Thanks for the video, I just ordered everything. Added a GPS though, imho it would be very unresponsible to go long range without it. I do have some questions which I hope you could help with: 1. I just ordered two Lipo packs of HobbyKing; 5000mAh, 6s, they are 'heavy'. Why did you not go with Li-ion since it would hold more energy per kg? 2. The braces in the frame seem to be very un aerodynamic, did you do anything to them to avoid too much prop drag? 3. I ordered a lollypop antenna for the VTX, however do you know which type of polarization should be used? Thanks!

Safe to say that it weighs more than .5 lb which means it must be registered with the FAA. And by the way, long range => beyond visual sight is illegal in the USA. Also if your vtx puts out more than 25mW then you need a HAM license.

Use molicell 3s pack(21700) and use 2213 920kv motor and 10inch props give you 55 minute flight time dear . But you have to make the frame from 1/2 inch hollow almunium arms and carbon fiber base plate custom.... .

You don’t really want to disable the OSD warnings for flight time but adjust the values to be better suited to the flight time you get with the batteries you use the most. The settings for that are on the OSD tab to the right of the page.

You can change your timer and battery capacity warnings in the OSD tab in betaflight. You'll see on the right-hand side an alarm and timer heading. Just set them to whatever you want

Honestly flight time is not a very useful metric. Slap a GPS on this bad boy and you'll get flight distance. But carrying a 833 grams of battery using only 20% throttle is pretty impressive! This means it would also fly great using 6s2p 21700 LiIon Pack. That would be about 10 000 mAh and 840 grams.

Heresey!!!! how doth dare talk bad about DJI!!!! I think DJIs big problem is compatibility, front and back. I think its crazy if i buy the new DJI drone, you basically cant use anything prior unless you buy the Pro which costs as much as the drone haha. But still DJI master race!!!

What about to try li-ion battery? Your amp draw is low so that must bee perfect. And you can let the voltage drop under 3v pr cell. Im using li-ion on fpv fixed wing and are happy with thouse batterys.

What goggle are you using?

I don’t quite understand, if I want to add GPS, can I use it or is it only VTX or GPS?

I got HoverAir ProMax, Can't wait to get in couple of weeks or so The features an camera on ProMax is outstanding , . DJI. just freaking strip down blah 4K drone nothing special or any feature about it That's why it's cheap so no DUH

This is nowhere near the Avata 2. Oversharpened, low dynamic range, not to mention range and penetration, and low light. There is no alternative to the Avata 2.

Drop test it like the vlogger who test drop the Neo DJI from 120 meters drop grass and concrete and the drone survives, check it here on YT.

The website said approximately 5.5 minutes flight time. Is that okay for an FPS drone?

I built this and its awesome! My first quad. In the video you mention its 3s-4s, and i cant find any reason its not 6s?
