I read on a reddit post that if you criticize Johnny for his Arasaka attacks but have little to no kills wracked up yourself the dialogue will differ. He will say that V doesn't like killing, but lets others do it for them instead. Rather than the usual dialogue where he points out V is also a killer. Do you know if this is true?

It’s highly based off the journey to the west but it’s basically it’s own story. Either the directors wanted to make their own story with huge inspiration or they just simply had a million misconceptions but were too lazy to do research.

I remember after finishing the Voodoo Boyz quest, I collapse outside of the church then end up in Pistis Sofia.

Can you please make a short video discussing the differences of doing PL at different stages of the game? So far I have only played it end of save(whole base game quests completed) and using the dedicated PL new game start(only completes up to vdb questline, no panam and goro questlines). I wonder how it would be at different parts and how choices in the base game and PL affect each other when played at different stages.

Game is so complex, it drives me crazy when people say cyberpunk isn’t an rpg or there’s not enough choices and consequences in this game … rhere r so many different variations of every scene depending on various decisions you’ve made.. see the difference is most of the decisions u make in cyberpunk r with ur actions, not with a specific choice of dialogue .. that coupled with the fact the changes r usually subtle and so well integrated, it’s why I think a lot of it went over peoples heads

You haven't read Neuromancer? BD's ( in the novel called SimStim's), shard in a slot behind the ear, all these elements were present in the novel.

I really wish their first movie together wasn't Hollywood but a pure HK action flick. They should've been the main characters in their movie, but we got this movie about a goofy American kid with Jackie and Jet as supporting characters. With that said, this movie still delivered some good fight choreography from the two legends.

An excellent showcase of the intricate and nuanced structure that the base game story works in, and why CDPR's integration of Phantom Liberty utterly fails. Songbird needs to call you after Tapeworm is complete, and the expansion needs to be reserved for the third act, serving as an optional new branch and opportunity that opens up for V. You even say yourself how you like doing Transmission last because it fits really well with PL. As it stands, Phantom Liberty urges you to finish Transmission first, and then acts like an uninvited guest that mucks up the very narrative structure you showcased in this video.

for me, i prefer the 2nd chat in the first slot. it makes more sense to me. that's why i often help Panam first. (especially on my main V, Valerie. yes, i know that does not make sense, because there is little change in the dialogue.) a lot of folks rush to help Judy first (understandable) but no matter how long you wait, her friend always dissapeared '7 days' before you call Judy. and i always visit Pacifica last. because that way, when i have the little episode that ends up at the Pistis Sophia.... Johnny didnt have to drag my half fried V's backside halfway across the map somehow. i mean...how does he do it? steal a car, a bike? cant exactly call Delamain (lol) hitch hike? so, if we are already in Pacifica he just has to stagger over to the hotel and watch the sea. there are also differences in the scene where you are on the balcony after helping Judy. if you went ahead and helped Judy first, he will beg V to smoke. you can refuse (in which case he whines and hates non smokers) or agree and he's happier. but if you helped Judy second, V is already smoking. he will comment on this, and ether you tell him it calms you or that once you start something, you cant stop. (at which he will comiserate as a fellow addict, saying he understands)

wish there was an option to Call Hanako rather than it being automatic. There's so many side quests but the story is rushing you too much to enjoy them

Huh, interesting. I just realized I do the same quests in the same order on every playthrough. I find Evelyn, then I do panams mission, then I do the Pacifica mission, and then I end it with the Arasaka Parade mission. It never occurred to me that the Johnny scenes would play in the same order, just different locations

Great example of just how deep this game is in terms of leaving open almost endless possibilities for subtly different ways to play that have nice variations for different approaches. I always like doing Life During Wartime 3rd for the special vibe of that scene on the motel patio. So I always do M'ap Tann Pelen first cause it's the main mission I like the least, then Automatic Love, then Life During Wartime third cause the way these scenes play out feels nicest that way, then Search and Destroy always last cause like Hanako I tend to leave Takemura on read until there is literally nothing else left to do.
