The Buddhist Tzu Chi Eye Center is an eye care facility for charity. It features top-of-the line equipment and a roster of volunteer eye specialists who cater to patients following Tzu Chi founder Dharma Master Cheng Yen's principle of respect for all lives and patient-centered medical services.
The Tzu Chi Eye Center TV produces videos that tell the stories of Tzu Chi medical volunteers' efforts in saving patients' sight and inspiring people's lives.

Delivering a very special gift
Tzu Chi volunteers recently delivered wheelchairs to a 19-year-old paralyzed girl and a family man who is also an amputee. Volunteers from Tzu Chi Vietnam also joined the activity.

186 freshmen students from the Medical Technology, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy, and Psychology programs of the Chinese General Hospital Colleges (CGHC) took turns assisting during clinics and serving food to patients at the Tzu Chi Eye Center in Manila from May 25 to June 21.

A Christian pastor sought Tzu Chi Eye Center's help to provide a wheelchair for a bilateral amputee. Pastor Jason Ortiz met 56-year-old Rodrigo Dumagat in one of his community visits to share teachings with more people. He found Rodrigo living alone in a crude hut in Malabon City. The wheelchair will greatly benefit him in his daily life.

On May 17, members of Pinaglabanan Masonic Lodge visited the clinic to volunteer. They served vegetarian pancit to the patients. The group, comprised of local entrepreneurs, had also donated the ingredients, namely noodles, vegetables, and tofu, that were used for this day's meal.
