Reviewing the 2024 Redesigned Golden LiteRider Scooter
The already popular Golden LightRider 3- and 4-wheel GL111 and GL141 with its tubular frame design has always been a popular mid-size scooter with its ability to be disassembled for transport. With its 300 lbs. weight capacity and bigger 22ah battery pack, my opinion has always been the motor and transaxle were a little too small for this scooter and was used in such applications as the smaller Golden Buzzaround LT and Lite versions of the scooters. Its always refreshing to see manufactures improving their products and this is one improvement this scooter has always needed. As for reliability of the drive unit is yet to be seen and only time will tell.

I Paid $400 for this Powerchair as a Trade in - Did I Pay too much for it???
Просмотров 22121 день назад
Taking in a trade-in for a new mobility unit is always a risky thing but if you do your due diligence hopefully you won't be upside down. If you are thinking of reconditioning the unit for resale checking a used unit for trade-in is similar to buying a used car. If you have some basic knowledge and what to look for most of the time you should be okay but there can always be some hidden things t...

Golden release their ALL NEW 2024 GC340 Companion scooter and have added some new features and design changes to their already popular mid to full size scooters. Along with the GC340 and GC440 they have added a larger four-wheel version the Companion HD GC540 to their fleet. The price point might be slightly more than their competitors, the Pride Victory 10 but you get a lot more features for y...
Replacing the floor shroud on a Pride Mobility Maxima Four wheel

Change the floor shroud she said, it will be easy she said! Changing the floor shroud or repairing anything to do with tiller on a Pride Maxima, to be honest the job isn't too difficult but getting the damn tiller reconnected to the steering mast is a PAIN IN THE BUTT!! Between the weight of the tiller itself and the awkwardness of trying to get the bolts, shims all lined up without damaging or...

Trade in Drive Spitfire Pro with a few fixes and many accessories
Просмотров 3172 месяца назад
We don't usually take in many Drive products as trade-in's due to their cheaper retail price and unreliability but this one we did. The lady who bought this scooter from a charity/foundation paid $400 for it and had a few accessories put on it and a few problems, dying batteries for one. Let's see if we can turn this scooter around, check for any other problems and see if I can make it look som...
How to Operate the Harar AL010 Lightweight Scooter Lift
Просмотров 1983 месяца назад
The A010 automatic raising and manual fold scooter lift from Harmar gives you the option of allowing some smaller vehicles to carry your mobility scooter. Not all vehicles have the ability to be able to carry any weight at the back of your vehicle, but the Harmar AL010 lift opens up some possibilities for some small vehicles. The best way to check if you have a smaller sized car or crossover is...

Pride Mobility ZT (zero turn) powerchair technology was such a well-received introduction to the scooter market with the Jazzy ZT or now known as the ZT8. Now It's a Pride Mobility Go-Go Elite Traveller with a Locked up Transaxle

This is getting too repetitive again with broken transaxles, is it a Pride Mobility problem or something else? My thoughts are that Pride mobility scooters out-sell most other brands of scooter so that's why I see more Pride Mobility scooter in my shop for repair than other brands due to their popularity. Some repair calls we get here at our store we cannot work on due to a couple of reasons. S...
Pride Mobility Go-Go Folding Scooter with a Seven Flash Code Error

Seven Error code usually means throttle or speed dial problem but, in this instance, it took a little more time and poking around to figure out where the route of the throttle problem really was. Jazzy ZT8 mobility scooter with a Six Beep Error code | Normally an easy diagnosis but am I wrong?
Просмотров 4324 месяца назад
Normally a Pride Mobility six beep or flash code would lead one to think it's a throttle issue but not for the ZT8!! Reviewing the Pride Mobility Go Go LX 3 Wheel Mobility Scooter
Fantastic review kind regards from Uk and have a blessed Christmas sir!
Thanks, you too!
I come to realize the formula in my previous comment is not even close as you stated . The Yuasa brand batteries that are most often use in my ATV/UTV service business do display AH and CCA both so you can look them up on parts websites to get reliable AH to CCA ratings . These numbers should be a good reference for most brands . I did not notice this at first because my attention was mainly with AH until I got my BT200 tester .Example Yuasa AGM 18AH - 270CCA
Any way to make the Victory 10 a bit faster?
