how do you not have the horizontal bar and stupid ai icon at the bottom?
Thank you so much, I was always intrigued by the idea of putting my passion for and skill in 3D modeling towards something, but I never thought I could try to make a game by myself, since most games are made by game companies or at least a developer team. But seeing a lot of these PSX/PS1-style games that were made for Gamejams or by first-time game developers made me more confident that I could learn the ins and outs of game development if I really wanted to, and put my skills to use. I love horror and the PSX/PS1-style is the most unsettling type of horror game I've seen yet, I love the games by developers like Puppet Combo and 616 Games, and although I don't think I can make such a high-level game like those, I can bring some of my own original horror concepts into reality and make at the very least, a working game I can move around in with an unsettling atmosphere. I don't have a deadline for myself or any goal other than to learn from this experience, so I can learn the other things like creating UI and programming complex features on my own time someday...
una mierda de explicacion la de gimp
At first I thought there is no way I'm switching from Trello to Notion, then my brain almost exploded when you demonstrated nesting boards inside of boards. That is brilliant! Switching now 😅😅
Good video im making a horror game this is so useful
after texturing a model in blender how to I export it with textures to unity?
Yes this helped but I have one problem. Whenever I paint the trees they turn up side ways instead of it being vertical. Do you know how to fix this 😅. I might figure out how to fix it but in the mean time please help and thank you
Hey dude, I was having the same problem when importing custom trees made in Blender. I fixed the issue by exporting tree as fbx, and on export checking 'apply transform'. Need to do this because unity and Blender have different up axis. Also, once fbx model is in unity, under 'model' settings, might want to check 'convert units', this reduces scaling issues, from what I've found. Also custom trees need to have a nature shader, and an LOD group for best results, there are videos that cover that stuff though. So many little things to do just to get a tree into unity! anyway best of luck!
urp dosn t work on unity 6
sir where can i find this model
Could you bake the shader into a texture and export both object and texture in unity so you don’t have to reproduce the shader in unity ?
I'm not familiar with the process but I know it's possible to do this
What's the benefit of this compared to just forcing a lower game resolution?
better UI scaling, especially if you want to run it at 4K or ultrawide 1440p. It might require some more tweaking actually to make it look good at higher resolution monitors
In addition to what Chris said, in my experience when rendering in a low resolution you don't have any control over whether some kind of filtering will be used, with this method you can force it to render without filtering to get the nice pixel look
ı always wanted to make games like this but ı dont even know anything about coding or unity or any of these and ı have no motivation ı always give up so fastly maybe one day ı can
very good video
Good video
Nice tutorial, however, what if i want to extend the terrain later?
This video inspired me. Im suscribing
Can you make tutorial how to make this time of games for beginners? Or if you know this tutorial give a link, because I am looking for and can't find.
Another channel made a really good video on this inspired by mine, its worth a look: ruclips.net/video/HQ3uRKNdPWo/видео.html
@@hackticdev Thanks
I mean thanks for kind of somewhat explaining this but it would help if you made a legitimate tutorial for us noobs and not really just a summary of things you did to get to this done.
Hi, I made a video that goes into a bit more detail that you might find useful ruclips.net/video/7cw4ubAeADQ/видео.html
how do i remove shiny thing
Toree and Lunistice are what Sonic on Saturn should've been back then; in my humble opinion.
The only thing I can’t figure out is how to add an extra column like the “up next” column 😅 5:09 please….. I need help….
Please make more, I want this series to be continued.
Man you just saved my life. I really mean that. i have been struggling for 2 years to know how to have retro (2000) style game like mafia 1 on Unity Engine .god bless you. can you help me out how to have an old engine like LS3d or any other
subbed we need more content like this
Thank you so much bro you were the only dude who talked and didnt use a AI voice 😭
I don't think the after at 0:09 looks that good, it looks over saturated and the ground and the house kinda get mixed
You can also adjust the settings to your own taste. It doesn't need to be as saturated for example
fantastic tutorial 🍒
Thank you for this tutorial man, I was really looking forward to making a PS1 style horror game like puppet combo.
Can you please not waste our time with equations? Just explain in simple english please. Algebraic nonsense is not helpful and utterly useless to most people.
You could just skip that part of the video instead of leaving salty comments
I think you are missing the point. Including an equation like that teaches you how to go about solving a similar problem later. If he just tells you to do such and such, you will get stuck again later and need another video. Learning why you are doing the math will allow you to apply that logic in similar situations
You cannot trust anyone that doesn't delete the default cube in Blender. It's just wrong, wrong I tell you !
Your thumbnail is wrong. You dont turn a cube into enything in Blender. You delete it
me clicks subdivide blender: oh no you dont >:) *crash*
No, don’t make the controls bad. Good gameplay literally makes the difference between game being playable and played for a few minutes and never touched again. I have tried to play many PS1 classics which I haven’t played before, it’s very difficult to continue playing, you’re literally fighting with the game controls, and it ain’t fun
I wish I would had found this 48h ago when I spent 24h on making a map that now doesn't work. Great video, thanks!
Not useful
Show the texturing process! Texturing a cube and texturing a mansion are two different things!
3:30 how did you copied the selection and moved it in gimp ?
How do I export materials and textures to Unity?
I'm planning to make a 3D platformer in the near future when I move to Dubai, and I already mostly knew of these tactics and essentials , but the way you described some of them and gave me more info about them opened my eyes to them even more , so thanks for that, I'll be sure to use these elements in my game , and if I ever get famous, I'll remember you and will give you a shout out :>
but using this approach can we still use terrain tools like painting trees and instantiating grass on this custom mesh ?
my guess is souls-like could be up there but Indie games seem to have been doing well atm but idk what genera's. I don't think survival will be up there tho more challenge or tycoon esque. idk tho
Not a shooter ill know that before i even watch. Probably not a br im guessing since its overused now. Hmmm probably creative indie games are IN now 😮
IMPORTANT: You can also UV project from view an image/texture onto your model by downloading MTools from the Blockbench plugins panel! This can help align your textures onto your model! Thanks for the helpful video!! 👍
I clicked on this video just to see if banana and all are on here. I’m so happy right now. Oh my God.
Very condensed and informative. Great job!
Its one of the best add on i ve ever had. Thanks for the tuts. New subscribr here
So many genres are missing from this chart! Where's open world, 3rd person shooter, racing games, rhythm games, beat em ups, fighting games, sports games etc.?
Per the article - the genres selected in the chart are supposed to represent the genres that are most commonly made by indies. I do agree it would be nice to have data for these gernes too though.
Another great video. Excited to see you back to making vids!
That graph is measured by sales so it should had excluded battle royale, when most battle royales rely on massive playerbases through free copies and make money from dlc/skins. I think the information is useful, but if you don't like Sim or Deck games you likely can't create a good sim/deck game. I think you are much better off trying to make a game that is more aligned with your interests and climbing that uphill battle if it exists. This is also the same reason those genres do bad, they are people's first games and lots of those people don't even like that genre.
I absolutely agree, this should serve more as a general guide and I think the best approach is picking a genre out of those you personally enjoy that also happens to perform well on average. You're unlikely to finish making a game if you just picked it because of its popularity if you have no personal interest in it.
