Thank you for watching 🙏🙏 yes I use watercolors. I think if you use acrylics, look may not be so authentic. Gouache could be a better choice than acrylics in this style 🙏🙏
This was a really helpful video! I've always practised sumi-e with black ink only, but I've recently been scrolling through Pinterest, looking at those traditional Geisha paintings, as well as Hokusai paintings, and fell in love with them, so much I decided to paint some. I honestly couldn't find any tutorials for those, but this looks fairly similar to what I'm looking for! This time-lapse helped me see a better perspective and finally gave me the courage to try to paint in traditional Japanese style! I've also subscribed to you because I've just checked a lot of your videos and they're super impressive, and again, helpful! Thank you so much!
Okay so I’m getting my introduction to this sort of painting from your videos and I have a couple questions. 1. What do you put on the rice paper that you needed to blow dry it? How and what do I order to do such things 2. What do you mix your natural pigments with? Not water?
Amazing work, I've a very similar design on my thigh but it's not as good as that. I love how you cut and paste to change things and your eye for detail is amazing.
Amazing as usual! Just wondering if you bind thin string around the base of your new brush tip top help the brush hold its shape? Or is this not necessary with the brushes you use? Thank you
Hi 👋 thank you always for watching 🙏😊 I don’t do anything to my brush other than I wash them with shampoo 🧴 afterwards. I think it is particular type of brushes which tapered this way? 🤔
Thbak you so much 🙏 so when I apply the ink and pigment, if it spread into the paper going over the lines, then it’s time to reapply the sizing. Does that make sense? Sorry for my English..
Awesome design, I'm learning a lot from this channel. The brush you use to blend the colors, is it water you use? shouldn't water go through the paint and leave a blank area? Thank you for this videos
Ive been binge watching your videos , watched quite a few a couple times. I love your work , as I’m interested in learning Japanese traditional and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for me so I could learn some more ?
Thank you for watching 🙏🙇🏻♂️ I’d recommend books of Hokusai and kuniyoshi to get started. They are the masters influenced Japanese traditional style tattooing the most.
waow waow and waow. thank you for each art in pure irezumi art 🙏 can you give me tips and tricks for drawing or painting in pure irezumi tradition plzzzz 👏
Looks amazing!!! love the analogue cut and paste. i have a suggestion for the video description. you could write for the materials something like: *Materials* - Ink Kotsugaki bokujyu - outlines and grey shading Suihi pigments - colors - Paper On hon mino -Brushes rashin fude - outline brush saishiki fude - colors makes everything a bit easier to spot :) love your channel, keep up the great work.
Nice work! Can I know what type of paper do you use for the final one? Can I know the detials specifications? And also the type of water colour you use? Will be glad to learn from you.

This was amazing. I normally skim through videos like these, but I was enamored with this process. God Bless sir 🐅
Great work! Do you buy sized washi or do you size the paper yourself using dosa?
Thank you for watching 🙏😊 I used mostly dosa sized washi. Sometime during the proses of painting, dosa gets weaker so I reapply them time to time 🙏🙏🙏
I admire your technic and imagination.
thank YOU. I enjoyed and learned from your video.

Yes it is water I am using and it does go through the paper and it will make the pigment thinner to make the nice fades 😊
Beautiful. You make it look easy. 🙌🙌

i have a suggestion for the video description. you could write for the materials something like:
*Materials*

- Paper
On hon mino
-Brushes

saishiki fude - colors
makes everything a bit easier to spot :) love your channel, keep up the great work.

best part was the conceptualization where you cut the pieces and put them together. much less wasteful and intuitive
