I waited so long to finish a recording (15 years!) that I forgot what it was like to finish a song..
Eventually, tragedy had struck in my family, and I instinctually started playing again as a form of therapy.
I created a new beat every week for nearly a full year. The first few recordings were lackluster at best, but I felt great! Just knowing that I could put my mind to creating a track and have it finished by the end of the week.
Over time I discovered I was actually using a system for getting songs done.

Are these plugins usable for Bass drum & other instruments? What about vocals if I want a bass punch on it?

Hey, thanks. I noticed it too. It's my compression plus the automatic studio sound thing in Descript that pushed it over the top. I'll skip that next time.

apologies, had the wrong mic on the whole stream. leaving it up for a bit for the hardcore people.
The fact that I can't just buy Lead Architect if I want it. And if I do jump through all the hoops to get it, I have to subscribe to keep it. That's that Apple/UA type treatment. I purchase the add-ons, the Mix FX and Presonus plugins that I want. I subscribe to enough "stuff." I still love this DAW. But the Hybrid tactic is not gonna work on me. I'll be buying a perpetual upgrade license when it's that time again.
We are invested in this software in different ways. Glad you have a plan.

I think you should only get into music production if you can create music.

Nobody is going to buy anything that requires an internet connection. Limits its use by about 90%
It's a tough sell. I'd skip both of these for now.
there's also people who just will cheat and that's that. The problem is that this positivity reinforce the cheaters.. those are the ones that get there first. Spitting out 10 albums a year vs 1, maybe 2 doing it honestly.. it's just, well, unfair to say the least. Tools is something that eases down specific tasks, boring or just repetitive, like automatic remove drum bleed from some mics or something.. but this is is nothing like that..its about replacing creativity cheating. The thing is, you don't and can't know who generated lyrics in AI..or write the whole song, then hit the recording studio and record the song like a cover band..who can tell? this is just awful

Depends on the goal and your current level. if you are tone deaf and think you will be the next kanye west then it will take around 10 years + 5 year of ear training. If you already have a very good ear or absolute pitch and you can retain sounds in your mind then you can likely practice creating interesting sounds and it might take you around 5+ years to hone down on creating a unique sound that might carry some substance. not sure why you had to make 20 min of talking

One of the reasons why I got into Studio One was for the hardware integration. If I switch DAWs, I'll change the hardware up, as well.

You are not wrong, but what you can't see in the clip is the rest of the livestream where I offer solutions and showcase ways that I've changed. However, this is a negative take... I'm trying to help my younger self who's dopamine receptors are fried, and you can't focus because your phone and video games are more important than your goals.