No, the only way you could make it go faster is change out the controller, wiring and top console and wider rear transaxle from a victory 10 sport which goes 8mph. I would just buy a victory LX sport or something like that if I needed faster speeds.
What grade incline can this handle? What about bumpy grass?
Maximum incline is 6° (10.5%) and we don't recommend grass sand or mud paths for any mobility scooters. Anything other than a smooth surface or well compacted gravel paths. This style of scooters is a mobility device to aid with walking. For other situations we recommend a larger recreational scooter with a higher ground clearance and more robust drive system to cope with different styles of terrain.
I found a formula for conversion , AH x 7.2 = CCA
Yeah, I saw that too and I tried it and is way off, for e.g. 12ah x 7.2 - 86.4 CCA and most new 12ah batteries I've tested read about 165CCA. So far I'm getting good results with the follow 12ah 165CCA 18ah 180CCA 35AH 210 - 230 CCA 40AH 235 -240 CCA 55AH I'm still testing
That back pouch is for your registration, insurance and your wheelchair ♿️ license 😂 lmao
Thats about all you can get in there lol, but there is more room in the back pouch than there is foot room on the floorboard.
Mine Has Oil And Not Grease And Is Leaking From The Zerk. What Oil Should I Use To Refill It? Thank You In Advance.
All Pride Drive and Golden scooters use grease not oil. Not sure what scooter you have that uses oil?
Nice little scooter, Good ground clearance. Say hi to your good lady and be lucky.
Hey Clive, will do my friend.
I know that most power wheelchairs can be programed in speed and sensitivity but have always heard that scooters cannot be programed differently than the way they come.....
Yes, you are correct, the powerchairs have many parameters you can change but even those are usually set to 100% speed. I can read the Companions and the ZT8 and ZT10 but again the top speed is usually set at 100% at the factory. As far as the Go-Go's Victories and Buzzarounds I've yet to purchase a programmer to see what setting they have if any that can be changed.
Thats a pretty nice unit. I really like the new Golden seats!! They seem to be using that pattern on the Companion series as well.
Yeah, they are really upping their game with their units as of late.
@@lasvegasscooterslifts I can't wait to get my hands on 1 of the new 3rd generation Companions!! I should have 1 by this time next year!!
Hi Ian!! Wanted to let you know that I was successful in grafting the 3-flat charger connector TO the generic charger in place of the 3 pin XLR connector. Really appreciate the info and even the wiring diagram!! (1st gen Golden Companion II)
Hey Richard, no problem glad it worked out. I've done that on one of our rentals that had an onboard charger built into it (Golden Companion) it works a treat. Glad I could assist.
thanks for the Review
Thanks Blue.
I like the idea of your channel but it woul be nice if coul share what you are actually doin and explain the process. Thank
Thanks bud I try my best to show as much as I can, but my number one goal is the customer's repair and sometimes get too busy to show everything in detail on my own.
Very informative video. I have watched several of your videos. The Golden Companion transaxle twice and the Pride transaxle video also the Go-Go and The Dussenberg turd was also very good. You sure do a lot of little clean ups and shine for the customers who drop off scoots that look like they were just dug up from the bottom of lake Mead.. That extra care really is admirable. I own a Golden Companion three wheel scoot and a new e Wheels 11 sports scooter { looks like all the body parts are from a Yamaha Vino Molti scooter} I went to the Yamaha web site for parts and except for being a 50cc gas scooter and only two wheels they share a bunch of body and suspension parts including the Flower basket mounted above the low mount head light, I mention this because if you ever get an e-Wheels 11 in for repair you will find it almost impossible to get anything from the company. I Hope you will have the chance {or misfortune} to work on one so I can see what makes it tick. Any way. I am a big fan of your DIY show. Cheers!
Hey Brand thanks for watching. E-Wheels announced last week that they are do the world a favor and are no longer in business. The sad thing is that I feel sorry for anyone who has bought one of their scooters as there will be and really never has been any customer/dealer support for their products.
Thanks , I may order the parts through you and try to do the repair in Oregon.
