Another great save. They made a zillion of this generation and besides the usual places of rust, they were built to last. Really suprised the block wasn't cracked and you didn't even mess with the QJet. It's going to be ready for more years of dependable and economical service. Really respect your methodical approach to bringing them back. Peace
Thanks man! Always fun to get them going and make them run again. And I agree. They were built simple too, which has helped them last. I like to imagine Trying getting a 2022 chevy running in 50 years from now after it’s been sitting for the last 20 of that in a field. No thank you!!
Good morning from Cape Cod ⚓ you do some beautiful work, I like your attention to detail. That's one awesome Chevy. Keep up the good work and the awesome content 👍✌️🇺🇲
Love the truck (as I usually do on this channel). Just wanted to send some appreciation for having a killer channel that quite clearly not only I enjoy, but many of us do. As we should.
Was great to meet you on Saturday. Love what you are doing to old blue. Dad drove this back and forth to Issaquah many years till he retired to chesaw. Very happy someone is gonna be using here again. Thanks.
This is the only time I have seen Spicer hubs since having them on a 73 K20 camper special. 350, 4 speed, open diffs 4:10 front Dana/4:11 rear GM 12 bolt. Bought it in 82 with a 7 1/2' Fisher. You walked along the frame rails in the box and Pepsi cans could fall out between the doors and the missing rocker panels of the cab it was so rusted out. It did 2 things great, plow snow & drink gas.
I like everything that you've done so far. And on all your videos you go beyond and above. I love my older Chevy's. I'm actually looking for a 3/4 ton for world drive in the 71 Siri. Similar to what you had just did in this video. My name is Lloyd heck and live I. Live in Montana but I used to I. Grew up and Washington State. But I like your videos, if you run across the Netherlands of them. Let me know how much I'm interested in purchasing one in restoring it. I'm 59 years old and I would love to have an old Chevy back. I had A 72 will drive for speed truck and I sold it. And I kicked myself in the butt ever since but I'm looking for A71 custom. Keep me in mind
My 85 square body has that sticker ad well think my 86 does to. But my 86 don't matter cause me and my 10 year old grandson took it from a2wd half ton and made it a 3/4ton 4x4 . With 1ton rear springs and 750 over load sping shocks on the rear. But going to put 1/2ton axles on it with 6 inch lift and 38inch tires. It's got 4.10 gears in it but gas hog . So putting 3.73 gears in it
I have a 1971 K10 w/350 with granny low. Looking for an upper hard radiator pipe. I see one on eBay but it’s out of my price range. Can you help me out
@@GoldCityTrucks ok. I sorta thought that might be the case. My truck is a Frankenstein build. It was half ton 6 lug when I bought it. And I put 14 bolt full float rear and 8 lug dana 44 in it out of a 79. Which is fine I guess. The big hubs do look nice. The difference might not be worth the cost.

@@GoldCityTrucksneeds some G20. Van side markers. From mid 80s. Bolt right in
Cool truck that once again has that mysterious pop riveted aluminum door on the bedside🤣
Dealer/aftermarket installed saddle gas tanks are what those doors are access to
@@GoldCityTrucks I’d like to see some pictures of what those tanks would look like.

What kind of decreaser do you use?seemed to work pretty well
Super clean !
New paint
I love my squarebodys but let’s be real. 67-72s look waaaaayyyyy better
What do those hooks look like? I may have some. Are they right/left configuration?
Yes, 69-71* are left and right. Send me a picture of them to 15095603970 if you want to sell them
I just picked up a '65 c20 with some rear end with the locker. What gear oil did you use and do i need any fiction additive?

Is that a dana 60 front??? Or just big hubs on a dana 44??
Not a 60, it’s factory big hub 44 that’s original to the truck
Do these spicer big hubs fit on to a dana 44 from a late 70s gm truck?
They only fit “big hub” earlier Dana 44s. You can however put the locking hubs and complete outer hub assemblies on to a later diff.

What’s tuff country lift run for one of these trucks?
Varies per kit, a quick google search will get you some offerings and places selling them
Do u ever use Sea foam
Yes great stuff !
