all the bytes for different colors before coding instead coding one color at the time I guess !?
When you change the bytes i believe It does create a list of your custom changes called “unassigned values” or something along those lines. You may be able to choose that instead of the G20,G21...lichpaket_code1 i believe .
Or you can just do it all at once using the steps I showed if you know what colors you want

When i get it I want to change the bronze but how do you know you are changing the bronze not the other colours?
Because its all based on which bytes you change. The instructions in this video Pretty much Walk you through every step.
@@rearwheeled8147 I read one of the comments that another guy put which makes sense.
So I take it for example
Bytes 18 19 20 are bronze light near the mirror
22 23 24 are the dash and door cards
26 27 28 are the floor lighting
The numbers will not be correct but is that how it works.
That’s how it works but as you said those aren’t the correct bytes . The video description Lists the bytes so feel free to look there.

Noticed that you don’t actually need to use the converter since you can see the converted figures in w3schools website itself in #
On the Specific page of w3schools I was using in this video the numbers were not converted to hexadecimals yet.
Just as an example 255 = the hex “FF.” You would not want type in 255 into Bimmercode because it’s not the correct hexadecimal. You may already know this, just want to clarify for anyone else reading the comments so there is no confusion.

You don´t have to convert nothing. You have the hexadecinal value at the RGB calculator, right after the (#)

Thanks for the video but I have a problem when I code the bronze into other colour I tried to change the orange into light blue. The bronze colour that has been already changed returned into bronze and orange has been changed into light blue. Only one colour can be changed? Or should I change couple of colours and then click coding button? Thanks
Try doing both before pressing “code”

Unfortunately not, this is for 2019 and up that came equipped with ambient lighting .

That’s correct, your car has the capability to have Orange and some come with white Lighting, but no other colors can be coded. 2019 and up have more color options.

Is it possible to code the dash, door strip and footwell lighting all different colors at the same time?
Dash and door will always have to remain the same color, but you can change the footwell as the video shows
Actually, your color creator showed u the hex code for the color, no need to recalculate them!
Think you may be getting confused because you’re seeing the numbers. For example when I put red fully up to 255 , the hex does not equal 255, it equals FF. A calculator will be needed to determine the other numbers.
