Good morning from Cape Cod ⚓ a lot of hard work and a few cold beers, you got yourself big red with new rear springs looking great and the flatbed looks awesome too. Keep up the great work and the awesome content 👍✌️🇺🇲
White diamond polish and a buffing disc does great on then rims. My 80 corvette rims looked like yours did . I buffed them with that and they came out looking new
You've broached partially rebuilding the hubs twice now but I've never torn into my and am intimidated how it all comes apart! I would love to see them come completely off and rebuilt if a truck is so deserving.
Don’t be scared it’s all nuts and bolts, biggest thing is setting the load and lock on the wheel bearings correctly which is easy to do, happy to help guide you
I use a small chisel in the slot of the cone washers and tap to turn with a small hammer, once they move a little bit use a small screwdriver in the slot and they will wiggle right out
Shackle flip would have worked well for flat bed! I’m not a fan typically as for it always moves the axle way forward out of center line. And they look goofy.. but on the flatbed it wouldn’t have mattered as for it wouldn’t be noticeable.
@@GoldCityTrucks OK, I was thinking about doing it to my k10 to get rid of the blocks but sound like I'll just get arched springs thanks for the answer 👍
Sure enjoy your videos thanks for taking the time to film your adventures in working on these 67-72s.
You really do have some great friends, looked like a good time was had by all present, I saw a lot of smiles anyway!
Great video. Nice friends to have. They put in the work on those springs.
Love them older Chevy 😊

Did I hear Longhorn 4x4 ? 👍
Yes. Starting on a conversion frame soon for my yellow longhorn shop truck. Stay tuned! I will do a video on the process
@@GoldCityTrucks keep the beefy Longhorn frame and just convert it to 4x4.
Great and wonderful work, sir. Is it possible to get a Stepside body for the same model 20K or Model C? Thank you

Sounds You just been Lucky to not have a real stuck one yet!!
🤘
With a 6 inch lift, how wide of 37s will clear on a 72? Id like to get 12.5 wide in 37s. Or would i be better off with 35s?
37 12.50s will fit good for street driving
Any off road and they will rub
Wheel width and offset is a big factor too
🇨🇦 👍
#slotsrule Dig n it
👏👏👏👌✌👍
Nice
Personally I like the look of the Chevy 4 wheel drive, sitting lower
Why not keep stock rear springs and do a rear shackle flip? Serious question. Also the idaho state flag comment was uncalled for 😂.

@@chiphazzard8173 I always will prefer lift springs to all other methods
Ford didn't do away with the highboy till 1980 you could still get a highboy in 1979
I don’t believe that is correct. Another ford guy will chime in I’m sure to set the record straight
@@GoldCityTrucks It is i had a 1979 ford f250 highboy 460 4 speed da205 tcase da 44 front da60 rear.
