Make sure to make 2 spares
What size lift and tires?
Good video!! My advice for buffing, use a polishing pad and polish, don’t use cutting compound and cutting/compound pad, the compound will remove the exposed paint, but polish is not as harsh. I do a 3 step process on my channel if you like to check it out. @ 216 Auto Restoration, thanks for the videos!
What an incredible find! Love the look and sound of her! Plus you have the those lovely country roads to enjoy driving her around in!
Thanks for the info on the metal hose section , i was wondering why my 69 k10 had that
Goose poop green.
That’s an amazing rig👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Cool short Narrow ! Im currently building a k20 longbed . I love the fact i can get on youtube and watch all these 67-72 restos ! !
I saw the other truck for sale in n. wa a few months back. It was missing its t case and sold for $700
That was not the other truck. It was a 90 series larger gasoline model. Somewhat similar looking. But not the same truck.
Nice. Thank you Sir for sharing this!
The “Steel Slots” are awesome!
Cool find. Thank you Sir for documenting this amazing project.
cut that exhaust pipe, right there where the frame stops at the buckle on the end, kind of like kind of how my father did on his 84 Monte Carlo SS brought the two and a half inch pipe sucked up behind the back tire like the old 6465 El caminos in chevelles. It sounded good and I don't know. Different. Not telling you just, venting awesome build all respect.
You remember copper head build that Stacy David did 67 Chevy short bed that's when the 572 first started production
That thing is bad a$$$
I want it!!! 😂😂 Amazing work, love these big old trucks
It looks like a shiny penny I think it's a real cherry you just don't see many trucks like that in Virginia where I live
Way cool
Totally off topic, but what’s the exhaust setup on big red? It sure does sound good!
Headers , 2.5, and short short glass packs
The whole video I was thinking those tires are gonna be a problem great job 👏
The two minute teaser video was awesome. This was amazing. Still a awesome truck rare with the Toro flow diesel. Only seen a 305 V6 in my dad's cousins 63 GMC c1000. 😊
Beautiful truck. So is the missus. Loved the dog's entrance. So funny. 😊
10-4 double score LOLthe chat comments
It is also now my favorite truck!!!!
Makes me miss home and the boys, nice video buddy. Met ya once when she was still a project truck, also nice to see some snow back home via cams 📷. Say hi to clint when ya see him
Awesome service truck. I didn't know that GM was still using Napco into the early 70s.
Those toroflows have a sound of their own.
I have visions of one of these turned into a mobile welding truck for the equipment repair I do. What a cool truck I can only imagine how hard it would be to find one.
That color was called royals plum on 1967 Chevrolet cars…..
Awesome truck awesome lady. Lucky man
Sounds great, and the little woman looks great too. 👍🏻
Very cool rig. You are a lucky guy Dude
Enjoyed the video… thanks for sharing
Wow nice truck don't make them like that anymore at when we get hit with an emp it'll still be driving not like the rest of the junk they are pushing these days
I call it a win
I'm in Florida and seen all sorts of redneck inguinuity, but Washington man is new level...
I want that truck
love it great job
My favorite chevy color! Awesome job on resurrection! Wish my 69 K20 was that color. You boys should do some trail running videos up in those beautiful mountains. It would really show why these trucks were designed the way they were. Offroad work horses!
I love those trucks to had a couple of them in the 80s, when I was in my 20s, now there so high priced here in wv, a guy can’t afford them, that’s the junked out ones,I’ve got a 86 square body now had for 32 yrs. But there. NOt the same as those trucks
Do you have any experience with a aftermarket bed floor? Does anyone make a good bed?
Buying car parts these days is like gambling 😂
I have just come across a 1970 longhorn. Been sitting for 30 years. 454, no interior, some rust in the doors and kick panel. Guy hasn't advertised but told me 5k. Its 3 hrs away. Worth it? Not sure what it is truly worth.
Ls motor
Good truck
Is that super clean you used on the frame?
Yes
The resend the bed and the front clip have black primer a different plant they painted and the cab painted and assembled in another and put together in a 3rd plant.
Something that I have noticed over the years is a lot more farm trucks came with sport mirrors than you’d think. But they were pretty much all swapped out because the farmers couldn’t see out of em. My 77 had factory sport mirrors and the original owner took the truck back to the dealer two days after he had bought it and made them switch them out because he couldn’t see out of them.
That’s because they were the standard mirror in this body style of truck. Any other mirror option was an upgrade and extra charge. And I agree. 9 times out of 10 they were changed out for something else
@ i actually didn’t know those were base model for that body style. Pretty interesting.
@ yea same in Iowa. I was just able to get lucky and get a couple good ones. There’s still some good deals out there though. Just gotta keep an eye out
Why was the dwell jumping around so much? Were you adjusting something while it was running?
Yes I was adjusting it with my left hand while filming the meter with my other
Awesome to see you save another one.Jake That truck turned out great. I learn something new about these trucks with every one of your videos I watch.
