CIOKS - Why we use RCA connectors..?
Why do we use the RCA plugs and sockets..?
There are 4 reasons:
1. They are more robust and durable.
2. You get a much better mechanical connection.
3. You get a much better electrical connection.
4. You will not confuse input and output of the cables.
Watch the video and find out in detail why the RCA connectors are better than the more common DC connectors.

    Hello Cioks team, I have a few questions and would appreciate your guidance: It’s almost impossible to find a 24V40 adapter. Do you have any suggestions for a replacement? Should we consider using a laptop adapter instead? You’ve mentioned Cioks 4 Versions 1.0 and 1.1. (I have 1.2 BTW) What are the differences between these units? Which power supply would you recommend for these units? Is it acceptable to use a power supply with 5V/3A for both versions? There are many power bank options available, and people would prefer not to buy an expensive one unless there is a real benefit. There are some DC 2.1 to USB-C adapters on the market. Would we get better results with a power bank if we use these adapters? If so, which cable would you recommend? You make the best power supplies on the market, and I respect that. However, many people like me have limited knowledge of volts, watts, and currents. A simple guide would be helpful so that we can spend our limited funds on the correct units. Thank you very much, and I understand this video is four years old, so I'm not sure if I'll get a reply-but any response would be greatly appreciated! Best regards,

    03:51 - "if you want to move or remove this pedal from the board, you'll have to of course remove the power supply first". I bet that's the trickiest part, because you can't unscrew the power supply without detaching the pedal first. And you can't unscrew the pedal, because it's covered with the power supply underneath the board. So the only way left is to detach the pedal from the sticky pad completely. I would like to see people doing it on a real board - it must be suffering of some sort

    • @dmitrymashkov9379
      @dmitrymashkov9379 3 месяца назад

      @@KittyKatATK I did that just yesterday. I had an existing working board where I wanted to replace the power supply. The tricky part was to find the right spot for dc7 - it can’t go under large pads. With medium pads it sort of matches, but I was able to screw down only two stand-offs out of 3. And of course I needed to detach one of the pedals from a medium pad and use my spare one to mount the supply first and re-attach that pedal again. If you’re building your board from scratch, then you may want to be really careful with layouting. I was shocked that cabling changed the desired layout drastically. With a power supply it’s just one more thing to keep in mind. Good luck

    Hi, I have your DC10 power supply unit. I would like to know if it is possible to use the DC10 to power both a Digitakt and a Digitone at the same time. It seems that input #10 on the DC10 is the only input that could be set for 12 volts with high enough milliamps, but I don't know if I totally understand how it works. Let me know what you think?
