A trip over to Rousay produces (As Ever) some beautiful fish, and a blast from the past with a fish I caught in April 2023 looking to have put on a pound plus.

After the passing of a good friend, I headed for the hills to try and attach myself to Heldale Crocodile (and keep it on the hook) Forgot the bulk of my food, had a tent built for an oompah loompah 🙄 and a camera that decided to do whatever it liked. Seen you and Alex at the end of your session that night you spoke to my dad and Davie who we stay with up there he grew up fishing Swanny was gutted to realise it was yourself a was out fishing when u came across the 4 of us watched all your videos pal love them gutted a didn’t get to say hi to you maybe nxt year.
I clocked you indeed, you were the only one I saw catching a fish 😉 Wonder why that was ? 🤔😂😂

was drinking in Solid rock and Alestorm were drinking in the corner. Eventually plucked up courage to go ask them to record a wee message on my camera. Basically telling my viewers they were going to punch them right in the balls. They hammed it up and it would have been awesome content had I remembered to press the record button. Felt such a numpty. Awesome fish Damien.

@whitetroutchannel It's a job getting them though, I've just taken 4 home from Germany 😳 I think the flash of white from the one side seems to work well in the darker (peaty) Lochs we have here. I still prefer my seeker's though as an all-rounder. But the stickleblades definitely seem to work. I'm going to try an experiment tomorrow with them 🤪 (the shy boy gets no sweeties)🤣
@@povfishingorkney id got mine when they came out mate but they where only the wee 3.5g ones, have you tried the glow in the dark westin 360s 10g mate, id wager they would work well 2 in those dark loughs your on

As ever, they're hard to put down 🤣 They are beautifully coloured, I can't figure that Loch out, you'd swear there was 3 or 4 different strains in it 🤔

some clonkers there mate, ive a few hotshots im guna have to use them more i think!! have you used the d360 V2 yet mate they move real nice in the water, gave me a laugh with the cups name too 😂😂😂
I haven't used them no, are they through lines? 🤔 I got a few abu sölv "smakks" home today, looking forward to trying them. They have a "rattle" in them 😏
@@povfishingorkney aye mate there line thrus, they run from 12g -28g and some nice uv patterns, i need to get me a couple of those solv smaks too they look real good those little rattles make a difference ive a couple of maxi goby coast wobblers abd theyve a nice we rattle in them too
