  • Viva Aguascalientes! If you have been following our journey here in the beautiful country of Mexico, you know that we recently moved to Aguascalientes, Mexico. After living in Queretaro (Santiago de Queretaro) Mexico for over a year (having our temporary residency), and traveling throughout Mexico, we decided that Aguascalientes would be a great home base for us. Today, we walk around the barrio of Las Flores and San Marcos as we finish running an errand at the veterinarian. As always, we share some valuable information today (especially for those of you who have pets) as we learn our way around our new city. This is just the beginning and have so much to learn, and experience as we get acclimated to our new home. As usual, we share our experiences, and what we learn with our valuable viewers. Make sure to check out our video library which includes a plethora of information on how to obtain temporary residency in Mexico, cost of living in Mexico, apartment tours, Mexico travel vlogs, traveling with pets/ necessary documentation, vet costs/ expenses, Queretaro neighborhood tours, and MUCH MORE.

    An Hidrocalido here!
    You should visit La Línea de fuego that's a street market (tianguis) where you can find food, groseries, antiques,...
    Also there is at the main street (Zaragoza) a family which sell typical food from Yucatán. The place is called La Yucateca Bajío.

    Glad you are enjoying your new city. As for respecting a culture that is a difficult question. Where do you draw the line? Should bullfighting be respected because some people in a culture enjoy it? Should female genital mutilation be respected because some people practice it? Should honor killing be respected? Should buying guns and even carrying them in public be respected because some Americans think it is a good idea? It is a good question and will be debated endlessly, probably with no clear answers.

      @@WhyNotNow I hope that you didn't interpret my comments as being critical of you. I would never do that. I like your videos and you both. I was merely having an internal debate about the problem of cultural relativity on a worldwide scale, perhaps because I am reading a book about travelling through India. I wasn't referring to Mexico at all.

    • @WhyNotNow
      @WhyNotNow  2 года назад

      Hi Maria, As you live somewhere, you begin to learn the routines, of the people living in that particular area. Most people work during the day, and come out towards the later part of the evening/night (and definitely on weekends to enjoy time with their families. We've had the opportunity to enjoy this in many different smaller towns, and larger cities in Mexico. In this case, this is a small Neighborhood (Xochimilco) in Oaxaca City and it attracts for/ backpackers because it is considered to be very artsy, and not far from Centro. It livens up at night. Typically, if a place is constantly bustling with people all hours of the day in Mexico, it is usually more of a tourist area If you watched our other video in Centro, of Oaxaca City, you will see this area is different in activity being in the "center". It also attracts/ caters to tourists. ruclips.net/video/imDsggC5-Nk/видео.html

    Thanks for the video guys. That stadium reminds me of the coliseum in Rome! The biggest thing I've noticed about your new home base is how quiet it seems to be on the streets.