We are currently revamping our website online store and adding as many new, reconditioned/used/blemished spare parts as possible from the manufactures we deal with. We also trying beat Monster Scooter parts on their pricing too.
I’ve only had my lite rider about 20 months, had to get new batteries, it runs good so far. It was $1500, they’ve gone up since; , I might get a better bigger one, but I like the joystick, and short turn radius of the envy lite rider (300 lbs rating) for my small place .
Yeah, all the prices have gone up since 2020 and the lightweight carbon stuff is super expensive. I like the look of this one that Golden just released lasvegasscootersandlifts.com/store/index.php/product/golden-ally-folding-power-wheelchair/ but again its expensive.
Thanks for these informative videos Ian ! When I got my lite Rifer, , I did not anticipate golden’s reliance on 3rd party manufacturers. And it’s hard to know which are quality parts and not cheap unreliable knockoffs. The shops want 6 -8 weeks up here to schedule a repair. Mayb3 they can’t get spare parts either? So when I need a one, I’ll see if I can save by getting a part through you, and paying for trouble shooting. It’s seems that’s how golden makes money, making parts as much or more than a new scoot.
You're welcome. Anything to do with a scooter transaxle can be costly to repair and sometimes it's not worth the time and money replacing for something else like a controller to go bad later. Wow, 6 to 8 weeks seems a bit strange, they must be busy.
That brand is AWFUL CHEAP. I bought BRUNO. Thanks. For sharing. Great channel
I take it you had a bad experience with a Harmar lift? To be honest in the ten years I've been installing and repairing lifts I have four busted Bruno lifts in my warehouse and not one Harmar. We did apply to be bruno dealers and was told NO due to there is one dealer/supplier here in Las Vegas. Turns out the owner told burno not to take any other dealers for bruno lifts as they want to be the only bruno provider in Las Vegas. The owner even had the balls to come into our store say "if anyone needs a lift installing send them my way" I told they guy to go forth and multiply and get the hell out of my store. The sad thing is the customer is the one that suffers as they have no choice for parts, advice or repair. This leaves it open for price gouging and the owner can charge whatever he wants. I can't support a manufacture that doesn't want to support their customers or have a fair playing field between dealers.
thank you for all your videos. I have two elite travelers . I have had the trans-axle out of one to replace the drive bearings once, but now it sounds like the axle block bearings are bad. Do you have any idea what size the axle bearings are? I would like to order the bearings before I disassemble the scooter. I would like to press the old bearings out of the mounting block and replace them. Thanks again..
No sorry I dont.
A little drag here and there that's not supposed to be there all adds up
You are not wrong and unless you have or can find the right bearings it becomes costly replacing wheels that don't need to be replaced.
I have some motors with brushes and a couple without brushes I do understand the difference Do you know whether or not I can swap them out with the same controller? I haven't looked yet to see if they will physically fit to the other transaxle I have one motor that's four pole and of course it's missing a brush I learned from your videos I've been fixing them now and collecting for about four years
You know, that's a good question and I've never thought about it. I don't see there to be a problem using a brushless motor in place of brushed as long as the voltage and wattage is good. I'm going to have to do some tests to be positive that it can be done.
Ian, you should be a pro wrestler !
Because of my acting skills lol
I’d hate to see what that little tank did to the Tesla , lol
Yeah, I bet the tesla gets scrapped before that scooter does. lol
My son is in the Air Force, he got t boned , and now there’s a short in the electrical draining his Acura battery
That sucks both for the t-bone and trying to find the short.

Bolder than a baby's ass! lol
Man that guy put a recliner on that unit !
I think he hates it but won't let it die.
You work hard , good job
Thank you.
I just got done building one of those using chair motors in the rear
I guess technically you could do that but it would either be joystick controlled or just forward and backward only and no diagonal input like a joystick would provide.
Loving your videos, very informative, also I like the fact that you don't go for ball games, and that you're a music lover, what music are you in to?
Hi Philip thanks for watching and the kind words. Music wise, I'm a bit of an allrounder with that to be honest just depends on the mood I'm in guess. Disco one minute rock the next just depends, I love playing all styles because they are so different.
I hope you sell it and make your money back. Cheers from PHX
Thanks, it finally found a good home.
