That is a really nice original truck. It deserves to have its original engine rebuilt and put back in. I don't think I've ever seen one that color, shines like a new penny i like it.
My favorite chevy color! Awesome job on resurrection! Wish my 69 K20 was that color. You boys should do some trail running videos up in those beautiful mountains. It would really show why these trucks were designed the way they were. Offroad work horses!
looks great the last two trucks i had that the paint was like chalk i got the finest grade stainless steel s.o.s. pads and washed the trucks with them before buffing takes the oxidization off so your not ruining your buffing pads works great keep saving them trucks cheers
Something that I have noticed over the years is a lot more farm trucks came with sport mirrors than you’d think. But they were pretty much all swapped out because the farmers couldn’t see out of em. My 77 had factory sport mirrors and the original owner took the truck back to the dealer two days after he had bought it and made them switch them out because he couldn’t see out of them.
That’s because they were the standard mirror in this body style of truck. Any other mirror option was an upgrade and extra charge. And I agree. 9 times out of 10 they were changed out for something else
@ yea same in Iowa. I was just able to get lucky and get a couple good ones. There’s still some good deals out there though. Just gotta keep an eye out
I love those trucks to had a couple of them in the 80s, when I was in my 20s, now there so high priced here in wv, a guy can’t afford them, that’s the junked out ones,I’ve got a 86 square body now had for 32 yrs. But there. NOt the same as those trucks
The resend the bed and the front clip have black primer a different plant they painted and the cab painted and assembled in another and put together in a 3rd plant.
cut that exhaust pipe, right there where the frame stops at the buckle on the end, kind of like kind of how my father did on his 84 Monte Carlo SS brought the two and a half inch pipe sucked up behind the back tire like the old 6465 El caminos in chevelles. It sounded good and I don't know. Different. Not telling you just, venting awesome build all respect.
Awesome to see you save another one.Jake That truck turned out great. I learn something new about these trucks with every one of your videos I watch.
Another great video Jake. This one definitely brings back memories

I have never seen a K10 with a three on the tree. They usually have 4 speeds. Talking points and dwell sure brings back memories.
They are somewhat uncommon but out there. 4 speed was a little over a 100 dollar upgrade above this base 3 speed trans.
love it great job

It looks like a shiny penny I think it's a real cherry you just don't see many trucks like that in Virginia where I live
I call it a win

Do you have any experience with a aftermarket bed floor? Does anyone make a good bed?
Why was the dwell jumping around so much? Were you adjusting something while it was running?
Yes I was adjusting it with my left hand while filming the meter with my other
Buying car parts these days is like gambling 😂
