On my video, the first minute and fourteen seconds before your introduction were completely black. I thought there was something wrong with the video. When you came on it was very interesting letting us know your procedures and settings. Nice image.

We are going on voyager 26th December went on it last new year aswell bee😢on all the current marella cruise ships and me and my wife think the voyager is the best one to go on as there’s no buffet restaurant

I liked your presentation- I’m always looking for new ideas on photo editing. However, I don’t use 3rd party plugins. Rather I try to use LR or Photoshop for everything. What does Luminar achieve that can’t be done in Photoshop?

Thank you for this wonderfully explained video! My direct patrilineal ancestors came from Leek and lived there until the 17th century. The Butter/Market Cross was built by one of them. I wish you had included The Red Lion in the market square, which had been built and lived in by them along with the neighboring building in the 16th-17th centuries. A very influential family of Leek! I hope to visit some day.

Me and my mum went on voyager roughly two weeks ago on the treasures of the Mediterranean cruise we had an executive suite cabin I think which had a living room dining table double bathroom main bedroom with a tv and the living room had a tv this really elevated our experience being a teenager the lack of WiFi was frustrating however me and my mum were constantly watching a films then/now channels which was very good. I don’t believe you showed the cabin we were on.Throughout the cruise I didn’t use the teenagers things to do. Out of the restaurants we did not like the kitchens however we liked latitude a lot we thought the kitchens wasn’t great as it was often to busy and the food did not compare to latitude we tried kora la which was amazing and surf and turf which was great we also liked nonnas. I did not use the hideout or sports court at all though but all in all it was good and if I were to recommend one thing it would be staying at the hotel after.

Fab reserve! And very nice footage and images. My favourite duck there - the shoveler! So nice to be able to watch this as not been able to get out with my camera properly for about 2 weeks now, owing to whatever I unwittingly did to my hip and lower back, causing much pain! Already looking forward to next week's video!

Hi Darrell Interesting and useful information on Focus Stacking. We thought when you added the additional lighting it added another dimension. Which really enhanced the detail of the mushroom. Would you please let us know what make of light you used. Thanks Jon and Sandra

Some great ideas there. I really like the last photo, and the tree stump one with all the little fungi growing up it, but out of those others you asked us to comment on, I liked the mossy one, and the one with the fern leaf coming down from the top of the frame. Really good video!

Great marco video

A super good utility when taking macro… always include something of intuitive dimensions/size in the photo… for mushrooms, maybe picking them and showing the fingers/hand holding them… without a size comparison, the shots seem to always ever only be so-so

Thank you for this video with very useful advice! The focus shift diagram was very well done. I like the moss- and the fern-added mushrooms the most :-) One question, have you tried tele-mushroom photo ? This can make the focus-shift useless. Loved your photos! Mushrooms are one of the most beautiful manifestations of autumn!

Just came across Kim’s video on the reasons why she moves away from traditional landscape photography. Wanting to know more about her journey, I found this video here with Darrell. The discussion on photo clubs and competitions resonates with me a lot. I joined a club to learn, improve my photography and share with others with similar interests. Generally, photographers are introverted types, but we still manage to have meaningful interactions. Being a relative newbie, my photos are rubbish for the most part so I am not too keen on submitting photos for competitions. However, the club also organizes field trips and very respectful photo analysis sessions which are extremely interesting and useful. Thanks for this great interview with Kim!

Latitude was great

Surf and Turf was a disappointment. The Prawn cocktail was A prawn,, one prawn. We got the chef out as some of the presentation was disappointing on the mains. You will need to go to the buffet afterwards. Shame

Nah, balcony is a must. Indoor cabins are just to dark and you loose track on time. Nothing quite like waking up and walking out onto your balcony.

never had to book in the Med bar restaurants. Just walked in everyday

Just done our first cruise on Marella Explorer. Absolutely brilliant. Have done plenty of other cruises but this ship was great. Silent disco was a real hoot
