@@GoldCityTrucks I need a bed for the 72 im building. I bought dynacorn metal. I'm not to that point yet. But glad to see someone having good success with it
@@GoldCityTrucks if it’s not too much to ask can you give me a measurement from the ground to the fender lip? I just installed 2” lift springs from Alcan and got 1-1/4” of lift and my truck still leans 1” to the drivers side. I’m super bummed.
That color 🤌, question for the smarter then me guys, i got a 72 k10 auto, the trans seems to shift fine fuild down smell to bad but when i drive it i can smell burning rubber/clutches or something. Can never see visible smoke tho. Im a 4 spd guy so autos are voodoo to me, any help appreciated.
@@GoldCityTrucks will be brake cleaning the whole bottom of the truck tomorrow haha. She's a little oily everywhere right now I just had the bolt above my fuel pump vibrate out while down the highway made a freakin mess. Hopefully after that I can find the source. Thanks for the reply 👍.
You probably have a bit of a leak in the seal between the tranny and the 205 t-case. The fluid lays on the exhaust when parked then you start driving and walla!!!! smoke, smell, drip on shop floor etc. And about your " auto's are voodoo " comment. I'll tell ya one thing they might be "voodoo " to some people but when you go to sell that rig you will reap the REWARD !!!!! I have been building, body-off-frame and on-frame restoring and flipping these '67-'72 Chevy/GMC 4x4's since 1982. My shop did just under 400 mostly K20's . We are in the Midwest and we like to drive them in EVERYTHING . Mud, snow, rain, truck pulls, mud bogs, you name it My shop turned over at least 15 trucks a year. I am not exaggerating a bit to say I know that we pulled for sure 5K-8K more from an automatic than a 4-speed. Wives, daughters, younger gen's don't want to take their first spin to get their license jerk'in around in a 50 year old rig. You would feel differently if you rode in my '71 Chevy 3/4 ton auto. (350 turbo) 4x4. It has B&M everything, it will give you a two foot scratch in 2nd gear and darn near one in drive!!!!!

Check for leaks! Some sort of oil or fluid could be leaking on exhaust creating the burning smell