Long time no see .. a guy gave me a pride victory 10 4 wheel scooter with a bad motor and I had a practically brand new j a z z y power chair. I made the motors from the power chair onto the back of the scooter and it works perfect
Hey Ron, love me a four-wheel vic and glad to see you kept it working even though it might be a franken-scooter lol who cares if it works right!
Hi, just seen this video, very useful information for my wife's go-go. Looking at that wheel keyway I was wondering if it might be an idea to get a local machine shop or hobby machinist to run you up a few woodruff keys with the top flat part a few thou wider than the bottom rounded part for if you get another one like that?
I've managed to collect a few now because when they send a new transaxle, they supply new keys for them but I will keep that in mind just in case I ever run out.
I’m hoping to save everything els3 when it’s time for a new motor, but can’t wait 2 months for a repair
6-8 weeks is crazy I was going to suggest WSR but I know how much they charge for a call out 👀
I really enjoy watching you recondition, that Go-Go Sport. As I have one here in, Pahrump Nevada. It's sick. It's old. It's beat to death. It was running for me now it's not. And I believe it to be a bad cable in the tiller. I thought it was just the contacts on the connectors. Apparently not. Except the elbow. From the vertical tiller. To the under horizontal. Right there at that 90° turn of the cable. The internal wires have gone bad. I'll have to replace the entire cable on mine. I thought some cleaning and re-soldering would do the trick. Nope. It doesn't generally go bad, metal wires. But they can from, Metal fatigue. Not having any money or a slush fund to pay for repairs. Presents a greater challenge. Especially with my brain surgery 19 years ago. I can't do what I once did for a career living. It looks like you did a great job reconditioning that, GO-GO SPORT. Mine is much older and much more worn out. The tires have no more tread they are bald. These are solid rubber tires. These are not pneumatic tires. And the tires have no tread. I've never seen one out, hard rubber tires like this, before. Basically on a lawnmower. This must have carried some truly fat people. It does not appear to have been, in a flood, ever. Though it looks like it has been in a, hack attack, through the years. With many busy sets of fingers. And leaving out half of the screws. Half the screws are missing. The tiller control plastic surface has been badly busted. No key switch. Replaced with a toggle switch. No security. No one but him. Just a gaping broken plastic. Where the button and ignition key switch once resided. So it looks like this upside down, down the stairs or something? How else would you break the top of the tiller?. Unless this along with the occupant. Went falling down stairs? And they died? And then it got passed on to somebody else. I do not know? You see the damnedest destruction. Since this is my first, Pride Mobility, GO-GO SPORT, mobility scooter in my life. As a retired, broadcast engineer. With major traumatic brain damage. I'm not quite the same as I used to be. Thinking about it is one thing. Doing it is something totally different. My brain does not coordinate with anymore. It has become extremely stressful. After a lifetime of enjoying doing it. And my, neurologists and neurosurgeon told me. I would never make a full recovery. And I better get used to it. I still haven't gotten used to it. 19 years later on. It's very frustrating. Not to have personally gotten back to the way I once was. It's stress fully, frustrating. I know it's all lousy broken contacts, broken stressed wires and intermittency's. It's definitely like an old car, jalopy. Like the vehicle, on the Beverly Hillbilly's. You just have to know where to kick it. If you're lucky. So your video was, very helpful and well laid out. You, took things, further than I have thus far. Great to see your in-depth approach. And you said the unit smelled foul. So maybe in a very, sewage oriented backup? Maybe she pooped in her pants, regularly? And infused that aroma into the entire, mobility scooter? As it, had that dead old lady smell. She probably had been pooping and whizzing in her bloomers, regularly? And trickled down, throughout the mobility scooter. When her basement apartment filled up with sewage. And the mobility scooter got her through. So now it smells funny. LOL But you don't have a good feeling when you've finished a good restoration. And just want to get that smell out of your shop. And it burnt your nostril hairs. I know. That is a very satisfying video. Thank you for your in-depth look into a restoration of a Pride Mobility, GOGO SPORT. I would order that your used and reconditioned, GO-GO SPORT. But I'm in Pahrump Nevada. And it sounds like you are in, Australia or England? And is a bit far for me. Shipping would be