This painting ended up being a little bit of a self portrait! I guess lockdown 1.0 made me reflect a lot upon myself! This painting was small (less then A4). Dragon is so sick! Thanks for the tricks! Is the dosa application necesarry? or do you ever use a washi that already has it applied? I couldn't find the washi or sumi you suggested, do you grind the sumi also? I just dropped a grand on suihi, brushes, and some other washi's I found on prior trips to Japan, any tips are much appreciated. Hope we see some new paintings for 2024. Big fan of your work.
