Sorry for interruption, are you able to explain a little bit more about the Vtx wiring one at 8:33. I don’t really understand if you need to solder both part or just choose one section and in that section you solder a bridge.
absolutely. this is by far the best guide for building budget friendly fpv drones. most of the tutorial made by other youtuber uses some expensive parts.

Newbie here, found your channel by looking into cheap drones to start and this build it's quite fantastic, I don't have GoPro but other than that it seems very interesting and got quite hooked up and I might even try this first time
be careful - this is not a "cheap drone setup". you'll need the fpv goggles, remote and HOURS of training before you can bring this thing outside. this is not you typical dji/whatever fly ready consumer drone!
Sam, I'd be happy to watch full assembly videos (and everything else) on this channel without switching. No doubt you have your reasons for making the other, but I'd enjoy watching everything you put up on this channel. If you upload to oddysea I'll watch there too.
Hey Sam, I’ve been looking into this sort of thing for a while. There’s so much drama about FPV being dead and analog being dead, but there is soooo much coming out of China at such low rates that I actually think we’re heading into a new era of analog, with new pilots joining the ranks with these cheap options. You’re doing good work here…
Analog will make a comeback. Its breakdown is easier to spot and theres evennways to make repeater systems for them. Just as in war or redbull downhill. I actually just bought a used pair of hdo2 and rapidfire for some budget builds and whoops.
im sure you already use this but you should mention to the new people that rosin core solder is also a must. once i started using rosin core solder, soldering became like riding a bike, dont even think about anymore

Hello, for the ESC you recommand a 45A ESC, is it better to choose a 60A ESC as it is just a few bucks more expensive ? thanks for your video that makes me spend my money ah, ah 😋
I got the 60A ESC, and when I got everything soldered correctly, I plugged in the battery with a smoke stopper and it started beeping... after looking for a bit at the internet, I found that it could be smoke stopper fault, so I tried without - it wasn't the smoke stopper :D Anyway, I have then found out, that something must have been wrong with one motor output, because when I unsoldered the motor (new, working), everything booted up correctly without fault. So I wrote a refund to AliExpress yesterday and today they told me that I will get my money back. Overall great customer support, I'm ordering a replacement from Ysido rn.
Awesome video been looking at getting into building drones to save a bit more cash would you recommend 3d printing frames haven't found a lot of 3d modelled frames
Honest question as a newbie to the hobby, is this 5' easier to start off with then the 7' for some one first time flying a drone? Need to master the technique first. Thank you
The 5" drones usually weigh less and are more nimble. It depends on the usage, if you are looking into getting into freestyle or similar things go for 5", for long range get the 7" or even fixed wings.
Great build, one word of caution though. The pinecil linked is a knockoff and is more than the original ( at least for me ). Also don't be like me and forget to select the fc and esc combo stack. I just bought the fc.
I am way too late but if anyone is still wondering, as far as I know it's just the maximum current the ESC can handle, I am unsure if it's per motor though.
Awesome build! I love your channel. This drone is cheap, but how reliable is it? Could you tell us how many hours you've been able to fly it? A $100 price tag for a 5-inch drone seems too good to be true!
Is it okay if I get the stack with the 60A esc? I'll be using the same motors but there's not a huge price difference between them so if I get the 60A variation I'll be able to upgrade my motors (I will upgrade it for sure after some time)
Just built one like in the video, but get the better camera the fisheye is terrible on the cheapo one. Also there are kits on ali with the frame motors and esc fc stack😅

5:00 Where does the battery capasitor and the battery leads come with? Do i have to order them extra or are they somewhere included? Nice video, keep up the work, greetings from Europe 🇩🇪
I was wondering what kind of screws you are using for the motors. I bought the screw assortment kit from the link and the m3x10 screw would not grab onto the motors threading. Were the screws you were using m3.5x10 screws? Thanks for the video, I enjoyed building this drone for $100.
