personally i use blender for editing videos, though it can be rather weird and not as powerful as dedicated video editors. i've heard there's also davinci resolve thing that some people did use, but idk how that one works

@@KwabeeProductions yeah there's some stuff on youtube that does go through the whole animation process that also talks about editing stuff together rather than just usage of 1 specific tool. for recording stuff, you could either record playback of smh with video recorders or use screenshots through smh_makejpeg or whatever. playback in current version could drop fps, especially with weaker systems and with larger scenes/more stuff being animated/more lights/smooth playback enabled/always freeze being turned off. i did want to look into optimizing all that stuff but irl stuff and procrastination keeps kicking my ass

since latest gmod updates it has been changed to be bindable iirc, about at the bottom of the keyboard settings in gmod i think, gonna check

yeah, options, keyboard tab, scroll to the bottom, set something to toggle developer console, could put it as ~ so it'd be the "classic" way

yeah people generally have some issues with it, so probably in the future there could be more options for these things like toggles and whatnot

@@PenolAkushari thanks for the video by the way I have lots of ideas for animations but source filmmakers too complicated and I already play Garry's mod a lot

@@Taxidermied_Ratt ai, i happened to do a switch from sfm to gmod myself since sfm was laggy and crash happy on my old pc, and then i kinda stuck with gmod lol

The record button adds a frame it doesn't play the animation you made

Make sure you right click on the model or whatever your animating. I somehow forgot about it too.

Сэнсорку уже давно приобрел, вспомнил тебя, захотел в телегу зайти, в стим не могу, нет доступа и вообще он на этот смартфон не устанавливается, наверное это стюпидфон. А так пишу через фейк. В телеге, только энглиш группу отображает при поиске.

Did you happen to apply some higher ragdoll weight to all bones for stretch to work? It seems to behave like that on bones that got too little weight

@@PenolAkushari When I type in smh_playback or smh_menu, I can’t see anything popping up, therefore the command doesn’t exist, even when following the steps I still can’t seem to see anything of the said commands

@@babyboo-ek5qn You do type them in as +smh_menu and +smh_playback, right? Does anything pop up in console when you type in smh in general, like smh_record or so? Could be that gmod workshop didn't properly mount the addon so you may need to disable some other addons to make it work, and it can be random of what you'd have to disable

@@PenolAkushari So the “Turn off some addons” idea has worked! Thanks for that suggestion, or I wouldn’t have known.

@@babyboo-ek5qn Yeah gmod workshop sometimes does that. If you really want some of those addons, you can just find smh in its workshop folder and unpack its .gma and put it into gmod's addons folder, then it should work I think without any issues with whatever addons you'd enable

Generally green halo thing may bug out and not render in some occasions but the entity you right clicked on should still get selected
