after having my 2009 BMW 7 series, I was chilling in the car and discovered this light, on the back of the seats, in the roof, and on the doors. I was impressed. I love it.
Great video on content. For a non-techy fella who is worried about “bricking” a module for fear of doing something stupid, it’s nice that you show how to do it, and that it’s not that scary. BTW, great polished video too.

@thic f30, ive got f01 2012 and for me looks a bit different, i dont have a Front electronic module, ive just a footwell module, and there is just option to set brightness of ambient lighting but i dont have anything about decouping it from instrument cluster.... i do something wrong or i just cant do it in f01?

Hi, I have recently bought a 335d 2018 (U.K). It has the S563 Light Package. The ambient lights are extremely dim, I can barely see the door strip light or the radio/ac trim lights or the footwell lights. The dimmer control next the the light switch is set to max and and iDrive interior ambient light setting is set to max.
It's slightly better on orange than white (black interior). Do you think decoupling the ambient light controls would help?
Could someone have previously coded the ambient brightness lower or is it a case, that as the dimmer and ambient light settings are both on 100% that this is as bright as they can go?
The ambient lights are that dull that at first I didn't know they were even on and that was in the evening/night.

You should press start button 3 times quickly to put can in correct maintenance mode without feet on any peddles . The dash lights etc should be showing but engine not running

so I have the ambient lighting in my car (lights in the doors, etc), but in the Lighting settings, I dont have the "Ambient" option to switch from classic to sport. I recently just installed the lci radio trim and its on blue/white light by default and Id like to turn it to orange. Any idea of how I can code the ability to switch between sport and classic modes?

I've just got an f30. My ambient lighting seems really dim, not noticeable unless I put my hand under the leds. Ambient brightness full, instrument cluster brightness full. Any ideas?
Yea the ambient light is weak.
You can only change this by replacing a part that is located in the door that controls the voltage.
Basically you need more power to get brighter light.

can you code the trunk to close via the key? i can only open mine via the key right now, and would like to close it as well.
The F30 only comes with remote and interior open (button in driver's foot well). However, you can buy a kit that will give you remote open and close capabilities (kit is around $700.00); you will also be able to open and close the trunk from the foot well button.
I have tint. It makes my interior light sensor thinks it’s dark outside. I will pay you if you can walk me through coding that out. Or coding off the sensor and use the dial

Hi can the instrument cluster lights be changed from orange to white ?
Depending on model and options but whilst coding it asks if u want “classic” or sports . That should change the settings to what u want
Is there a way to make the ambient lighting over 100 percent brightness? I still think even at 100 percent brightness isn't enough lol

there's a diy. you add a this 3d plastic piece and it enhances the door ambient lights. cost 60 for all four. a little expensive for me just for some plastic pieces though.