far too expensive. Coming to you from your, limey English accent. All the way to, Pahrump Nevada. I also never knew. That the UK also had a, Las Vegas? Complete with hillbilly Caucasian women. I mean who knew? Yes that is the exact unit I have. Getting parts from the factory is impossible. They send you to a third party company. That's not the way to do it. That's being given the runaround. So all the parts are obviously from China. But the third-party company tells me. They have to get it from the factory. Which will send them the parts. They mark up, 50% and sell to you. Yet it's not the 1960s nor the 70s, anymore. We pretty much did away with the middleman. About 40 years ago. When laws were passed to prevent such, folderol. And now it's back to take advantage of the elderly and disabled. The most vulnerable. As I see it. These battery-operated mobility carts. Should cost between 100 and $500 US. Should be offered by the major bicycle manufacturers. As they are simply 3 or 4 wheeled, battery-operated and motor driven, bicycles. Designed for handicapped people. And are built like a cheap electric bicycle. And made out of much cheaper Chinese components. Not made by Schwinn, Raleigh, Trek. That will last for a 50-100 years. With virtually no maintenance. Except for the rubber tires and tubes. But these have solid tires. That can almost, never wear down. As they have no shock absorbing resilience to begin with. Yet the tires on this one are all bald. And I think it doesn't do, very well at the drag strip? With a, 5 mph, top speed, mobility scooter? But it does have virtually instant torque. To get you up and into that, crosswalk and mowed down. Buy a car. There will always be those. As I do think, invalids. Getting killed in crosswalks. Has always been short, sweet and funny. Funny for the invalid. Thinking... and I had to die, this way? In my battery-operated mobility scooter? Try crossing at, intersections. On the wrong, green light. And whoops. Splat! But you'll go out in style with a Pride Mobility Death Scooter. I want one. Now I have a broken one. I will have to make work again. But I will probably replace it with a shiny new one. Then I'll fix that one up. But it's an old clunker. Likely one of the first delivered. It's in rough shape overall. Likely excessively costly to repair. Has something is also wrong with the gearing. When in freewheeling mode, gear. You start pushing it and within about 20 feet. The electromagnetic brakes come on. But it's in freewheeling mode. And the brakes are on. Shove it back and forth. Flip the gear shifter back and forth. You are now back in freewheeling mode. And about 30 feet away. The brakes come back on. It's still in freewheeling gear. The brakes are on. Yes it's getting rough. Like an old jalopy. It was probably one of the first? The sticker with the serial number is illegible. Maybe it was originally stolen? And passed around to other old folks. I do not now? Now it's in my possession. It was gifted to me. Nonfunctioning. I got it to work. It worked reliably for a week and a half. Now nothing. The batteries are well charged. Battery indication looked good on the tiller gauge. The batteries are not the problem. (More Petri Dishes in the following post)
Hey Remy, We do have a "Vegas" in England its called "Skegness" or know by the locals as "Skeggvegas" Imove to the real Las Vegas in 2013 and I know Pahrump all too well. If you are sure that it's front to rear harness you can order parts from these guys that way you might be able to keep the Hillbilly Sport going. 4 Wheel F-R Harness monsterscooterparts.com/collections/go-go-sport-s73-s74/products/tiller-harness-for-pride-go-go-elite-traveller-plus-sc53-sc54 3 Wheel F- R harness monsterscooterparts.com/collections/go-go-sport-s73-s74/products/front-to-rear-harness-for-the-3-wheel-go-go-sport-s73
Now why the electromagnetic brakes are coming on in freewheeling mode? Sounds like it's time to get junked? As these are the most important components of the unit. The motor drive axle and tiller control. Nothing much to it. Nothing much to go wrong. The wiring all sucks. The Taiwanese parts are all, from China! And therein lies the problem. Emperor She. Does not want to have an abortion. Because he is a man. But he is a named She and Emperor for Life. He has declared himself. Isn't that nice of him? Chinese need to follow one supreme command leader. Their little Chinese brains. Can only invent the noodle. And fireworks to burn down the house with. But of course. What would you expect from the Chinese? Or the, Taiwanese? Aren't they a lot like Chinese? What's the difference? What speaks Mandarin. The other one speaks Cantonese. I don't care I can't speak nor understand either one? I just know anything is crap coming from there. They have no quality control, whatsoever. It's because they have, slanting eyes. They can't drive well. When it's not their fault. It's