Hi Shezi, I go F15 model 2014 imported from US without Ambient Lighting. Lets assume that I will get used OEM Ambient lighting, is there anyway to add it to the I-Drive as i don't have that option either ! Please also feel free to recommend any other suitable solution because i really need to install them in my car. I bought the car as second hgand. @mathew caruana - what series do you have and what dongle are you using? Do you have ambient lighting option in idrive? If so than check for 3070 module as well, it might be in there
Tried to change the standard orange blue white colors with bimmercode/veepak solution. Changed the ensemble 4 all layers r/g/b-s to gruen. When tried to code it after 0%it said error in coding. Tried several times. Is it possible that it absolutely not working on mine?
@andras simonfai - what car ? Are u coding one layer at a time? Did you try to dump your logs/traces to see what error is it giving? Is coding failed, connection issue, car going to sleep?
@@SheziMotorsport it's an F15 2015. I didn't make log, but made as you suggested, 1 layer (all 3 parts RGB) at a time. When ready pressed the code button accepting the note it starts with 0% and nearly immediately says error coding. Tried several times, same issue. Other coding (double horn when engine running and closing vehicle turn off) was successful with bimmercode.

hey man, using this method would i be able to change the lighting of the console from orange to white at night time?? the ambient lighting is cool, but at night, the whole console is orange and really does not mesh well with the different ambient colors at all.
@hamza Azam - this is for ambient lighting, what you are referring to is instrumental panel.. since it's white during the day, I think it can remain white during night but would require expert mode coding, I believe.

@Teletubby Po - yes, you would have figure out what the cookie option for red be.. example what RGB is for red and than code it that way.. On all three layers within reach ensemble group.

@Shezi I've coded my ambient lighting already and happy with it, but, I've see these lights (layer 1-3) showing much brighter than what mine show. I've coded it to decouple the ambient lighting from the instrument cluster as I was told to do so to see the ambient light up brighter, but no luck. Do you know how to make them brighter??? Also, I too would love to have my instrument cluster to remain white at night. Any knowledge on how to code that? @zeyad Ali - thank you and appreciate the kind words.. yes you can decouple and you could sort of make it brighter with choosing the right color combination and also there should be a brightness seeing in idrive right after the color choice.. Keep in mind there is no direct coding to make it brighter. I believe there is coding to make the instrumental stay white, I would have to dig for it. Been looking but haven't found it yet. Will try to find and make a video.

@@SheziMotorsport you need to list what model cars are ACTUALLY CAPABLE of this then because this DOES NOT I repeat DOES NOT work for all Fseries cars, not even all 3 series cars.
@Cazen Trabant - I do stand corrected, but the 4 series only has modern and classic which means you won't be able to do it. If the car wasn't equipped with ambient lighting with different colors you won't be able to do it.

Hi good video thanks, One question: In BMW X3 F25 is FRM the Ecu that control ambient lights (2 colors only), i have seen aftermarket products that adds 9 color (same as F15) using a Ligh module connected parallel to idrive knob (to get can bus signal) that distributed the lights (as bdc or fem does it) using RGB, any idea how to make appear 9 colors in idrive menu for bmw x3 f25?
@abdel palacios - I would have to investigate further on add on module. Not sure if u would be able to add values into idrive as that is in the software. U should be able to change the current two values to different values.. in BDC or fem do u have lcimaster and within those does it have two groups?
Is anyone aware how to code door handle LED’s to stay on for the period you’ve coded welcome lights to stay on for ? (60 seconds). Mine go off after 10-20 max :( can’t find an answer anywhere!! The same for the low beam headlight, can that be coded to stay on for longer with welcome lights? Switches off after 20 seconds and looks silly !

@princee Ahmed - you can literally increase intensity or brightness by coding but if you were to pick the right color combination you could make the brightness somewhat better.. is ur led going bad? With 100% brightness I think brightness is sufficient

@andrei lonut - do you have the app and mobile device. Make sure you have too version than connect using the dongle and launch the bimmercode app and connect.

Where did you get the veepax from and can I use my iPhone plug to connect to app in car ?

Shezi Motorsport yes it was in the BDC i went into expert mode as you said file 3076 was literally a “.” So I chose 3075 and I popped up the same menu as for you but what I would like to know if I could code in the same commands as you did ? @andrei lonut - do you have the app and mobile device. Make sure you have too version than connect using the dongle and launch the bimmercode app and connect.

Also I believe that 5 series have ambient lighting but lesser options, only three I believe..
