I'm not sure why this was put on my page... But what the hey?! That bell so reminds me of how bells used to sounds back when I used them when I was young. Very odd to hear it now. The issue I have is that it's a BYD. A Chinese brand that is... erm... lacking... in a lot of quality construction. Now, I'm willing to accept that their commercial arm might be better because it is an export business... But BYD is just a bad brand. You can just google how bad it is. The issue the company may find is that the parts will break oftena nd will cost an arm and a leg to repair/replace... If you can GET parts.

the back of the exterior kinda reminds me of buses that used to run in london, like the mcw metrobus. i kinda like it for that but i agree with how weird the space for the screen is. the front of the exterior is also really weird, like i don't mind it from a front facing view, but at an angle it just looks really weird. at least the interior seems nice for the most part!

Nathan refers to the hard front seat. It's not as wide as the other seats and won't take two people! Quite a nice bus by modern standards, but I dislike the omission of a back window. Some of them have bright destination displays but others are barely readable. In the 20th,century, all buses displayed a full list of 'via' points - not just the number and destination. Being elderly, I grew up with the Routemaster and its predecessor the wonderful RT - which served London from 1939 to 1979 - still by favourite bus of all time.

I stopped driving trains for a living on the Bakerloo line way back in 1995. London Underground were 'Talking' about the same extension then. Thirty years later in 2025 and guess what 😂. Exactly.

Interesting review. I wonder if someone had taken a fact finding trip to Reading Buses when speccing that interior. Some of your favourite features e.g. strip lighting, multiple screens etc have been on our Enviro 400s for many years. Those however all have knackered suspension due to potholes. Like the BYD ceiling vents. Any extra ventilation on a bus is good in my book.

While I appreciate the aesthetics of the outside matter to enthusiasts, most people will spend more time appreciating the outside than looking at the outside as it pulls up to their stop 😂