God's fault. I mean wouldn't you hate it. That anytime you looked in the mirror. Some Chinese guy is always looking at you. I would think it could be unnerving, to any, person? And probably happens to Chinese folks and most Asians every day? And what do you do? Yet I do not have the, proboscis. The schnoz. Or that New York City accent. To determine I am, Jewish. So I fool, everybody. Fake, everybody out. Whereas I'm just a, Jewish high school hillbilly dropout, from Detroit. Who made it to a respectable, CIA cleared, profession. Called a Washington DC Network Television Broadcaster. Ace Engineer. As, RCA/NBC. Only hired. The best engineers in the world. And we all knew we were in elite class of, engineers. Which all came with much honor and responsibility. I worked amongst, no fakes. No snake oil, charlatans like Donald Trump. Who just did what to our country? Praising Nazi generals? And then everybody likes him? What is there to like? But he's a charming individual. To, other misogynists. I guess? He is so damned boorish. So incredibly, ill mannered. He has no presidential decorum. He doesn't know what decorum, means? And the POTUS is not a standup comedian. Until now. And I'm even more worried. When Donnie keels over dead. JD Vance and even more maniacal predator. Becomes POTUS. These smiling, leering, Yale and Harvard grads. They want to re-create the USA in their image. Because our founding fathers didn't do it right! The side on the unethical. The only side that can make money. But smart asses from, Yale Jail and Harvard, know how to. Destroy the USA for their own, religious extremist, anti-everybody, anti-American, platform. Takes over. With Project 2025. The Nazi nation for the North American continent. Once called the USA. Now called, the United Trumps of, Merica. And it will be like one big old country club party every day. For the wealthiest on the planet. Who won't have to pay any taxes, ever, again. Because it will be fixed. So you can have wealth without taxes. As all of the people you hire will pay the taxes. And as he will charge a 20% tariffs on, Chinese products in the USA. To, financially punish the Chinese. Right here in America. Along with the rest of us. That will make up the difference in tax revenues. The wealthy and big business conglomerates will not have to pay for. Because that's what Americans want for the wealthy white elitist class of commercial robbers. It's all going to turn out perfectly. You wait and see. In which Eastern Bloc country we escape to? What's Edward Snowden doing these days? Did he get to vote? In whose elections? Isn't he innocent until proven guilty? Aren't I also? What's going to happen for the next two 4 years? How much damage will be inflicted? How was this allowed to happen? Who is responsible for this? Where does it say, in our Constitution a, Felonious Dictator, could take over? Where? Because hate filled Nazis want a dictator on their side? And that's a democracy? To elect a dictator? No no no. They got that wrong. No it's about, issuing more freedoms. Not taking them away. We are not going back even if he is. The USA has been taken over by a Nazi uprising. The German American Bund. It's the Germans. They keep creating these world wars. And they don't have to be in Germany. One was 1862 in the USA. After that came Russia and China. Israel and Egypt. Africa and Africans. Of the apartheid party. Where slavery hangover. Continued on unabated. Until Elon Mosque, figured out how to accept credit cards for eBay. Genius! What a genius! Who would have ever thunk how to do that? And for that he should be made the wealthiest man in the world. Then Jeffrey Bozzo. For selling paperback books, on the Internet. And I thought how stupid? How are you going to make any money doing that? I mean it was just a song by the Beatles. It's not for real. Right? How do you go from selling paperback books to putting the virtually every business in the USA out of business? And will possibly put Wal-Mart and Target out of business. All stores closed. Distribution centers only. Everything delivered by battery-operated drones. In 30 minutes or less or it's free. We would have to vote, anymore. The government will now be run by, Artie Fecal, intelligence. Artie is a great guy. Just not much in the way of IQ. And our government will now be run by Artie Fecal. Who will take over. So Donnie can run the government by remote control while golfing. Maybe this time around. He will tear down all of those stupid museums. Been there for over 100 years. And turn it into a new exclusive golf course. With beautiful white marble, residential overnight facilities. At a Faction, of a cost. From the original Syndicate. You'll have to pay into for protection. Because if you don't? What's to become of us all over the next 4 or, 1000 years? RemyRAD
On the scooters and powerchairs that I refurbish I use a level to level the arm rests.
