Hi Ian, good little video. The front to rear harness going off to the side looks a bit suspect. The marks on the cable looks like the battery box was sitting on it acting like a pivot. Look forward to the review video. Be lucky my friend.
Oh, that was my first assumption, usually it's the damn connector wire from the rear getting in the way but oh no!!! Just a ill-fitting battery box. Take care brother.
We are a Vive dealer. Their bent metal products are ok. I've had nothing but problems with anything that has electronic components. I would never recommend their scooters. On a side note, I finally got a quote from Drive for a new battery in the ZooMe I'm working on. Holy crap!! MSRP is $1316.00. That's half of buying the scooter new. All the other little components are pretty inexpensive, but that battery.... 😱
Hey David, yeah buy cheap get cheap I'm afraid. I've done a review video on this scooter and the many scooters that this scooter is based on which will be coming out next. As for Drive, we've been dealers for Drive for over eight years and their stuff is just as bad. We've had to stop promoting their scooters and powerchairs due to the fact that our cost pricing (wholesale) we make about $50 per scooter, no lie. All they are interested in is selling to insurance billing and the big online call center sellers mentioning no names but I'm sure you can guess who I'm talking about or do you need me to "spin" you a clue! lol As for the ZooMe battery, try Enhance mobility their battery is the same as the ZooMe at 50% of the price. If you look under the front blue shroud of the ZooMe it even say's Solax on the ABS plastic. If you are not a dealer of Enhance Mobility or need any help getting battery let us know.
I'll reach out to Enhance Mobility on Monday and see if we can open an account. If not, I may hit you up if the client wants a new battery. She lives in a retirement community and only uses the scooter on campus. So she's never far from home.
Us too. I know people have a budget and people LOVE the illusion of getting a bargain online, but I hear more and more stories of people not being able to contact customer service for these off-brand scooters and there are hundreds out there. Basically, we just can't get the parts for them (wholesale) Yes, we can buy some parts from Monster but try and put a mark-up on retail prices, people lose their sh!t and say to us "I can buy it online cheaper" I even had one customer refuse to have his unit fixed because I was going to charge $25 per hour labor. I heard a great saying a while back "A lady went to a mechanic as she had reversed into a pole and dented her bumper. The mechanic said no problem that would be $100, The mechanic got out a rubber mallet and hit the dent and it popped out like nothing had happened. The lady stood there in shock and said $100 for that, all you did was hit it with a hammer!!! the mechanic responded yes $25 for the use of the mallet and $75 for knowing where to hit it." Labor is not always about physical hours on the repair it's the tools and years knowledge knowing how to do the job.
John, I tried everything to get that damn thing to fit. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and just replace items instead of spending hours of trying to get something to fit. Take care bud.

I have "processed" pretty much all the brands out there in the last 13 years doing this and now only buy Pride and Golden units.....
