    100 pushups 100 situps 100 squats and a 10K run every day will work. Don't underestimate the power of a simple workout. Simple workouts are less mentally taxing.

    Just clarifyng something I said in the video because I realize it was poorly communicated. I don't mean completely replace music with podcasts. Music is great and helps to motivate, but adding podcasts to your listening pleasure can be pretty nice once in a while :D

    This is more of a general question about going overboard with volume. You learn about military training; they go way overboard (usually with calisthenics). I also know of some elderly folks who remained in good shape their whole life working in their office into their 70s and 80s by doing calisthenics sets at arbitrarily picked times. For example, every time they had to do something like deliver paperwork to their co-worker or talk to their secretary. They would do a set of 5 or 10 push-ups, sit-ups, body squats, and pull-ups, like a circuit. Then, get back to work. These things seem to go way past the standard advice on volume. Is this a bad idea? To me, it would seem to fit with the type of monkey we are. We are endurance pursuit predators evolved from tree-climbing apes. You do both of those things all day, everyday. It also matches the way our ancestors worked in their jobs of farming, hunting/gathering, sailing, etc. But a lot of channels make it sound like a bad thing. Does too much only count to the degree to which you get closer to failure?