You remind me of my brother Richard, I'm more of an "eye it" kind, that's why jenny won't let me hang pictures up 🤣
Plenty of foot plates always on Ebay Ian.
If it didn't sell I was going to look for one.
Nice one Ian. That's an easy $ 600 there when you consider what new one comes out at. Have two been celebrating this week.Say hi to Jenny and be lucky.
Hey Clive, we've both been hit with a bad cold this last two weeks, so it's been rough going and jenny sounds like she's been "working down ta pit". one good thing, I am looking forward to cheap gas (petrol) prices again. 😉
thank you for the video
Hey Blue, thanks for watching.
I have a scooter with 2 baterries of 12V and 12Ah each which means 24V..I'm not sure what charger should I use to charge them regarding the amp (written on each "less than 3.8 amp") .Thank you
24v 2amp (output 24v 2A) charger is what the manufactures supply with those size of battery set up. if you are looking for a replacement, just make sure it's for SLA batteries and not lithium Ion assuming you have seal lead acid batteries installed.
thank you so much for your help all the best
the charging voltage should be 28V ?

I like the joystick models, leaning forward to steer is a bit of a challenge with my disability.
Scooters are not for everyone and vice versa. I still manage to crash into things to this day when I drive a joystick powerchair 😁
It’s not portable Unless you don’t need it !
I don't think the Literider's are that transportable and with the introduction of all the carbon fibers scooters and chairs I think they will discontinue a lot of these style of scooters and chairs.
What mobility scooter has the fewest repairs ?
Good question! To be honest I see more pride scooters due to the popularity but it's usually down to how you treat them as to how quick they break. Out of all the Pride stuff the LX was the worst and the S19 Pride folding scooter was the fewest repairs. Golden stuff is usually from being treated badly but the early versions were not as well made as the versions they are doing now. Drive, well, just really cheap and poorly designed with a lot of after thought things especially with the Spitfire scout. The wheels are made of concrete, the seats were made so thin and the battery packs kept jumping up every time you went over any kind of bump stopping the scooter dead in its tracks. To remedy this, they put plastic spaces under the battery packs and a seat post clamp to hold the battery packs down. The front to rear connectors always get bent out of shape and are susceptible to dirt and corrosion causing connection problems with break and motor errors.
What is the most common issue you see with golden envy lite riders ? Can you run them on wet pavement ?
We don't really see many that need repair but mainly batteries and maybe a brake or wiring issues. No scooter or powerchair should be run in wet weather but saying that sometimes it can't be helped. We always advise if you do get caught in a wet weather situations try and avoid as much standing water as possible or drive really slow to prevent any water getting on to the brake or any electrical components.
thanx this just worked for my dads scooter saved us a fortune he was going to get a new one
Awesome, glad you managed to keep it going.
I have the current Vive model of this and overall we are fairly happy with it. It comes apart easily & the heaviest part is the battery at 34 lbs, which is good. Truthfully, we find it narrow and agile in tight spaces. Cons for us: my thumb gets tired of being on the throttle. Our only real problem with it: the battery does not seat well at all when you're trying to reassemble the scooter. Takes numerous tries for my husband to get it to fit right. It just doesn't want to get seated in its spot tho he does it as demonstrated. Husband sits on the edge of the SUV's trunk to assemble and take it apart. He's tall enough to not need to sit on the floor.😊
The Vive scooters are ok budget scooters. I had a guy visiting Vegas today have his break on him (7 beep code) which turned out to be the controller. luckily the scooter is under warranty, but this guy has to find a local dealer in CA who can work on them. Sometimes a major component like a controller or motor/brake/transaxle goes on them can make them too expensive to repair for some people and out way the cost of the scooter. Oh Yeah, those battery packs are a pig to get seated right, such a bad design that Pride dropped on the Ultra when they designed the Ultra X
Nice video, are there any compatible tires for the Pride Victory scooter on the market? Because the original ones cost a lot. Thanks
I doubt it if you want to use the original wheels. You could possibly use an aftermarket/used wheel and tire setup as long as the drive shaft and offset are the same.
