Hey Marc Wizard, I just want to say that you're an amazing player, the way you articulate and phrase the notes are great. Your control is also sound, you're a technically proficient player. Keep it up.
great bass gig dude ,, any one who has not seen your bass lesson on this joint has missed out completly,, best way to show the marcus triplets , puts it all in the bag , its a great gig going on ,,sometimes the hardest things are the easiest once you have seen them ,,
Marcelo, we appreciate the lesson regardless of if it's exactly spot on or not. Every mature musician knows that it doesn't have to be exactly like the song. Heck make your own version and have fun right? I mean shoot to be 100% honest, I've been playing bass since February of this year 2022. I practice this song a lot and the ghost notes stump me but everything else is coming along, slowly but surely and I'm happy with my progress taking bits and pieces from this lesson and breaking it down. Hard but worth it
Excellent lesson those who might complain you didn’t get all of the notes exactly my response to them >>> “There is only one Marcus Miller matter of fact even he would play it differently at a concert venue!! Again an excellent bass Lesson and many Thanks!!
Hello! friend accompany your videos here in Brazil and I have learned a lot from you, even not speaking their lingua.você could post other slap issues like this. thank you!!!
Good job yo. You know what's funny is that I have a MM4/5 and I enjoy the 4 sooooo much more, but when I'm playing a gig with the 4, other bass players ask me if I have a different preamp in my bass and I tell them no it's the stock preamp and most of them can't believe it. I like your stuff bro.
Wait you changed your name?! I only knew you as the bass wizard?! You’re the guy from Disney stuff too right? I miss your trilby hat. Back in the day when one could tip their fedora. I still love you channel. I’m glad you’re alive! You make the bass guitar gods proud!
have you played the Sire Marcus Miller Alder or Ash body bass guitar. and if so how do you compare the Sire Marcus Miller to Fender Marcus Miller bass???
You know, you wouldn’t think this song would be all that hard. But it is VERY hard to keep certain notes from ringing and to get certain notes to ring!
I'm just starting to play bass but when I hold the note with my left hand I'm not getting the sound I'm looking for but when I'm playing open the piucking sound better. Why is that
I would like you to play The Bridge of the song Detroit the whole thing I really like that you're very good teacher could you please add that to the track by Marcus Miller Detroit thank you my name is Bobby

you're the man when it comes to Marcus tunes...great! That flurry of ghost notes 3rd time is his signature stuff, tough to get right. kudos marc.
You are a dope player and teacher. I can learn most lines bur your approach is straight to it. That's what I LOVE!
Dude, you got his bass tone almost to a T!! Wow, nice lesson
Great lesson! Saw Marcus live a while back and blew my mind.

Very nice. Explained it well.
great video! you are awesome at explaining things unlinke most people on youtube.
Thanks a lot for your help! Greetings from Italy!
Great tone and playing. Some teachers have an ultra thin sound. I prefer that deeper tone for slap ... like Marcus.
Nice, and very helpful... Can you do another tutorial on the other parts of this song? Pleas & thank you...

Hey great video! What strings are you using? I love your tone!
C Delany Dunlops or use DR fatbeam
+C Delany Try Elixir and/or Cleartone and you will not get back to regular strings ever again.

Are you using the default pickups and preamp? Your bass sounds different than other MM signature series that I've used before
Great! Can you do a lesson for Mr. Clean/Marcus Miller?
awesome…good job man..and thank you!
It could be possible to add an aditional camera to see the left hand?
You know, you wouldn’t think this song would be all that hard. But it is VERY hard to keep certain notes from ringing and to get certain notes to ring!
so cool it is !
I'm just starting to play bass but when I hold the note with my left hand I'm not getting the sound I'm looking for but when I'm playing open the piucking sound better. Why is that
What amp do you sugguest for practice and small gigs
excellent !!!
Very good!
It's simple. If you thumb can hit the string when going down, why not use it when going back up and pluck the string again?

Those BASSIC pentatonic scale patterns are so much more fun to practice on bass than guitar.
