Very cool Iv got. 67 gmc it was a 305 v6 with sm318 3 speed / Rockwell Has been swapped to a 327 and turbo 350 over the years I have the original trans/transfer but no v6
nice find ive unstuck several small block and 6 banger chevys with just trans fluid letting them sit a couple days and removing inspection cover and putting big pry bar between bell housing against flywheel if it wont move either way then it needs to come apart keep up the good work
I have tried everything. I think it’s broken inside and holding itself up. Look a rod bound up against something else. I’m gonna tear it apart and see what’s going on with it after I pull it out
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ I learned something new today, I've never seen this generation truck with a three-speed on the column, being four-wheel drive and a V8 that is. Yes it's a great looking truck that deserves a new heart ❤️. I'm looking forward to the continuation of this truck, keep up the great work ✌️🇺🇲
This is a really cool old truck!! I have a 71 Ford f100 shortbox 4x4. It's really cool to see the equal type of truck from chevy. My ford is a basic custom truck. It had 2bbl 360 with a np 435 4sp & manual steering & manual drum brakes. It did come with 4.11 gears wich I like. But very cool old chevy! I never knew they made a 3 on the tree in a 4 wheel drive?? I wonder if ford ever made any like that? Maybey in the old broncos? I'll have to look that up.
I had two 68 4x4's with the 3 on the tree. In the winters it was always hard to get them into Reverse and first and sometimes the linkages got stuck. They sucked even when new, one of them my dad bought brand new. I swapped them both from the Muncie SM318/Rockwell T221 out for the Sm465/NP205. The SM318 didn't have a synchronized first gear and had to come to a complete stop before you can shift to first. Does this one have the SM318 (4 bolt side cover) ? I can't remember if the newer ones switched to the Saginaw 3 speed (7 bolt side cover). I haven't seen a Chevy 3 on the tree 4x4 since the 90s. They're ok for cruising but I didn't like them when I was towing or hauling a load of firewood with no low gear for taking off.
Nice rescue. Truck is definitely worthy of another engine and to be back out on the road.👍🏻
Find a rusted out squarebody mid 80s and swap engine and ps assy into truck😊😊
Nice old farm find.

My favorite color. I had a 81 in saddle gold with black racing stripes. Lots of comments on that bronze color.
This is a.good truck
I want that truck.
I think white 16s and some power king bias plys would look perfect on this truck.

They were definitely theft deterents 😂
Cream puff couldn’t find a better subject.
Nice but power steering a big plus 😎

We. Called them GYPSY ROSE LEES. STRIPERS
The passenger side was in the sun? I bet that's why the passenger seat side is torn. Dried out and shrunk and cracked from the sun
You are probably right!
Get 16. Inch rims tires bolt right on from mid 88s. Van mo need for sixteen fives
Why would that 71 you don’t see 68 to 72 trucks around at all big money truck just sitting
k 10 indicates 1/2 ton 4x4 . wheels should be 6 lug 15 inch
16s were available in 5,6 and 8 lug trucks in 1971-2.
You talk too much you need to start working on it
Okay boomer
No such thing as no power steering.
Got pwr front discs though
Untrue, power steering available on all 67-72 10-30 models.

Everybody here in Florida wants 4500 plus for an incomplete basket case or heavily rusted with no title 😡
